Fantastic place! My husband and I had a brilliant time here. The live piano music created such a lovely atmosphere. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, making us feel so welcome. We tried so many cocktails, and every single one was amazing! When we’re back in Prague, we’ll definitely be visiting this quirky spot again.

Searching for a truly unique Prague night out? Absintherie is an absolute gem. From the moment you step in, you’re immersed in a cozy, art‑nouveau atmosphere, with dim lighting, vintage decor and walls lined with hundreds of absinthe bottles — it feels like walking into an old‑world alchemist’s den. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and take real pride in guiding you through the world of absinthe: whether it’s a classic absinthe served with the traditional water drip, or a creative absinthe‑cocktail, they make sure you enjoy it properly. What stood out most was the vibe — more relaxed lounge than tourist trap. One evening turned into several hours of fascinating drinks, good conversation and mellow good vibes. If you want a taste of Prague’s darker, more bohemian side, Absintherie is the kind of place you’ll remember long after you leave.

Very nice traditional absinth bar. Sadly not many of this kind exist. They serve absinth both with a fountain and caramellized sugar. Nice atmosphere, live piano music, quite quiet and relaxed compared to the old town. Excellent service and selection of drinks.

Oof where should I start. Started with this bar and ask for good recommendations which were provided. A little bit distant service but maybe it’s my American love for service. Atmosphere is fantastic- nice decor and quite nice and quiet. Don’t no if they have food but won’t there for it.

A must-visit for absinthe lovers and anyone curious to try it. The bar has a huge selection, from classic Czech styles to rare bottles, and the staff guide you through traditional rituals. The cozy, quirky atmosphere makes it feel like an experience rather than just a drink stop. It can get crowded, but the variety—cocktails, absinthe coffee, even ice cream—makes it worth it.

Stumbled upon this bar completely by chance while walking by - the interior and concept caught our attention. It turned out to be the best find in Prague! In the evening we had to wait a little for a table, but it was definitely worth it. The atmosphere is fantastic, the cocktail selection is great too - everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

This is one of the best places in Prague to discover absinthe! The bar has a great atmosphere, but what really makes it special is the staff. They are very friendly and always ready to explain the menu, suggest drinks based on your taste, and answer any questions. They also prepare the absinthe with a little show — we tried the “Bohemian style” drinks, which were made with sugar and flames. The service is excellent – attentive enough to make sure you’re enjoying yourself, but never pushy. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the drinks, the unique presentation, and the overall experience make it absolutely worth it.

This a nice spot to stop for a unique absinthe experience! The staff knows their stuff, so listen to their suggestions. We preffered the original absinthe where we add the water ourselves. I don't recommend adding the sugar cube, thats a last resort.
