Clean, comfortable, easy walking distance to the middle of town. The bathtub was especially appreciated! We didn't try the restaurant but did have breakfast one day before heading out - it's about what you expect for a hotel breakfast and it did the job. I would have liked a kettle in the room (cue fussy Brit traveler I guess) but the hotels in Spain don't seem to do that. At least this one did have coffee available in the lobby to take and go! Staff were helpful about answering questions, calling taxis and such.

This is a businessperson’s hotel without the expected amenities. While technically they do have AC, it’s controlled by the front desk and may not be enabled for your visit. The breakfast option is priced like a premium offering when it is the quality of the included continental elsewhere. The hotel isn’t centrally located for either public transport or the city center, so budget in some money for taxis when considering the room rate. The one big positive is the size of the bathtubs in the rooms. The water pressure and temperature are also nice. Still, if I visit Algeciras again, I’ll stay elsewhere.

First and foremost, when it comes to Algeciras, this is as 'good' of a location as it gets. It's an industrial city, with most tourists coming to see Gibraltar. We were no different. This hotel is withing walking distance of the old town, which has a number of local restaurants and very cool ancient Roman ruins that are extremely accessible. But it's the service at the hotel, that prompted me to write this post. From the moment we checked in, the service was 5 stars. We rented an oversized vehicle and a staff member by the name of Moises, walked down the block (as we drove) and took us strait to the hotel's designated parking stalls. When I mentioned that my family and I wanted to see Algeciras (not only Gibraltar), when we returned to the lobby after parking the car, Moises and his colleague had a map ready for me with recommendations on sites and restaurants already circled. The also give my kids chocolates upon check-in and offered us water before I even had a chance to hand them my ID. Overall, I'd go back just for the service.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel overall. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the location was great, making it easy to explore the area. However, I think there’s room for improvement. Windows need more isolation in term of noise, we actual listen to everything happening on the street, Additionally, while the room was nice, the decor felt a bit dated. It was a good experience, but with a few tweaks, it could easily become a great one.

Nice hotel, in a very nice spot, the personnel are quite polite, the breakfast could be better and the restaurant needs some updates.

A great place to stay just off the ferry. Rooms all a bit basic, but comfortable.

Average hotel, nothing great or bad about it and that is the main issue. The hotel is a rated as a 4 stars property but I don't understand why. The breakfast buffet is definitely underwhelming and has room for improvement. I think this property is either a below average 4 stars or a above average 3 stars. It is rated as a 4 stars hotel hence the 3 stars review. I do not think it's great nor bad. I think it's average.

Good hotel near to the port. Must update the kitchen has only bekrafast and dinner, no lunch and the menu is poor

Yelp
I absolutely loved the modern flair of this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A continental breakfast was offered in the room price, and although not very diverse, it was still nice to have a bold cup of coffee and a pastry. The location is the downfall, although central to the port, it doesn't offer much in the way of things near by. Other than that, fantastic.

Yelp
This hotel lies in a newly constructed low-rise where one side is the AC Marriott and the other side is a Hotel Mercure - I found this a bid odd but I guess it works. The rooms have a modern decor but unfortunately modern in this case also means cheap. The beds are somewhat uncomfortable so you basically get what you pay for. This is a lower standard of hotel than a regular Marriott but for a few nights it works well. Breakfast was included and was very good. Dinner was disappointing in every way. I had a steak which was tough and my coworker had a chicken or probably an old hen which was very tough. Since we came for New Years Eve our choices were limited. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Decent, clean, modern hotel. Free wifi in lobby. Cafe/bar/rest. on site. Not really close to much. It's a little bit of a hike to the docks/ferry. If you have luggage and no car, I recommend a taxi.

Yelp
The decor of this hotel was slick. Loved the modern feel. Main complaint I had was the wifi card we got (my husband is a rewards member) was SUPER SLOW. It was enough to make me crazy, and glad I didn't pay for it. But the staff was all very friendly, and the rooms well-appointed.

Yelp
Nice looking hotel since it received a face lift. The decor is modern, and the staff friendly. The rooms are on the small side. The mattress is old and uncomfortable. No vent in the bathroom, making long showers steamy and difficult. Food in the restaurant is good, although the selection is somewhat limited. I would say that given the pros and cons of this hotel, a one night stay is ok..
