Best Tour Companies in Israel (Updated 2025)

"I found Abraham Tours aimed at independent, budget travelers who want lots of context — they give extensive information about the culture, history, and politics of the region — and offer trips from short half- or one-day outings to 2–12 day itineraries focused on hiking, food, or the desert. Their short offerings include a Jerusalem graffiti tour ($28) and a kibbutz experience from Tel Aviv ($63); a three-day Jerusalem and Dead Sea tour starts at $146 and a five-day northern and coastal trip costs about $375. They also run “dual narrative” one-day tours of Gaza, Jerusalem, and Hebron (around $100) that include activities such as driving along the Gaza border, exploring Jericho, seminars on the Gaza–Israel conflict, and even video calls with Gaza residents to present both sides." - Matthew Kepnes

I took the tour to Gaza envelope with my son, and it was definitely the top experience here in Israel. We saw many things in one day, had a good explanation from our guide Tania. The trip was very emotional, we saw remains of all the horrors that region went through, and we ended it with a positive note from Efrat, amazing woman from kibutz Yad Mordechai, who shared her story with us. The lunch there was also great! We are very thankful!

We joined the Gaza Envelope and Nova Festival Memorial Tour with Amit Musaei Tour Guide , and it truly exceeded every expectation we had. I knew it would be emotional, but we were not prepared for how meaningful and powerful the experience would be. Our guide Amit, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival, shared his story with honesty, sensitivity and remarkable strength. Hearing what he went through, right there on the very ground where it happened was both heartbreaking and inspiring. It added an incredibly human layer to everything we saw. It gave us all a chance to witness, reflect and understand. Although it felt heavy at times, it was balanced out with humanity and hope. It is a journey of remembrance and connection-I can't recommend this tour highly enough. Maria Toronto

We really enjoyed our day trip with Ariel to Masada, Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea. The tour was super smooth, well organized and timed. Everything just flowed. Ariel was kind, interesting and informative and shared wonderful anecdotes of history at each location. The group was nice, the price was fair, the transportation comfortable. We couldn't have expected a better experience!

Great tour! Opportunity to pay respect to those who lost their lives &/or were taken hostage on October 7, 2023. Well organized tour. Tanya presented a historical background and also many details of the harrowing events on October 7th. Highly recommend!

We did the free walking tour as well as the Mount of Olives tour with Shahkar today and it was just incredible. He's a real treat for the ears and the eyes ladies! Excellent knowledge and very well presented. He gave us tips on where to eat and all in all, we enjoyed both tours very much. Can highly recommend! We've booked a few different tours with this company. Looking forward to the rest!

Had a wonderful 2 day Petra Tour. The organization was spot on with useful information prior to the tour and updates throughout. We had enough time at each stop. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Food on this tour was better then most and accommodations were just right for this trip with options working for everyone. Lucky to have a great group of people on the tour as well. Petra is simply wonderful and not to be missed, definitely book and enjoy the tour!

Had a great experience. Our tour master guide was Orna, and she is incredible. She brings a lot of extra material to help get a better understanding of history and knowledge of this amazing place. Be ready for a lot of walking around the whole city and all its important highlights. Luckily we were allowed a lunch break which was great to rest a bit and reload our energy! There is so much history taking place here that by the end of it, its really hard to remember so many details, but it is definitely worth a visit and taking a guide to help understand how things were and why things are how they are. Important. Make sure to make this tour when there are no public holidays for ANY religion or state, this way you have a greater chance to entering some of the more forbidden areas as they are closed on holidays.

I've done the Jerusalem day trip from Tel Aviv with Abraham tours and it was very well organized. But overall I have to thank Dror for being one of the best tour guides I've ever had. His passion can be seen in his tour and stories. Jerusalem is one of the places you have to visit once in your life. I just found the time at the market in the morning was a bit too long and would have preferred a few extra minutes to get souvenirs in the old city, but it was good to relax before doing lots and lots of walking - be careful it can be slippery. Update with tour 2: I also did the masadi, ein Gedi and dead sea trip with them the following day. And again, 5*! The tour was self guided but with the app totally enjoyable. The timetable was fantastic, especially in Masada as there was barely anyone up there and we've got to the dead sea before the big crowd. I wasn't too impressed with Ein Gedi but it was still beautiful (but it was also pretty hot, so that might have been it). Thank you Abraham's for making this trip so enjoyable.
