Very interesting experience, basically you choose what you don’t eat or mention if you have allergies. From here, the magic starts - the chef gets inspired by looking at you, at your friends and starts preparing something unique. The staff is super nice, the kitchen is open so you can see what’s happening at all times. The place is very cosy and placed in a nice area in Paris. Not to miss!

A fantastic, friendly, 100% japanese team for a French dinner inspired by Asian cuisine. 20 seats or so, open kitchen. Reservations needed. Everything was excellent. We shared the Macquerel and Sweetbreads as appetizers, the pigeon and duck as mains dishes. Perfectly executed. Michelin-starred cuisine, without pretention. Off the beaten track, and definitely worth the visit.

Probably the most affordable Michelin starred cuisine in Paris with no pretensions. Small dining room with an open kitchen, chef Katsuaki Okiyama offers modern French cuisine with a touch of Japanese sensitivity. We opted for the 4-course lunch menu with a certain flexibility. No doubt a delicious meal perfectly presented but no dish really stood out as I expected. It was still a very pleasant experience and I’m ready to come back for a bit more! Oh the poaced peach dessert was awesome! More food reviews on @palaisdeyiyi ! Cheers ! 🫶🏻

Abri was pure joy. The chefs menu was full of unexpected combinations. The wine menu favored natural wines, which are not my typical first choice, but paired appropriately as we moved from the delicate dishes into the more savory and grippingly tannic courses. Fred, our server, was joyful and professional, and made the evening even more memorable.

It was a great experience having the tasting menu at Abri. All dishes were spot on, apparently simple but fresh and full of great flavours. The duck and monkfish were sublime. Best dinner I had in a long time and the prices were very competitive. They have a nice selection of wines, sakes and Japanese whisky. Next time I’ll go to Paris I’ll try to book again. Bravo!

Google
Food looked better than it tasted. It's a Japanese fusion Parisian taste. Everything looked very farm to table fresh but it was lacking flavor. The duck breast was great tho. Did the wine pairing too but wasn't impressed. For the price, I didn't think it was really worth it.

Much to my shame I didn't realise that this place had a very much deserved Michelin star until I was on dessert. €65pp for a tasting of this calibre is a steal and I would go every time they altered the menu if I lived in Paris. Tiny place so book ahead. Open kitchen so you can see everything. No wine pairing but the wine list was incredibly affordable

#28 cf Michelin Stars Challenge Googlemaps list. A Bistronomic experience in Paris. Paris is a very interesting gastronomic scene. Bored of the Michelin Star style some rebelled, created this concept of Bistronomy (gastronomy and bistrot ), to up the gastronomic level while keeping the price and the atmosphere of bistrots. Great success, especially since you can consider that they are responsible for upgrading the entire level of the gastronomic scene in Paris. Abri is one of symbolic exemple, you have a Japanese chef who worked with the Michelin in mind, and but also with a very true Parisian spirit. So French cuisine with a Parisian atmosphere by a Japanese chef. I love the starter because it does represent the 3 influences (French Michelin, Parisian Bistrot and Japanese perfection/touches). You can go with friends, colleagues or as a couple. For a business lunch, it can be great if the person is not too old school. I spotted just one tourist couple, which is amazing that this place manages to stay true, and did not yet become hyper touristic like some. Service is of quality. Deserves its star An experience. Dress code: you’re working next door, but you’re making an effort for the lunch with your friends. Update 2022: Went back a year and a month after. Same great atmosphere and concept. It’s getting a bit easier than before to get a table. I think you should jump on the opportunity before the chef moves on (it’s been more than 5 years so you never know…). It’s a solid star that you should enjoy if you did not yet!

Yelp
This place is a gem!!! It's really discreet and not flashy and to think we stood right in front of it and didn't know we were there until we asked. This place is so amazing and the food is absolutely spectacular. Of course it is... it's Michelin star!!! However it's humble and not flashy which made it more special. our dinner consisted of 6 dishes each and each table had different entrees which I must say... there were moments I was drooling over other table dishes. I want to write more but why ruin it. Go find out for yourself! Also, must say the PRICE IS FANTASTIC for the meal! Very limited space so RSVP is a must!

Yelp
Come here for a really unique sandwich that you won't really find anywhere else - a true mix of Japanese and French fusion in a sandwich. The sandwich is only served on Saturday afternoons and costs 13€ for the sandwich + a drink, which is a pretty good deal. The sandwich is filling and is made fresh. Since they only make one thing, the food comes out pretty quickly. The restaurant is really small with seating for about 20-30 people, so come solo or with one other person as most tables are for 2. The sandwich itself was really unique with a light, fluffy pan de mie. Then it was a freshly deep-fried piece of pork tonkatsu that was really tender, a slice of American cheese, and thin omelette, tonkatsu sauce, French mustard, and red cabbage. It sounds like a really odd combination of things, but each bite had a lot of different flavors and textures that complemented each other well. They also give you madelines at the end of your meal which is a nice touch. Note that you get an espresso to go with your madeline, it will set you back 3€ which is a bit pricey for a tiny espresso. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you like tonkatsu, sandwiches, or unique combinations of cuisines and flavors. Affordable for lunch and quick if you can get a table! They also do takeaway, but the sandwich is a bit on the messy side, so try to eat inside if you can.

Yelp
I have tried multiple times to make reservations for this place and it gets cancelled each time. On various different dates and times. It blows.

Yelp
My boyfriend got as a reservation for lunch at 12:45 and we got there around 12:30. A bit early, but we thought to pop in. However the lady that was handling seemed to be rude / had a bit of a... "rough night" it seemed like. Her attitude was off, if not slightly rude - very subtle. Anyways the food was great. Loved the trout as main course :) cheesecake for dessert was amazing. Cute interior!!

Yelp
Stopped over on this side of town to try their well written sandwich here!! It's only offered on Saturday and there are no other menu options...but we came here for the sandwich...it was well made...bread was well toasted!! The pork was yummy and the omelette was soft but as much as I wanted to love it, I could not say that. There was nothing wrong with it per say...just wasn't worth my trek over here for. It's a really good deal with a glass of wine for 13 euros but maybe I am not a big sandwich person and I let the reviews get my curiosity.

Yelp
Definitely make a reservation otherwise you will be forced to order from a selection of the normal menu, which was essentially half of their current menu, of the less desirable dishes. Can't give a proper review of the restaurant because we couldn't try the dishes we wanted to, but this was not a good sign for us.

Yelp
I went to Abri for lunch with a friend and it certainly is a place to mark down for a lunch spot in Paris! The location is near Metro Poissionniere which is trendy but also l pelt as it's between Montmartre and the Grands Boulevards neighborhood. It's a whole in the wall with so much charm. It is a Japanese restaurant by night, but on Mondays and Saturdays they've got a great lunch deal : 13€ for a sandwich and organic beverage of choice (coffees, teas, juices....) The sandwich is stuffed with a thin slab of breaded pork, a patty of scrambled eggs, cheese and cauliflower with saucy goodness. It really is delicious as it is cute --- and a combination of ingredients I would have never tested otherwise. The shop has small tables and from what I've heard and experienced, it's often crowded during their lunch days (only open noon to 3pm). The whole place probably out seats 16-18 people. My favorite part about the place itself -- clean cut and simple industrial style -- was oddly enough the bathroom. It is honestly just fantastic. The walls are wood beams and the lights are dim. The sink is made from cement blocks and they have rustic sink and vintage mirror sitting on the pipes. On a sidenote, when restaurants have those little bars with soap just attached to them it sure does make me happy. And wash clothes to dry hands? So classy. Definitely a lunch spot to discover.

Yelp
The place interested me a couple days earlier and I tried to reserve online. However, they seem to not accept reservation for a single person. As I was traveling by myself, I decided to walk in on a Tuesday afternoon hour before close so I will not take up seat if they want to fill the table. However, I was just flatly refused service and told to reserve online and if I'm by self, touch luck, they may serve me if they feel like they can. I work in a service industry ( lawyer in the US and a restaurant owner) and surprised such a service in a non-exclusive non-3star restaurant. May be the food is good, I dunno. Good luck and hopefully you're not traveling alone. Refused service means I have no reference on how to review the place other than the fact of being defused service.

Yelp
We were a bit disappointed by Abri, but in their defense, we have done lots of delicious restaurants these past months so the competition was tough. Their surprise chef's menu costs €47 per person (3 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert). It is €5 more than at Aspic, and made less of a lasting impression on us - let's say it was of unequal quality. For instance, as starters, we had mackerel (very fishy, a bit difficult if you are not such a raw fish person), a delicious mushroom risotto, and a quite bland root veggie soup. Service is nice, but quite efficient (we finished all the dishes in 1h20 tops, whereas we usually stay in restaurants for hours). Also: Not everyone had the same dishes (despite the menu being fixed) so it was a bit deceiving to look at other people's plates - sometimes you found yourself rooting for that delicious stuff they seemed to have but you never got it. That is not to say that you shouldn't go there. They are nice people, the place is very cute (good for a date, even though some tables are a bit close to each other) and there were some truly good dishes. But Aspic and Pierre Sang seem better value-for-money from my experience.

Yelp
Menu imposed at lunch on Saturdays with a deal: good sandwich / "croque monsieur" with breaded pork and omelette but the Tonkadsu pork is too hard. The service is on the other hand deplorable: the arrogant French man (new butler) refuses customers a few minutes before the opening at 12h30 without explanations whereas 12h is the opening time indicated on the site, welcomes coldly, does not present the menu of the drinks even on demand, says there is no hot tea whereas there is, seems to make fun of customers and his work and duties. There is no name "abri" on the shop facade, the place is not clean. I was first willing to test its Dinner menu but I will avoid because of the service.

Yelp
Holy cow! This place serves an amazing lunch. Their meals included flowers and other fancy little things. Very friendly service in many languages. Worth the extra price for the experience and flavors. Hard to get a seat so reserve ahead of time!

Yelp
Just f*ing amazing. The chef looks at you and makes what he thinks you'd like. What you get depends on what's in season, the chef's uncanny perspicacity, and where the muses take him at that instant. This is the purpose of life, the apogee of human civilization. It's worth the wait, book now and distract yourself with other things for a month.

Yelp
Too cool for school, with service to match. Arrived for lunch. Place was full. Told we would have to wait. Asked how long, were told "about 10 minutes, I'm not sure". We asked to wait inside but were told to leave and come back. Came back 10 minutes later, and were told they were closed. They probably could have mentioned that when we first arrived. I'm sure the food is great, but they've still got a lot to learn about customer service.
