The place is good and the food is acceptable and edible. The shawarmas are little bland, no much taste in them and the thomeya isn't very evident. The staff are really kind and available, and the prices are good for the food and the service. The place is bit over stuffed with tables and chairs but good for a quick bite. Complementary lentil soup is good and given for free.

Good old and known restaurant for many years before Syrian food got known in Egypt. The people are great and the service was fast and the food was great. Highly recommended

The beef shawarma was very average, and the grilled chicken was unnaturally dry. One of the staff members, a short guy with a goatee was extremely rude and disrespectful. He would just walk away while I was still talking, tell me “that’s enough, I’ve already come to you five times,” and he wasn’t helpful at all with the menu. His attitude was very pushy and unprofessional. Honestly, if the food hadn’t already been served, I would have left the place. I was also planning to order some takeaway, but after this experience, I decided to get my food from another restaurant instead.

Very delicious tasty food, every dish was specially. Soup, salad, meat Fetta Shawerma, shesh tawook was fresh and awesome 👌🏼 Friendly staff, thank you all so much. Good prices for the quality and service.

I recently visited Abo Ammar Syrian restaurant and ordered their mix shawarma plate. The plate came with a variety of appetizers that I didn't request, but I later found out that this is how the plate is served, which was not clear on the menu. Along with the shawarma, it included rice, hummus, thomiyah, fries, kebbah, and shawarma. Unfortunately, the main highlight of the dish - the shawarma - was not fresh and didn't meet my expectations. It was disappointing to find that the shawarma lacked flavor and freshness. Additionally, I also ordered a salad of watercress with mushroom. However, I found that the mushrooms had nothing to do with this particular plate. It felt like an odd addition that didn't complement the overall dish. On a positive note, I must mention that the prices at Abo Ammar Syrian restaurant are quite reasonable. If you're looking for take away shawarma sandwiches specifically, this restaurant might be a good option for you. In my opinion, I would only consider going back for their take away shawarma sandwiches. Overall, while Abo Ammar Syrian restaurant has its strengths in terms of pricing and take away options for shawarma sandwiches, it fell short in terms of delivering a fresh and flavorful mix shawarma plate experience.

I wasn’t expecting this from a restaurant claim to has a Syrian chef. The food wasn’t up to the recipes we are used to. We ordered a lot of food and salads grilled kofttah and shish tawaq plus shawarma nothing was good. We just eat because we were hungry.

Fries are cold and some are roughy to the extent that they are not even chewable, their garlic sauce size is very small I love their shawerma but this time it is really not up to the standard by any means
