A great find on a Saturday morning, with local and organic food and craft stalls around the park, with the buzz of a traditional open market. Definitely a great place to go on a Saturday morning. Closes 2pm.

Stunning tulips in the spring. I love an extended sit on the shaded benches, or even just passing through for a quick moment of nature and calm. I appreciate how well-maintained the park is and what a slice of the neighborhood you get just sitting and observing.

a small quiet oasis in a sea of Ubers and taxis is Abingdon Square. the “square” is actually a small triangular plaza of trees, flowers, other greenery, park benches, and uncluttered pathways at the intersection of Eighth Avenue & Hudson Street. the space is super-clean and designed to be friendly to the eyes. bring a book and a cup of coffee and escape the din of the rest of the city. the plaza is planted right between the Meat Packing District and the West Village so there are tons of options to grab takeout and enjoy a meal Al fresco. while spaces like this are scarce in Manhattan…they should not be overlooked for both their utility and aesthetic

Terrific place to relax and ‘people watch’ the world as it goes past. Well shaded and plenty of seating. Safe for kids.

A small, but beautiful little park to sit and relax. Smell the flower’s, watch the birds.

I love this little park. It's a nice escape in the neighborhood, and I always like to come here during my lunch break. It's a well-maintained and charming spot.

Lovely floral plantings, and very comfortable benches in the shade or the sun.

Shaded benches line well planted beds of flowers and shrubs ... Several large trees provide a canopy overhead for shady comfort ... Although traffic sounds from Hudson Street can still be heard within the confines, the park is a lovely visual oasis to step off from busy streets and catch a breather
