I stayed at Abu as I saw it in The Lonely Planet and it was close to the train station (very much so - it's right over the road!). I agree with other reviewers that their cheapest rooms with separate bathroom are not very appealing and that they should perhaps reduce the price. But for the (current) extra 50,000 the double rooms with private bathroom are very much worth it and Abu is a lovely place to stay. My room was at the back so I went to sleep with the sound of the river down below, and heard none of the noise from the very busy road out front. It's actually a very peaceful place and it was always surprising going out onto the busy street! The outdoor area is a lovely setting with all the greenery, which I understand the owners mother takes care of - she is obviously very green fingered! I ate in the restaurant several times and all the food, including breakfast, was very nice and at reasonable prices. The owner, Selphie, speaks excellent English and is very helpful. She also offered to take me on a tour of the local area which was really interesting - we walked the tiny side streets, crossed the river on a rope pulled boat thing, visited the gong factory and the market...with Selphie offering commentary throughout. |I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting Bogor.|

Doesn't accept credit cards. I paid 300,000 rupiah for a deluxe room. Has large, clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, quiet rooms which are a hair overpriced. Good, cheap cafe on-site--offers unlimited free, ice-cold purified water. No close, convenient internet cafe. Excellent hot-water showers in spacious bathrooms. Right next to the train station (which has an Indomaret and a Dunkin' Donuts). The town of Bogor sucks...but if you are here for a night, this place is ideal. Friendly management...Selfi, the daughter of the owner, speaks perfect English and is usually around...

Extremely love the place. It's really bed and breakfast. Although it's next to central commuter station in Bogor, it's peaceful and quiet. Really strategic place. The owner and her family are nice. We don't mind that there's no hot water or tv cable. We just love that the serving area is next to the river so we can enjoy our breakfast. Been here three times and my 6 yo loves it. We surely will comeback.

This hotel, if correctly priced could be considered ok but the cheapest double room is 150,000rp and it certainly isn't worth that. At most i would pay would be 50,000 for the cheapest room. The facilities are pretty bad with the common bathroom and shower a but dingy and not well looked after. The more expensive rooms out the back are probably worth the money from what i saw but over all the experience here was good. The owner is very friendly and the staff are very helpful. The advice i could give them would be to lower the price of the cheap room substantially because it is very expensive for what it is. In other parts of Indonesia the same room would go for around 50,000rp.||||If you are here just for a short overnight stay then its possible to deal with it. Also notes is that the people are up very early here, around 4am. As the walls are thin you can hear everything and the train station across the road blares the loud speaker until the early hours. In fact the quietest time is actually the day time.||||Breakfast is very good and also the internet isnt too bad. The mosquitoes come out so be prepared for that also.

Selfi is the owner of this place. She welcoms you very warm, but then... You are a little tired and overwhelmed and she keeps on talking about herself and her TOURS. The tours are overpriced, but there is nothing in the neighberhood who's offering cheaper tours.||||The guesthouse is good, but also pricey. We stayed here three nights and the room never cleaned up. When we asked for clean towels, we've had them without a problem. But the overpriced rooms are also without breakfast. You can get breakfast (also pricey) but when you do so, it' a good meal. The restaurant (warung) is very good and the price is also good.||||The garden is nice!

The Fascilities are not clean, the is only a Toilet without flush and without Paper (You have to buy it in the supermarket) and the washbasin looks like it would make your dirty clothes dirtyer while washing. ||Because there was the idul fidri I heard almost evrything of the prayers because is as almost non isolation and when someone else in another room gets an sms oder a call you can hear it all resonably well.||I would not spend another day in there so I went to another city to a better Hotel.||But there are still some things I liked, while I got to the checkout I wanted to buy some water and she refilled mi whole 1.5L Bottle instead. And there is a beautiful garden Inside of the hotel.

The place is close to the train station. That's one of its assets. It’s far too expensive for what it is, and you get nailed with 10% tax on checkout. The advertised breakfast for 35,000 is a joke, so stick to what’s on the regular menu. There was no toilet paper. We were advised to buy some in the supermarket, and given some hand wave reference to a distant place where that illusive store might be. There was no hot water. It’s fairly old and run down. There was A/C in our room, which seemed to spontaneously turn itself off (it wasn’t a self-timer issue). ||||It does have a nice courtyard area to sit and enjoy some food in their attached restaurant. There is free tea and water 24/7 and it is very quiet, despite the bustle outside on the street. It’s clearly a $10 place that has suffered from “guidebook inflation”. The on-site advice for transport options to Bandung and beyond was about 100% inflated from what we found elsewhere.

Abu pension gives you a big room with, twinbed, tv, fan, bathroom with cold shower and Western toilet. Also you have a little terrace. ||||We didn't like the neighbourhood, lots of warung, motorbikes (parking), sellsmen. They're are no restaurants in the earia. So you need to go far away to get something to eat.||||Maybe it was because of the rain, but we didn't like Bogor. Dirty, crowded! ||||We stayed for 1 night 200.000 rp and no breakfast. The next morning we went to Jakarta!
