Abraham Lincoln Park

Google
Beautiful park with tons of shade and a great enclosed playground area. Love this one because kids can’t run out of your sight easily when playing. Northwest Library is also at this location so you can spend hours of fun here with ample parking both in the library and on the street.

Google
Great place to take your kids. Whether it's biking around the block, a causal walk, or playtime with the little ones, this park will be for you. The kids play area is gated, shaded and small enough to see your kids from the seat provided, yet big enough for them to run around and play. Parking around is easy. You can take your dog as well, but they are not allowed in the kids play area.

Google
Love this park! It's super cute and usually has parents/kids playing or couples having a picnic. Great place to walk around, enjoy the grass and trees and chill out. The ooonly thing I would caution are the mosquitos. These things are mean and will go for your ankles. They come out mainly around sun set, so if you plan to stay longer, bring some repellent and change into those pants!

Google
This is a cute little Park off of Buena Vista Road in LA it is totally gated around it so the little ones can't go off into the street. It's shaded so that's a plus a little kiddos don't get sunburned while they're playing. And it's right next to the library, very convenient.

Google
I was there for No Kings. I think it was a great place for a protest. The park seemed very pleasant.

Google
This little park is located on the grounds of the library and is super quaint . We went during the early afternoon and it wasn't crowded. The kids all had a great time, and I'd definitely go back.

Google

Google
Just stopped by to have lunch in a green and shady spot. There's WiFi from the library, too. A cute playground, walking path, water fountain, and public art, too. There's even three electric car charging stations on Buena Vista.

Yelp
This park is next to the Buena Vista Library so parking is shared with the said library but there are also free street parking. It isn't that big in size but what I like is the green grass, abundant trees that give a lot of shade. There's also a playground for kids. What I like the most is the art on display here. There's a bust of Abraham Lincoln at the corner of Buena Vista and Verdugo. Towards the center of the park, you'll see a huge helmet in tribute to Amelia Earhart who flew out of Burbank Airport to her journeys. There's a huge Mexican hat called sombrero in tribute of Mexican farmers who worked on the farms of San Fernando Valley many decades ago. Also a hat of Abraham Lincoln which this park was named after.

Yelp
Helloooo!!!! Mr. President....I can use some of those thought processing moments of Your wisdom from you from centuries ago. I Wish you were still with us. Any ways, I'm so glad we have built a statue of you here in Burbank, CA. I didn't realize we have This, 'Abraham Lincoln Park,' here in Burbank, CA. I took a late evening stroll here just to cool off the fat calories I ate from Yoshinoya, Los Angeles, CA. I also uncovered that a local Burbank library is situated right next to 'Abraham Lincoln Park,' well how fitting. I have to consult the Yelp page for the exact name of that library again, because it was my first visit to the park And the library. I didn't get to go inside the library because I arrived at closing minute. 'Abraham Lincoln Park,' Burbank, CA definitely appeared to me a smaller scaled park, more like a community park to those residents who live on Verdugo and Buena Vista cross streets. This local park in Burbank, CA., is great for walking dogs, running and strolling for any forms of exercise. This was an extremely pleasant find here that I came across, 'Abraham Lincoln Park,' in Burbank, CA. today on Feb/10/2024. This had to be a lucky sign.....I'll swing by again....also, definitely free street parking was provided. Totally convenient here to visit. See you soon, Mr. President.

Yelp
Abraham Lincoln Park is a sweet little park next to the Burbank library on Buena Vista. It's a lovely place to take a walk, have a picnic, and enjoy being outdoors. It's a small park, but large enough to enjoy walking for a while. There are beautiful walk paths, a little rose garden in front of the library, a statue of Abraham Lincoln, and a statue and memorial of Amelia Earhart. There's a small children's playground in the center of the park. Lots of trees for shade. My pug loves walking on the walk paths and sniffing the fallen leaves. It's a beautiful place to connect with nature.

Yelp
Perfect park for little ones that are just learning to walk. The park itself is a nice large grass and tree area. In the center is a covered playground for little ones surrounded by a fence with two access points. I'm not sure the cement features are really kid friendly but they are cute. There are no swings, which is kind of a bummer. But a small play area that little one can run about without having to be hovering over them. There's lots of benches inside and outside the playground. And for moms with kids and babies in strollers, it seems a nice circular walkway inside the fenced area works well to let one roam while getting your mommy laps in while getting baby to sleep in the stroller. I still don't get all those Q code things. I mean, isn't getting your kid to the park suppose to get then off their electronics? I guess I'm officially old! My granddaughter is 5 and she was not entertained very long here. And she doesn't have a phone and I'm certainly not going to find another reason to keep her mind on electronics. I think this park is best for ages up to 4 years old.

Yelp
Small little park good for 30 minutes or so. They do have some steep climbing areas but for the most part it's a great park for two-year-old

Yelp
Alert the members of the Baby Sitters Club (ah, the memories of reading those books during my childhood) because this park is a wonderful place to entertain your children for free. Lincoln Park is very esthetically pleasing with lush green grass, several palm trees, shaded areas, bike/walking path, and a beautiful fountain on the side by the Buena Vista Library. Although there are no pavilions, athletic courts, or picnic tables; the children will enjoy the fenced-in covered playground area. Yep! You heard that right! COVERED! The playground area has a covered top so that you don't have to worry about the little ones getting a sunburn. Plus, the play area also have SEVERAL, and I mean several, of those Little Tykes plastic big wheel and car type toys for the kids to drive around. Now, THAT is showing that sharing is caring. Lincoln Park is a great place to grab a book at the library next door, take the kids to the playground and enjoy some lunch/book reading under a tree. Good, clean (minus the grass stains), fun.

Yelp
Love love love this park. It's such a great park for toddlers. It's very clean and it's right beside the library which is a big plus. I can hit two birds with one stone. The people who bring their kids are very friendly. The kids are not rowdy. They have a playground and swings. Most people bring their own toys so the kids can play with the sand. Dogs are not allowed inside the playground. The park isn't so big but that's what I love about it. The only cons about it is they do not have a basketball, tennis or any type of sport field.
google avatar

Yelp
Lincoln Park's like the Buena Vista Burbank Library's backyard. I like love it because you can run, jog or walk in circles all day. They have a designed walkway in and around the place. There's a small but nice gated playground in sand for parents with children to enjoy too. Nice mix of trees like pine and willow. Maybe oak too. Well kept. Beautiful ambiance.

Yelp
Cute little park. Note the little. This is not the place to go for sweeping views, long trails, or a tranquil escape from the city. (Try Topanga Canyon State Park for that.) This is a park for a quick picnic lunch, or a place to take your kids after work. There is some paved sidewalk (great for strollers), picnic tables, and a fenced in play area for the kiddies. If you're a parent or babysitter, this is a great, safe place to let the little ones play. Plus it's free.

Yelp
I am writing this for my son, Jonah, who is two and cannot write yet. "This is my favorite park! I love to come here with Mommy and Daddy. They don't take me here enough. We pass by it all the time on the way to daycare, but they never stop, know matter how much I protest. They have so many toys there! I don't need to bring my own. Lots of soft sand to play with. They even have this big metal thing that goes around where I play so that I can't run away (I really love running). There's a big hat over the whole playground so that it doesn't get too hot. I really don't need that yucky white stuff that Mommy and Daddy like to rub on my arms, legs and face, but they do anyway when it's very warm. Lots of trees and grass and wa-wa [fountain]. Sometimes my friends from school come and play with me. Sometimes I meet new friends there. I love this park!"

Yelp
A nice little park with a play area designed for 2-5 year olds. Benches and close to the library. Parking: street or at the library

Yelp
Lincoln Park is a cute little park. The fountain right next to the library is so peaceful and beautiful. Lincoln Park though is most definitely a children's park . I used my handy dandy Yelp app to looked up a local park that my boyfriend and I can go to so that we can just relax after dinner and I found this park. It's not that we were uncomfortable but being a young couple in our 20's and seeing a bunch of little kids running around wasn't something we were ready for. We looked at one another and just awkwardly chuckled. We both decided that we'll take some time away from this park. We won't be back for awhile at least another 5 years. So... If you're a parent -- you and your child(ren) will love this park. It's clean, safe and everyone seems really happy. If you're single or a young couple -- you might want to find another park, you'll be here soon enough, don't want to rush it ha ha

Yelp
The gated playground and "little mover" toys make this park a dream for the littles! This park became a favorite of mine when I first discovered it. The feature that most drew me there is its enclosed playground. It has a nice little fence that keeps the kids safe while they're running and playing. Just be sure to watch those gates! Every now and then a parent or child will forget to shut them. I had one particularly terrifying moment when I was 8 months pregnant and had to chase my kid down as he took off towards the street. The play structure is well shaded and designed with smaller tots in mind. My son is just 3 1/2 and he's already looking like the big boy on the playground. A huge draw for us parents are the many mobile toys that have been donated (or rather dropped off) to the dismay of the parks and recs association. The kids sure do love 'em though. Big wheels, scooters mini cars, trucks and the like vroom vroom all around the track that encircles the entire play area. This keeps the kids very active. Which c'mon, isn't that why we're there? Wear em down I say! Last year some notices were posted stating that the little toys not belonging to the park would be removed. The parents were in quite a tiff over it. That's kinda why most of us go there. But they just continue to show right back up. They disappear, then reappear. Some magical outdoor toy elf is very busy! Take that, park! The surrounding park area is lush and green with well groomed paths that lead to the library and streets. There are plenty of leafy shade trees and the grass is perfect for throwing a blanket on if a picnic is need. The relatively small playground is perfect for keeping an eye on the kids from all angles. Bring your cup off chai tea latte and with any luck you'll secure yourself a shady bench and enjoy watching the little ones

Yelp
I love this little park! With that said, it literally is little in size. What I truly enjoy about it is that it is adjacent to the library. You can borrow a book and read under the shaded tree on a nice day. It's a very family friendly park, with a few benches and tables in case anyone ever wanted to sit and eat there. There's also large playground/jungle gym for kids to play on. Perfect afternoon pastime for kids!

Yelp
We spent many a wonderful hour with our two year old at the playground in this park, until the 'redesign.' So disappointed. No swings and the concrete structures? The wee one has already hurt herself on these. If a design was to be inspired by, it would be Ralph Foy Park. Our new favorite.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
There is a great amount of shade at this park- the trees are amazing! However the new playground design is lacking. Burbank missed the ball on this one. NO swings and the only slide is a spiral one. The bears are cute, but I'm sitting here hearing kids sigh and asking to leave. Even my 2 year old is saying "all done" after 20 minutes. Usually you can't tear kids away from a park. Like I said the park itself is beautiful, but thumbs down on the playground.
google avatar

Jan V.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years with my first born it had nice swings and slides. I mostly liked that it was fenced and the kids can't leave the playing area. So fast forward to now 6 years later, they recently re did the playing area and it's not kid friendly. I now have a baby and I felt the material that they used for the play ground is to hard and rough. If the kids fall they will get hurt, and they have a playing area with bears instead of swings and the bears are all hard and rough. I miss the old playing area. Not this new hard piece of s**** material they used.

Yelp
So let's say you work in Burbank. Your boss is royally pissing you off and you are having postal thoughts of destroying her and your idiot co-workers by any means possible...death my papercuts anyone? Basically, you are having what many like to refer to as a "shitty day." Well, I have the answer for you. Stop by Handy Market up the street, grab a sammich and a Vitamin Water and then come to this park and sit outside and eat your lunch. Trust me on this. It works. Now, I'm not saying that this park has magical powers or anything, but when I worked for quite possibly one of the most effed up people in this city, there were many lunch hours where I just needed to get the hell away and this park served me very well and I'm happy to report that no one was smothered with a TPS report or beaten with a red stapler as a result of its therapeutic powers. So thank you Lincoln Park. You are the awesome. :)

Yelp
Very clean and nice park. Very good area of town so the park is very well kept. For extra safety, I usually see a police officer near the library if anything happens. Not a lot of seating as far as picnic tables go, but bring a blanket and enjoy the beautiful weather. Fun playground for kids. BONUS!!! Dogs are allowed but they must be leashed at all times. Also, make sure to pick up all the dog poop to keep it kid friendly :)) Don't want any angry parents yelling at you!!

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for the perfect park for my 14 month old. Luckily I hit the jackpot with this one! My daughter had a playdate here the other day with two of her girlfriends and all three of them had a blast, us parents had a blast, and it made for a perfectly long nap afterwards. The fact that this park is enclosed is wonderful. Although I still have to follow my daughter, it really helps to know that I can take my eyes off of her for a few seconds and not have to worry about her running off. The play area is perfect sized for toddlers and I really like that they have toys for the kids to play on scattered about. Apparently they had tons more toys that were no longer there and they no longer have sand toys available, you must bring your own now. No biggie. This park does tend to get busy though and with older kids (older meaning 3-4 year old range). We love this park!
google avatar

Deirdre H.

Yelp
I love love love this park for my boy. It has the perfect combination of donated toys; pails and shovels for the sand, toddler cars, scooters, you name it, it's here. The age range is on average 1-4 years, and the kids who are regulars are really good at being careful around the little ones. On occasion there is the lazy, cell-phone mom whose undisciplined child is causing problems, so the rest of us moms have school her in play-yard etiquette, but it's not often. This park is also within the vicinity of the Buena Vista Library so your little one can enjoy a story time before or after play.
google avatar

Coni M.

Yelp
Nice community park with pleasant people & well behaved children. It also has a big Library & Civic ctr on the grounds. What's really gr8 is the park is very near all the tasty eats in town. The only draw back is the kids playground is a little small.
google avatar

Ins K.

Yelp
I wanted to take my son to a different park and having read the reviews, I figured this place would be a winner with the extra toys/cars to play with. We got there and there was nothing - no toys as mentioned by other parents - I guess this was a thing of the past. It's a tiny, very old play area - maybe okay for the locals, but we drove from the valley and there are MUCH better parks i.e Mason Park, Balboa Park, Gates Canyon, Dearborn park. I then googled other parks in the area and found the one in Griffiths park was a 10 min drive from where we were - so we headed off there. Don't waste your time with this place!!!

JADE F.

Yelp
Park is cute, it's small and the playground is filled with toys and toddlers. This isn't good for older kids anyone bigger than a toddler. My daughter is 6 and she wanted to play on the slide but couldn't bc some of the other parents were giving her the stink eye. I got it park for little ones only. My daughter also took her scooter bad idea! The little ones were all over the path. The park itself was nice and clean.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
This is a great park. It is covered so if you forget the sunscreen you are ok. Completely gated which is great for toddlers plus the library is right there!
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
I give it 5 stars because the city maintains this park very well. the grounds keeper cleans the sand area, sweeps the sand and makes sure things are tidy. The children's play area is gated so no worries that they will run off and have to get up and chase down your kid. There are wheeled toys and sand toys to share. Best to get there in the early morning. It does get crowded. It is shaded and has benches. no dog are allowed in the play area so no worries that there is poop in the sand or dog pee spots on the jungle gym floor areas. Thank you city of Burbank.
google avatar

Maria E.

Yelp
This is so far one of our favorites parks we love to come and play, it is very clean and gated which helps a lot to relax while the little ones run around, the sand it is always clean and nice for playing not mentioning that as a big plus we have the ice green area and library which makes the trips to the park an absolute hit.
google avatar

Hoo Lynn E.

Yelp
The park isn't that big, but I love love love that it's gated and instead of wood chips for the flooring, it's sand! Awesome awesome sand! Help stimulate ur toddlers mentally and physically! I would definitely come by again. Bring a bucket and shovel so your little one can enjoy the sand and wear your sandals so u can kick them off and jump in too.

Yelp
Spent a great afternoon here sitting in the grass with my newborn. Overall it felt safe as there were enough people coming in and out of the library, so while there were a few questionable folks lounging in the park as well -- it was an enjoyable place to hang out. Easy street parking was a bonus!
