"Abu Shakra on Muroor Road serves up delicious Egyptian cuisine in the heart of Abu Dhabi. After entering through the bustling, smoky kitchen area, you ascend a staircase that features an illuminated wall of Egypt’s golden-age stars of the cinema. Settle into the newly renovated dining room with its expansive view of the Corniche and be sure to start your meal with a plate of koshari , the national dish of Egypt, which consists of macaroni, rice, and lentils topped with crispy grilled onions and chickpeas. The spicy, juicy lamb chops are also a favorite, alongside other grilled dishes such as kofta , shish tawook, and chicken wings."

You might feel hesitated when you see the restaurant location or the restaurant itself from outside since the location and the outside look are not great. However all your thoughts will change once you taste the food as the taste of the food is more than excellent and it is really valuable comparing to the price. I was feeling strange that many Asian and European people are inside however after the food came and the small amount I paid I understood why many people are visiting this restaurant . I highly recommend this restaurant for Arabic taste lovers.

My wife and I went to check out this place after hearing that it had great lamb chops. We hadn’t seen any recent reviews but we each got the 400gm serving and were super impressed. The lamb chops were juicy and had a great grilled taste with little charred parts that were just excellent. Also, when you sit down they bring some dips and flatbread as a starter which was great. it would have been nice to have a few different options for sides, but oh well, the goal was the lamb and it was both delicious and affordable at only 65AED each. I definitely recommend this place.

Really good lamb chops. Nicely renovate decor. Good food at reasonable prices. Can get a bit smoky inside as the open kitchen is on ground floor, below the seating area. Casual family dining.

The two stars are only for the food which was very well done. However, it is not a place worth visiting, especially in Ramadan for an Iftar buffet. The buffet tables are placed in a very narrow hallway where it leads to the main seating area. We had to bump with people to get to our table. Men touching women and women touching men unintentionally just for the sake of passing - disgusting! All this because they are either so greedy, or ignorant enough that they can put the buffet tables in stead of any two big dining tables. You have to wait for some time for the food to be re-filled, and visitors were so hungry that they finished the food before Al Maghrib. Workers are so unprofessional, untidy and not presentable. The place is dirty and not well maintained. Although the only thing good was the food, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all!

I had a mixed experience, the people were very nice and friendly. The food was a mixed bag. Kebabs and kofta were very good, however, pigeons and Grape leaves were terrible, old, and tasteless. Bathrooms were so old and unclean for my family to use. Oh, and they dont take credit card, had to pay cash!!!
