Pros: -close walking distance to 2 town centers with restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, and markets. - Close to golf courses - good breakfast (small good quality buffet) and we could order hot breakfast items like croissant sandwiches and avocado toast which was all included. - small convenient store inside to get meds, drinks a few snacks and treats. - small but nice pool and jacuzzi. - pool side bar and restaurant - great staff -nice gym - fairly new facility so everything was in good condition. -Self parking but still have to pay overnight parking fee of $40 per night. Cons: - the king bed in my elderly mom and my room was nice but the bed had dips in it and wasn’t the most comfortable. - it’s not easy access to the beach. You have to walk down at least 15-25 minutes. Overall a good deal for the price per night. I traveled with my family and in laws for vacation during winter break. We had a great day at this hotel. It wasn’t close to beach access, but it was a very easy short walk 15 minutes to the village center in Wailea next to the grand Wailea, where we could easily go to shops and buy small to go item foods at there are two small markets there the rooms are good size.

Clean and spacious room. The front desk service was better than Westin and Sheraton resort. I did check-in right after my snorkelling but was notified that the room was not ready yet. It didn’t matter since I planned to soak in the jacuzzi first. The staff waived my parking fee and upgraded me to a better view room to compensate my waiting. She considerably provided everything I need to soak in the jacuzzi, slippers and towels. When I found I have a cut on my finger, she provided me first aid band! Compared to Westin Maui, Westin didn’t even have toothpaste in stock. I also had a good time in the Maui Ocean Center at the end of my trip. The tickets were included in the resort fee. I saw some marine animals and fish that I missed out in my snorkelling trips.

This hotel is even better than the photos! The views are gorgeous. More affordable than most Wailea hotels & so much quieter than the larger resorts. I was concerned about the room temperature at check-in as it was too warm but as low as it could go & they immediately sent maintenance to override the thermostat so I could turn it lower. Service was incredible—great local recommendations for food. The pool bar had the best food and drinks. The only negative was the tiny pool towels. It’s a new inside joke between my husband and I when we see a new washcloth or hand towel to call them pool towels. Overall the best experience possible and will be staying here again on my next trip to Maui. Thank you to AC hotel Wailea for making our stay so memorable!

This place is nice and clean with great staff, but it has one fatal flaw: the room’s bathroom “door” is a barn door with frosted glass! Are you kidding me?! Who thought that was a good idea?! So not only can you hear everything going on in there, if you get up in the middle of the night to pee and turn on the bathroom light, you illuminate the entire room. Bring a nightlight folks. My other complaint about this place is specific to my room. The first two nights, at 2am the TV turned itself on and set itself to HDMI1 which is a completely white screen which instantly woke me up! I’m extremely light sensitive when I’m sleeping. The weird thing was that it only turned itself on for a few seconds, long enough to wake me up but short enough to make me think I was hallucinating which is why I let it happen a second night. After the second time, I unplugged the TV. Oh that reminds me that the stupid smoke alarm thing on the ceiling kept flashing really bright in the middle of the night. Don’t forget your sleep masks folks like I did!

We had a wonderful stay at the AC Hotel by Marriott Maui Wailea. The cleanliness throughout the property was excellent, and the rooms felt modern and fresh. The location is perfect — close to everything yet quiet and relaxing. The service was outstanding, with friendly and helpful staff always ready to assist. The amenities were great, especially the pool and common areas, which were well maintained. Note that the pool closes at 9:00 PM and the bar at 10:00 PM, so it’s best to plan your evening accordingly. Overall, it was an excellent experience — we would definitely come back again. Highly recommended for families and couples.

Stayed here early last year and it was great so we came back. Just checked out today 1/5/26 after 3 nights. This place has taken an absolute spiral for the worst. We are Platinum Elite and booked 2 rooms for 3 nights that cost us 432K Marriott points. We had an additional amount of room charges in excess of $1K. I brought these concerns to the Assistant GM upon departure, Chi* she completely agreed with me about the issues and said there was no excuse for them. I did not request compensation of a specific type as she asked for my room and name so I knew something would be done. Once at the airport I reviewed our bill for each room and saw that no compensation was done for the room charges or the points used for paying for the rooms. I called the hotel back and spoke with the Assistant GM again and expressed concern to which she replied she added 50K Marriott points to our account. This is basically a slap on the face. Allow me to describe the issues that were brought to her attention. 1- Room only received housekeeping services 1 of the 3 nights. 2- The “heated” pool was broken as it was essentially a cold plunge. No guests were in it the entire time 3- The hot tub was disgustingly dirty. When you turn the jets on there is brown foam floating everywhere because the tile at the top of the water is brown/black 4- the pool towel bin was always overflowing 5- the trash can next to the hot tub was so overfull that people were putting their garbage on top of it and on the ground. One drink was sitting there the day we arrived and was still there when we departed. 6- there was garbage in the plants that surround the entire pool 7- the lounge chairs that sit in the shallow end of the water and brown on top from dirt and everything else; the bottoms are white. 8- in the bottom of the pool in the corner was broken glass near the hot tub 9- there are lounge “couches” at the pool. On the sides of the cushions was trash; used napkins, plastic utensils and wrappers. The common areas were absolutely disgusting. When I expressed my frustration at the paltry 50K Marriott points she offered me, she then offered a $100 credit on our account INSTEAD of the points. Please keep in mind that these rooms are $1K a night and I had 2 rooms, each for 3 nights. $100?! Really?! Beyond disrespectful and completely unaware of how a hotel should be run and take care of your guests, especially your loyal ones. At this point I’m equally if not more concerned with the hotel response to me than the issues I brought to their attention. I requested a call back from the GM. The complaint has been made to Marriott via the BonVoy app. I will not stop until ADEQUATE compensation has been given.

Stayed here for my honeymoon and absolutely loved the environment! Live music twice a week, restaurants in the hotel, gym, and a beautiful pool. I would say my main complaint is parking was NOT included with our stay. I did expect the front desk to be slightly more friendly although the waiters and Bartenders were awesome! I would stay again.

Google
My stay here was better than my stay at Grand Wailea. It felt more comfortable than the large manufactured resorts that are overcrowded. I'm going to list all the pros and cons. Pros: -Allowed for early check-in -I was given a great upgrade -the property is new and trendy compared to a lot of other hotels that have been around for 20+ years with no upkeep. They have lively music being played throughout the property. It never felt crowded. -All the staff were friendly. The front desk lady even remembered my name and room number each time I saw her. Other reviews stated the service was terrible, but I never witnessed that. -They said they would only do room service every other day, but they provided daily service. -The room was more clean than my average Marriott stay. -The pool area had a great view, being up on the hilltop. -The staff kept my kindle protected at the front desk when I decided to lose it one night at the pool. -The food you can order from room service and the pool was amazing. All the ingredients were fresh and healthy. -Walkable to the mall and beach. -I'm not a fan of the daily resort amenity fee, but it was useful because it comes with 2 tickets to the Maui Aquarium. Cons: -You can hear every step your neighbors make above you since the rooms are hardwood and very thin compared to most buildings. Try and get a top floor room if you are a light sleeper. -The daybeds that they want you to rent take up a lot of the ideal lounge space around the pool, even though I didn't see a single person rent them during my stay. They are a waste of space. -Stingy with the in room coffee restock. -They need screens on the patio doors so you can enjoy the ocean breeze without the litter critters making their way into the room. -The AC cannot be set lower than 68 degrees, and the room never even achieved that temperature when set to it. -buffet left something to be desired. You can skip it. -The storage in the rooms are awkward, but that is a part of how all AC hotels are designed.

Yelp
I stayed at the AC Marriott in Wailea and was pleasantly surprised by how charming this boutique-style hotel is. It has a super cute, modern vibe and is definitely more adult-friendly, with not many kids around which made it feel extra relaxing. One of my favorite parts was the cozy little bar right next to the infinity pool that overlooks part of West Maui--such a perfect spot to unwind with a drink (happy hour menu not bad). The room itself was very modern-chic, and I loved the little touch of the TV greeting you when you walk in, made me laugh lol. The only downside was the "garden view" setup: The patio had seats outside, but it was literally right next to a road and a transformer hidden behind a bunch of plants, so it felt a little odd and not as private or tranquil as you'd expect from something labeled "garden." But I digress.... Service, though, was excellent across the board. The front desk was friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast--small, made to order, and quaint--was enjoyable. They also offer kamaʻāina rates, which is always a nice perk. Overall, a stylish, quiet place to stay in Wailea with great service and beautiful grounds. Would definitely come back, though maybe not for a garden room next time. Otherwise, I really like this little hotel and was happy with my stay.

Yelp
This hotel totally met the brief. It's in a walkable area with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and just a few minutes' drive from downtown. The pool and hot tub were perfect for lounging and never felt crowded. The rooms are updated and modern but still have that unmistakable Hawaii feel. I'd stay here again without question.

Yelp
I learned something new while staying here, AC Hotel by Marriott Maui Wailea, the hubby mentioned AC stands for "Antonio Catalan", the founder of the company originated in Spain. (I am shocked he knew this. hehe) First thing, I would like to Thank my wonderful Love for gifting me his Christmas bonus, which I used the funds to book this staycation & Maui trip. I had the most truly amazing, relaxing time together ever! First time staying at Marriott AC brand hotel & it was such a great experience & super yay for Titanium status! We checked in as soon as possible, took advantage of late check out & never left the premises. Strange I didn't even notice AC hotel when I stayed at Residence Inn,( nearby) We did take the wrong turn following GPS, but we made it. Parking is $35. per night, checking in was great, met and talked to Tisha, she is so awesome, btw, so friendly! We got our check in info. then headed straight to our room. Although no ocean view, we were on the street side of hotel, enjoyed the garden view and I just loved the cozy feel. The rooms are elegant and modern, love the see thru tiny fridge with glow lights and the cute closet space to hang up our bathing suits to dry after our swim. Note., There are 2 complimentary bottles of water in fridge and water fill station is near the elevators. Also no microwave in room but one is available at the marketplace next to check in lobby. AC hotel is a smaller hotel, which is perfect -you can tell when staying here and see/fell the size of hotel. I really enjoyed it, I could see the difference between a bigger hotel vs. smaller one. It's Pool and Jacuzzi time!! The AC hotel comes with an infinity pool, like Deja-vu, witnessing the pool on social media sparked an excitement within me and now I am finally living my dream. Every single moment spent by the pool and jacuzzi is truly trilling and uplifting, a dream come true! Although we were only here for the weekend, just one night, we enjoyed our stay, so relaxing, my therapy for the very long work week. but of course when the opportunity arises, I hope to and can't wait to stay here again. "Count my blessings. Grateful always"

Yelp
When it comes to hotels, AC Hotels, the brand maintains an incredible amount of consistency across the globe, to the point that it's both comfortable and boring to stay one of the AC properties. While nice and generally new, the hotels are incredibly cookie cutter. After staying at over a dozen of these properties, there is some great news for visitors to Maui. This property has a unique design relevant to the destination both architecturally and on the interior. There are some light benefits such as a meals/drink credit daily for guests with Platinum status and higher, which is an excellent touch as the Marriott brand does not include a breakfast into AC hotel perks. The hotel also provided a solid room upgrade to an ocean view room with good visibility into the mountains also. Thus, for Elite guests, this is actually a solid property at a 3 star level. On the other hand, it would be nice to get free parking included, which is very expensive at this property. The pool is an excellent escape from the heat and fully blocked off from the parking lot by the greenery. Some photos taken at hotel's inception make the pool appear as if it's overlooking the parking lot, which is no longer the case. The pool is not crowded and generally did not have children, so screaming kids were not a concern. All the folks from the bar to the front desk were kind and professional, providing a great level of service at the star level. While there is no such thing as cheap in Maui, AC hotel provides a good value relative to other accommodations in the island and is walking distance to many restaurants and shops nearby. As a whole, a very impressive AC hotels property.

Yelp
The AC Hotel is one of the newer hotels in Wailea by Marriott. It's a smaller, boutique type hotel with around 50ish rooms. It doesn't have that big resort feel, but is nice and cozy with a more personalized atmosphere. It's great if you want to avoid the crowds! Upon walking in, you're greeted with a beautiful, airy lobby area. I loved the design and decor with the glass doors opening up to the bar and pool which also had lovely seating surrounding the firepit. This would be great for winding down in the evening and maybe even some smores with the kiddos :) The rooms are nice, modern, and still had that brand new feel. I'm honestly not a fan of non-carpeted floors though, but at least they had a little area rug by the couch. Haha. The rooms had a fridge and a small closet/drawer space to keep your clothes organized. The bed was comfy and the couch pulled out into a bed as well. We had a great time at the pool and hot tub. It's small, but sufficient and people were able to space out without being too crowded. The ocean views from the pool were very nice, especially at sunset. We grabbed a few drinks from the bar at happy hour and the following morning which was nice and just a stones throw away from the pool. We also had breakfast here and the only option is their breakfast buffet. Unfortunately they didn't have an ala carte menu which would be nice if they did offer. It was a straight $30 or $35 for each person, including kids. We definitely didn't get our $$ worth, but paid for convenience of not having to leave the hotel. Overall, it did the job. The menu was small and didn't have as robust an offering as even the Residence Inn Marriott just next door that offers guests a free breakfast buffet with stay. We also ran into not being able to find parking after leaving for dinner despite the hotel not being at 100%. We brought it up to the staff and were told to park in a disabled parking spot. Overall though, I enjoyed our stay here. It's cozy and you don't have to walk very far to get to the lobby, pool, etc which was so convenient! They also have a gym, laundry room, and a small sundries store that has a selection of essential items like snacks, drinks, and sun screen.

Yelp
We had a great stay last time we were here so we decided to book a couples nights here again. The staff was still very friendly during check in/out. The room itself was about the same, pretty standard. A little dusty/dirty again but it did its job. Walking distance to The Shops at Wailea, the Island Gourmet Market, and multiple restaurants/shops. Parking was plentiful for the whole hotel, but proximity to the entrance depends on the time of day. Great value for the location and not a bad choice for a few nights stay. Very nice pool with a great view though!

Yelp
We tried a small entre at the AC Marriott, all day poolside bar. We ordered stir fried teriyaki bowl with tofu, and vegetables. It was delicious! We will go back tomorrow! They have an impossible burger with a side salad. We can try that tomorrow!

Yelp
Maui's Southside Gem Our family of four, with two teen girls, recently stayed at the AC Hotel Wailea a couple of weeks ago for our annual spring holiday. As usual, the friendly staff and its superb South Maui location are why we stay in this boutique Marriott property time and time again. The staff is warm, friendly, helpful, and full of aloha. Say hello to Jenver at the front desk when he welcomes you in. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was extra special, upgrading us to a room with a pool view and cabana rental. This hotel is not too big and not too small. It's just the right size where you can enjoy the relaxing feel of Maui. There is a $35 parking charge on the property per day. You might say it's a bit steep, but think of it as the equivalent of the resort fee that most hotels in the area charge. If you don't like crowds and overcrowded beaches, you should consider staying here. Beaches like Polo, Keawakapu, and Ulua are minutes away even on foot! Plus, The Shops at Wailea is a quick stroll down the hill, and coffee shops, shopping, and dining options are within walking distance. Pro tip: Island Gourmet Market offers fresh island fare, which is perfect to start your day. Jenver upgraded our family to room 222 on the first floor, facing the swimming pool. The room was spacious for a family of four, clean, and smelled fresh when we entered--a perfect place to unwind after a long travel day across the Pacific. The pool, lounges, and cabanas are steps away from the lanai--quite a bonus. Pro Tip: Jenver also reserved our family a cabana, and we picked cabana #1, closest to the bar. For us, it was the perfect location. It's planted away from the hot tub and the larger section of the pool, offering privacy and quiet time. If you're still at the cabana right around sunset, be on the lookout for a breathtaking view of West Maui and Wailea Beach as you look off the distance beyond the infinity pool. If you're looking for lodging options in Maui, we highly recommend the AC Hotel, whether you're traveling as a family or as a couple. From experience, aloha is the language they speak.

Yelp
Such a wonderful hotel to do a simple staycation. Very near to a lot of wonderful restaurants and the service was great.

Yelp
Very nice, clean properly conveniently located a block up the hill (not too steep!) from The Shops at Wailea. Walk to Ulua Beach, shops, restaurants, coffee, and more. If your agenda is laid back, there is also a bus stop half a block away that can take you to Kihei in a snap. It can also get you to the airport in about an hour for $2. The staff was super friendly, the pool and bar are nice, the breakfast is pretty good and we enjoyed views of the ocean from our balcony. The noise can be an issue if the people adjacent to your room are a bit raucous, as was a small issue for us. But overall, really enjoyed staying here.

Yelp
I truly loved this property ! It's cute and quaint, they offer buffet breakfast (at additional change) the views are beautiful the service is phenomenal and the location is great. It's a short walk to the promenade and grocery store. You'll see some cute restaurants along the way. All the rooms have balconies which I loved and the restaurant on site didn't disappoint but it is pricey!

Yelp
I stayed here in October, and absolutely loved my stay. To be completely transparent, my mother earned three free night certificates with her Marriott rewards credit card promotion and we used them to stay here during a time when the points were 50000 or less each day. I was concerned initially because everyone was saying the Residence Inn Marriott was a better value and it came with breakfast. The AC hotel had a lot of criticism online, so I was skeptical. We definitely made the right choice by staying here though. With my mother's Marriott status we were upgraded to a pool balcony room. It was so peaceful overlooking the pool and seeing the ocean in the distance. The pool and hot tub were truly a nice place to relax. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We did have breakfast one of the days at the hotel and it was amazing. It looks like a somewhat bare buffet, but you can custom order extra entrees that come with the price too. We ordered avocado toast, a frittata, fruit waffles, and even tried out their specialty cappuccino machine. We asked permission to sit outside in the bar area because the other outside area was being directly hit with the sun and we burn easily (the bar area is generally closed in the mornings, but they let us sit outside, which was a treat.) the only downfall was that the birds wanted to be invited too. We liked seeing all the birds though, and they didn't bother us too much. The buffet seemed expensive, but after we figured out everything we ate and drank, it came out to be an incredible value. The pool was extremely relaxing too. We went up to the residence inn and they are more of a family hotel. It's tucked away with less of a view and more of a family vibe. The AC was more classy and you could see the ocean from the pool. Happy hour is also offered in the evenings by the pool and with live music on Wednesday nights. We even made lavender sachets that night in the lobby as a complimentary offering. This hotel is pretty epic. I've been dreaming about it. I Definitely would recommend it - especially for the privacy and quietness. Unlike larger resort hotels, this one always felt so much more secluded due to the smaller size. We always felt like a special handful of people whereas if you go to the waterfront resorts they tend to be quite crowded and crazy midday. Now for the cons: I love this hotel, but because it's in Wailea the price is very expensive $700-900 a night. It's almost as expensive as the Marriott down by the beach. The beach and amenities directly at the Marriott waterfront or Andaz probably are a better value money wise. We also wished our hotel would have had robes and nicer coffee machines. Just extra touches like that would have made the place more valued. The coffee machines were super cheap and no robes in the room. It would have been nice to have a robe to bring to the pool. Overall, this is a hotel you just come to relax at. Stay on island time- don't venture far. Soak in the hot tub. Swim in the pool. Spurge at least once for breakfast here. Three perfect days of bliss definitely will renew your soul. I doubt I'll ever be lucky enough to stay here again though.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my recent stay here. This isn't my first time. The staff are wonderful, the food is delicious and the gym was great too. During the day when people are out and about the gym is really quiet. The mattress was a little lumpy and I think it's reached the end of it's road. Also, my bathroom floor had lots of long hair on it and since I am bald - it definitely wasn't me. The shower didn't drain very well. These are minor issues and I still think this hotel is wonderful and the staff takes care of us very well. They are within a 5-10 minute walk from a high-end shopping center. Gucci, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and many other great stores. The food options are pretty boring in the area and cater to tourists. Very little is authentic or inventive. Prices are generally ridiculous, but these are the times and most things are imported to the islands, so expect to pay. My favorite thing to do is do my shopping at the Island Gourmet Supermarket. Amazing options and the prices are a bit better. You are also very close to the beach.

Yelp
We loved this hotel!!! It's beautiful and we enjoyed our room and the lobby and the infinity pool area was so gorgeous. The food was delicious. We didn't want to leave, and will definitely recommend it to others. The front desk person named E was especially sweet and kind and made us feel so welcome. I miss this hotel, and definitely want to go back again. Lovely experience! Arianna Nelson

Yelp
Such an amazing experience! This is a newer hotel so the rooms are very clean, the staff is very kind and helpful. The views are stunning and the pool is small and relaxed not crazy with young children, more of an adult scene so very calming. Parking is easy if you're renting a car, the location is in close proximity to restaurants, shopping centers and the beach. 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
Just OK, Mostly friendly service, clean, very good workout room. But the room was too minimumanlst, for example, two queen beds and there were only two chairs, one uncomfortable desk chair and one uncomfortable lounge chair. We had room 223 on the ground floor which had no balcony and the view was a mostly dead Hibiscus and some other unattractive bushes in the background. This location also had a lot of traffic noise. The rooms do not have carpeting, just vinyl flooring and the noise from upstairs was so bad that we called the front desk to see if there was construction going on up there. All of these things combined made me feel like I was in a overpriced Motel 6. They charge for everything, for exmple $35 for parking and $30 for a buffet breakfast that would be complimentary at a decent motel. If I had to stay in this room for more than the two nights that we stayed there...I wouldn't.

Yelp
When choosing a hotel in Maui, it seems like it comes down to staying in Wailea or Lahani. Wailea to me had less tourist, nicer beaches, and less traffic. If you stay in Lahani, you are stuck in a resort area + the chance of going through 1 way road traffic daily. If you're looking to stay directly on the beach, the AC Hotel isn't an option for you. This hotel would be a less than 5 minute drive or 14-17 minute walk to the beach. I'm ok with that, because if I chose a hotel on the beach, I would be paying an additional $125 - $250 per night depending on the hotel. So that in itself justified staying at AC Hotel. Some of the pluses are how quiet the hotel is, blackout curtains in your room, and a washer and dryer on site to use. The washer and dryers accepts payment via cash or card. Just an FYI, it's $3 per 60 minute cycle to either wash or dry your clothes.

Yelp
Insane location. Service was great. We had a balcony that looked right at the ocean. Infinity edge pool and a bar with fantastic selections. Highly recommended because you can walk to shops, golf, restaurants and the beach.

Yelp
Bar and pool conveniently located on the makai (water) side of the hotel reception area. This is a nice low-key restaurant and bar to go to for a quick bite without needing reservations. Staff super attentive and full of aloha. Hanna served us and sweetly asked chef to exclude foods we couldn't eat. The sunsets there are perfect and the drinks will quench your thirst! We ordered sliders and a side salad. Menu is a bit limited but for small meals it's perfect. Worth checking out!

Darth J.

Yelp
It was a superb stay. Very clean rooms, beautiful ambiance and great proximity to shopping and the beach for only half the price of the oceanfront resorts. It's a great place to stay in wialea for a more affordable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a south Maui stay.

Yelp
Stayed here for five nights for work ironically during the week in October when they had a slow reopening of the hotels located north of Lahaina. Fortunately, we were able to secure a discounted rate which was also comparable to the Marriott Courtyard in Kahului. This AC has been open for less than 2 years and is close by driving or walking distance to the Wailea Shopping Center which has some great restaurants such as the nicer more expensive Lineage or casual The Pint and Cork. They have a nice infinity pool at this property as well as a casual pool bar. Definitely a winner in my book and would recommend staying here as an alternative to a luxury or full service hotel. Drive time to Kahului is 30 minutes and a little over an hour if you are going to Kaanapali.

Yelp
Such a beautiful place, everything was so neat and clean. Breakfast at the AC Kitchen is all you can eat for $22 a person. You could find a blend of international and Hawaiian dishes. Delish! Sadly I left my phone in the room, I meant to take a short video and some photos to share, but that didn't happen. The ambiance outside by the pool after a long day was amazing. I lounged, drank some cocktails from the bar and just relaxed while my daughter enjoyed the infinity pool and jacuzzi. Watching the sunset hit different here. So peaceful. Although our stay was short our experience here was awesome. The only reason I gave it a four star is because our room was on the second floor (ground), upstairs through out the day, there was thumping, running, and loud noises coming from the room above. It was so disturbing, I had to call the front desk 2x to make a complaint. I'm usually very patient, but it was unbearable. It would stop for a few, and then start again. Maybe ask for a higher floor, or, maybe you'll be lucky not to experience the noise. All in all, our experience was great! The staff too!!

Yelp
The hotel is new and modern. The property is not big with a spectacular view. We don't really care for big properties that we normally don't have time to explore when vacationing. It is right across The Shops, a high end shopping area with restaurants and ice from shops. Service is good. Place is always neat and clean. There are water refill stations in every floor. Love the location.

Yelp
Such a beautiful hotel. The pool, the rooms, the location and the food. Highly recommend. Very nice location too. Just a 15-20 min walk to the beach. 10-15 min walk to all the shops and the Island Gourmet

Yelp
This is almost like boutique hotel by Mariott. If you are trying to avoid the crowds in the big resorts, this is your spot. Rooms are modern and clean, staff members are very helpful. There's a smaller size pool with way less people around. If you're looking for a little quiet time in a nice hotel, this is your spot. Just wish it was a little closer to the water

Yelp
The Wailea resort area is mostly high-priced hotels in a rather new development area. This hotel had the best price I could find south of the airport. It's very clean and has a nice layout. I had accessible room 222. It opens at the back directly to the patio and pool area. It has 2 queen beds and a roll-in shower. Access to the room is difficult because there is a fire door between the lobby and the hall where the rooms are. Access from the lobby to the pool area is also difficult because some days they prop the doors open on some days, but not all days. The pool is beautiful. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate me. It's a quiet hotel. Down the hill is a shopping center with an ABC store and another giant convenience store where we bought hot food for take out. Bus 10 stops kitty corner to the hotel. If you arrive at the airport in a wheelchair, you can get a paratransit ride from airport to AC Hotel for $2. I recommend Wolfgang Puck restaurant at the shopping center for the lunch specials. If you want to change your looks, there's a plastic surgery office kitty corner from the hotel.

Yelp
My hubby and I decided to do a mini-moon in Maui after our wedding. We literally booked our tickets the day after our wedding and quickly decided to book our stay at the AC Hotel based off the reviews, photos and the Kamaaina rate they offered (pretty much half off which is a steal for Maui). Things I loved about the AC Hotel: - welcoming staff, greeted us with a shell lei - modern, new and super luxe - rooms were pretty spacious and loved the huge bathroom with the brightly lit mirrors - water and ice machine available on each floor - fitness center had a good amount of equipment, clean and towels available - the hotel itself was fairly clean, I saw the staff wiping down the chairs and table - infinity pool and the jacuzzi was my fav and it over looks the ocean!! perfect view! - KAI bar located by the pool and live music on certain evenings - breakfast buffet for $25 which includes ordering hot items from the kitchen - parking available for $30/day - shopping mall/stores close by Overall, I had nothing but good things to say about this hotel! Although they said the hotel was almost at maxed capacity, it honestly didn't feel busy at all. We felt relaxed and really enjoyed our stay in Maui!

Yelp
Love this new, trendy hotel in Wailea. They did an amazing job designing it. Every room has a balcony. Most have some sort of view of the ocean if you stand outside. The pool and hot tub are beautifully done. There is service at the pool, even though they claim to be understaffed- we felt they did a great job. Drinks were good. Food is okay. Nothing exciting. But convenient. They have hydration stations to refill your water bottles. Coffee and glasses in the room with 2 water bottles. Market downstairs if you need a little snack. Walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. 15-20 min walk to the beach. $30 to park here.

Yelp
People don't trust these poorly rated reviews This place is like a fantastic property! It's fairly new only 6 months old it's brand new' Conveniently located just minutes away from the shops and the beach I really really really like this hotel and it's staff very friendly people and beautiful views all around from this place. It's such a relaxing setting, when it's time to go you nearly cry cuz it sucks to have to leave such a nice hotel. But I leave always knowing I will return Out of all the positive things I've said about this place there's one thing I did not like, and I made sure to let the front desk know and hopefully they'll fix it. I'm an early riser and I do like my breakfast but they don't open until 7am which I think it's not okay. I like to wake up around 5am and enjoy a nice hearty and warm breakfast but then I have to wait 2 hours for them to open or have to go venture myself out to get something that early. With that said it's still a great place to stay, but I really hope they will fix the hours and have breakfast service at least at 6am. All in all a great stay! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Had to fly over for a funeral so decided to do a mini staycay. Hotel is couple years old now but still looks pretty good. It's a mid-level hotel, so don't expect frills...or lotion in the room. But the workers were all super nice and helpful. Parking super easy. Breakfast buffet was good b/c half of it was made to order and not just sitting out there getting breathed on by randoms. Pretty tasty stuff too. Pool is small, but big enough. Lot of chairs but people don't clean up after themselves so we didn't know if chairs were available...found out most of them actually were. Chairs in the pool were nice and comfy tho. Water cold...for Hawaii standards, but just have a few drinks and not too bad. Rooms simple, but enough space for a couch. Showers are huge. Overall a nice and relaxing experience.

Yelp
Do not stay here!!! Wow it's 11pm and we are on the 1st floor and there is door slamming shut and kids playing (running up and down bff hall), yelling, crying for over an hour and the hotel will not do a damn thing. Again do yourself a favor and run away. This might be the WORST hotel ever! F this

Yelp
The hotel rooms are nice and spacious. I love the view from the pool. The hot tub there is also nice. They have a restaurant by the pool, which has amazing food. The staff are nice. Something to consider it that it's a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, and it is a 5-10 minute walk to the shops. Other than that, this is a nice hotel.

Yelp
Small yet cozy and comfortable nestled on a hill with a magnificent view of the ocean and other islands. Super trendy, boho, modern, quiet, clean, friendly staff. This property is best for couples. It's fairly quiet and most guests were couples so not a lot of small children. The absolute best part of our stay was the breakfast!!!! Small portions but made with quality ingredients and everyday was consistent. Do not skip this! And try and reserve room 344... THE BEST ROOM HANDS DOWN! Literally top, front, and center. 180 views of the ocean, islands, mountains, and the Wailea manicured landscape. Just don't look down it's the parking lot :) 5 or less min walk to Akamai coffee and wailea shops. Wailea beach 3 min drive. Beware when walking of either locals and/or California drivers that fly down that road. Only thing I found that the hotel rooms needed were more hooks in bathroom to hang towels or toilette bags and more drawer space for clothing. There's literally no space so pack light! Thank you to the male front desk staff! Kitchen staff, and to Jed!

Yelp
I absolutely loved this new hotel in Maui! My sister and I stayed here for a couple of nights in Maui and loved how clean and modern this hotel was. We had a great experience here and look forward to returning! The room we got was spacious, modern, and clean. It also came with a balcony which was nice. Our room also had a little sofa, smart TV, and a mini fridge. My only comment is that if you get a room facing the garden, you will be able to hear cars driving by during the day/at night. The rooms are also pretty close to each other so I was able to hear the doors close to our room closing at night. The lobby is beautiful! Very nicely decorated with a beautiful view of the ocean. The infinity pool overlooks the ocean. They also have a jacuzzi! The restaurant/bar outside offers different types of drinks and food. I ate here on my first night and loved the teriyaki bowl. One thing to note is that there are lots of bugs around the pool area. Self parking is $30 a night and they offer a breakfast for $22 a person which includes a variety of different breakfast foods. They also have a little store next to the lobby with snacks, drinks, tanning oil/aloe vera, and anything you have may forgot to pack. The location of the hotel was perfect. It's about a 10-15 min walk to the beach. It's also a 2 minute drive to the mall. It was also about a 10 min drive to the known beaches such as Mekena Beach, Big Beach, and Little Beach. They also have beach equipment rentals next door at the Residence Inn where we were able to rent an umbrella, beach chairs, and snorkeling gear The staff at this hotel was all really friendly and welcoming. They made our experience amazing. I highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
Very comfortable, clean and beautifully designed hotel. Perfectly placed bar away from guest rooms, overlooking infinity pool and sunset. Strategic. However... When you lay your head down to revel in dat blissful sleep you've been banking on.... You must first endure if you are solo / enjoy if you are freaky / or take offense if you just can't deal with your neighbors above or next door getting their freak on. Otherwise, a very nice hotel.

Yelp
Still have not ever had any resolve with our stay during the fires I hope the Marriott corporation feels good about taking advantage of people during time of crisis and chaos

Yelp
We had a great experience at AC Hotel. The staff was super welcoming and accommodating. Jonell at the front desk gave us awesome recommendations for around the area and made our stay feel even more special! Would stay here again.

Yelp
After a great week in Maui at the Fairmont Kea Lani are flight was cancelled back to San Diego and we were "stuck" in paradise for two more days until we could get a direct non stop flight back home. Yeah, not complaining, but had to find another hotel for the next two nights. This one was available and in the same area of Wailea and close to the beaches. Hotel is nice in the common areas and the rooms are admirable. The views and pool are nice and much quieter than the bigger resorts. However, it seems like the don't clean those areas as there was a lot of trash spread out through the pool area and even someone's gross bandage from a scrape or sore just laying on the table. Price point is way too high for it to be so dirty. In fairness I guess they have no one monitoring the pool area due to short staffing. But still...if you are going to charge people 800 or 900 a night please clean the common areas.

Yelp
I think my rating of this property depends on what you pay for it. We used points, so we were able to focus on the upsides and overlook the negatives and for that I'd give it a 4. However, if I'd paid the almost $700/night average during August/September '21, I feel like I'd lean more towards a 3. ROOM: On the smaller side for an upgraded Junior Suite, though still a reasonable amount of space for a couple. Well-decorated, modern, and had a small balcony which overlooked the pool and ocean. Walls seem a little thin since we could sometimes hear stuff, though no major noise complaints. Includes a Smart TV with HDMI hookup. COMMON SPACES: It's brand new, and it shows (in a good way). The design of this hotel is really clean, sleek, and contemporary. The lobby is gorgeous and inviting, and the outdoor area is a dream. There's an infinity pool (unfortunately next to the parking lot, but you can see the ocean as well), cabanas ($300/day), lounge chairs with umbrellas, fire pit, and a bar area with multiple tables and a few booths. I think this is where the hotel shines. SERVICE: Great. Check-in was very fast. Offered a free upgrade due to status, which was appreciated. Noticed a dirty comforter and they came up with a replacement within 10 minutes. Servers near the pool would come over frequently to check in and see if we wanted to order additional food/beverages or close the tab. Accommodated late check-out. AMENITIES: There's parking at $30/night. There's a continental breakfast at somewhere around $20/person (didn't try this since there's a great coffee shop / breakfast spot within walking distance). I did see a small fitness center, and there's a pool (food and drinks are reasonably priced, average in terms of quality). LOCATION: On the west side of the island, near the other major resorts in Wailea (near Marriott Wailea Beach Resort, Andaz, Four Seasons). Since it's on the smaller side compared to these other properties, it has more of a relaxed, low-key feel. You can walk from here to the beach (~10 minutes). Three small shopping/restaurant centers also within walking distance (~5-10 minutes). Safe area. Not beachfront, but does have views of the ocean. About ~1 hour from the Lahaina/Kapalua area. PRICING: Not sure why this is priced so high, especially when the beachfront Marriott down the street is only slightly higher with more expansive grounds. I don't know that you're getting your money's worth if they stick with the $650-$700/night range, though will be curious to see how this changes in the future. Think $400-500/night range is more appropriate.

Yelp
We stayed here for 7 nights in June 2021. TLDR: Amazing stay, great staff, gorgeous view, and peaceful vibe. Stay here ASAP before everyone else finds this gem. The hotel: Completed construction in May 2021 and shows no signs of any spots missed. You walk into the glass enclosed lobby to plenty of air and light. You are immediately attracted to the pool and hot tub area that is spacious and has firepits, cabanas, lounging chairs and umbrellas. The hot tub is perfect and is on a 15 minute timer. The pool goes up to 5 feet and has more shallow areas. The rooms are just beds and couches. They provide a refrigerator, iron, and safe. There are no microwaves or freezers. The beds are comfortable. Make sure to get a room with an ocean view or else you'll stare at a golf course. Internet is strong for Zoom calls for WFHotel. Parking is $30 per day. COVID: They request to see your SafeTravels pass and take a temperature check. They encourage masks, and all workers are wearing masks, but they don't enforce you not wearing it. There are sanitizer everywhere. Bar/Food: Great bartenders and a really great, social vibe. There are areas for you to chat with others. I recommend staying away from the breakfast. It is $22 per person and buffet style, but options are limited. Marriott Bonvoy: This hotel gives $10 food and drink credit PER NIGHT for Platinum members + 1 guest ($20 per night). They're most expensive food item at the hotel are Tacos/Ribs/Sliders for $21.

Yelp
I'm extremely satisfied with this hotel. Very contemporary. Gorgeous. Staff at check in super sweet and welcoming. Super beautiful place. The view is outstanding. Very comfortable, non-crowded feeling. The bar is super - so love Mark, Denice, CiCi. I loo forward to coming back and so recommend.

Yelp
Pros -new hotel -really friendly staff -quick walk to shops and beaches Cons -walls are really thin and you can hear footsteps so easily which disrupts sleep -breakfast is $25 and includes the buffet but the food gets old quick -the pool area is situated in a way that it always feels crowded and without privacy -uncomfortable bed and pillows

Yelp
The Hotel was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. AC Hotel's infinity pool was my favorite part. Every morning of my stay at AC Hotel i would go to the pool before leaving to explore Maui. In addition to the pool there is also a huge hot tube which I use after a good swim in the pool
google avatar

Lisa X.

Yelp
AC Hotel is super clean and stylish. You know it's stylish when there's an infinity pool! There's a small gym with treadmills, a peloton (you need your own login), quite a few adjustable benches, dumbbells, and a cable machine. The pool area has lounge chairs, plastic loungers in the shallow part of the pool, and an outdoor bar. The bar is a bit slow but does get busy. There's a coin: credit card laundry. They sell detergent and dryer sheets in the front, but maybe you should bring your own (a little pricey). The room is kinda small. There's a fridge that fits maybe a couple boxes of leftovers and beverages. The bathroom is super roomy. The balcony is amazing for if you wanna chill in your room. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
The hotel is about a 25 minute walk to the closest beach. The staff do not provide any local maps, offer any tips on how to walk to the beach or other close attractions, or any of the hotel amenities when you check in. This is not an on the beach resort, it feels more like a business hotel with limited amenities and dining. First off there is no one who will help you with luggage - they have one small cart to self serve hauling any luggage. We would not recommend the breakfast which runs about $20 and the food is the typical fake egg type of breakfast. Go to Akamai across the street for better everything at a better price. The bar is very average we found the drinks to be heavy on ice so the drinks were very watered down. Some of the front desk staff were inexperienced and not customer focused/unfriendly. The rooms are ok but the 'better' suite rooms overlook the pool, and surprise, the parking lot! The hotel photos don't show the parking lot on the other side of the infinity pool. You will also hear everything at the pool including screaming kids. The other side of the hotel faces the main road into Wailea so it is loud. The insulation between rooms and above you is poor - we could hear the room above us walking around, and our next door neighbor snoring. You will also hear the music played by the pool all day, even if you close the sliding glass door. Bring ear plugs is this type of sound bothers you. There are no drawers to store your clothes so you'll literally be living out of your suitcase. The prices they charge are high for an AC Hotel you may consider paying a bit more for a beachside resort. The upside is the hotel is very new and clean so no complaints in this department.

Yelp
Brand new hotel. Clean, super friendly & accommodating staff! You're literally in the best part of the island. You have an outdoor mall and beach that's walking distance. Also plenty of places to eat nearby. The mall has all your upscale stores. Pool has relaxing music playing most of the day and a beautiful pit fire by the bar at nights. Such a relaxing getaway.

Yelp
I had a wonderful and very pleasant stay at this location. The staff was well-trained, extremely friendly and helpful, and accommodative. The gym was clean and new. The pool area was gorgeous, especially during sunset. The bar was lively, and there was even live music in the evening. Parking costs extra so be prepared.

Yelp
Nice if you are staying in Phoenix. Not what you would expect or want to pay for at the prices charged. Staff is non responsive and never returns calls. It is an okay hotel but small and a tremendous ripoff. The manager was nice however rest of the staff was apathetic and acted entitled. We actually left and went to a another property .
