Stayed at the AC Hotel Times Square and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Midtown, walkable to Times Square, Broadway, restaurants, and subway lines. Whether you're here for business or sightseeing, it's central to everything. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a sleek design and comfortable rooms. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff—truly top-notch service all around. Big shout out to Joshua and Ricardo, the amazing bellmen who handle everything with professionalism and a smile. At the Front Desk, Diane, Sasha, Tyler and Gigi were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist. Clarissa and Betsy from housekeeping were kind, courteous, and made sure everything was spotless. Special recognition to Anthony, who went above and beyond—he remembered me by name, checked in to make sure my stay was perfect, and showed what true customer service looks like. His attention to detail and responsiveness made a real difference. Highly recommend this hotel—great value, excellent service, and an unbeatable location. Will definitely be back!

The AC was a great weekend stay. Closely located to Broadway and Time Square (10 min) walk. Multiple access points for the subway. PLENTY to sight see or shop in the area. The Market Bagel next door is DELICIOUS! Staff was friendly and able to answer the few questions we had. Rooms are on the smaller side but its NY. Also, if you're facing the street you will definitely hear the sounds of the city, but hey, who is really sleeping in the city that never sleeps. Hotel was also clean and grand feeling. Rooftop is nice, only had drinks which were delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

My hubby and I just spent 4 nights at this AC Marriott. We loved it.|It was very modern, very, very clean and comfortable. There is a lovely roof top bar with happy hour. The beds, the bath products, and the shower were quite nice. There was very little street or hallway noise. We were on the 14th floor and close to the elevator.||The hotel is centrally located to subways, theatre, restaurants and Time Square. The desk staff is always willing to help with any questions or requests. This hotel used the voucher system for breakfasts if you decide to include it in the price and is Spanish cuisine.

It was my first stay at the AC Hotel. Upon arrival, the staff was efficient, quick check in and very accommodating. The first staff member encountered was Ricardo. He was a delightful, warm person. He was full of suggestions to share to ensure we enjoyed the City. A nice greeting upon arrival. What ever we needed during our stay was accommodated. The staffs’ willingness to accommodate was bar none. Upon leaving Joshua was very helpful and kind. He helped provide a car service back to the airport. By the way, the driver was also excellent. I have no complaints at all. It really was a lovely stay and the staff made it that much more enjoyable. I will most definitely stay again!

I have been meaning to leave a review! I booked one night at the AC Hotel for an evening at Lincoln Center with my boyfriend. Gigi and Diane were absolutely amazing! They communicated and updated me through text messages. Through that, they were able to accommodate my early check in request in real time and offered room service through that chat! It was to the point, and the service was immediate.||I would like to shout out Gigi especially. There was a mixup with the hotel package I bought and we were given the wrong vouchers initially. Gigi cleared it up and readjusted the accommodations with ease. We were able to have a wonderful evening at their Bocqueria restaurant! (I forgot who was the manager at the time, but he was very considerate and understanding. Thank you again).||I highly recommend going to this hotel. I hope to return soon!

I travel weekly for work and have stayed at the AC Hotel two different times now. The staff is always friendly, they say hi and bye every time you walk through the lobby. The rooms are nice, beds are comfy, gym is good, and it’s not in the middle of the chaos of Times Square but you can get there quickly if needed. Also close to Port Authority and subway! On my last trip, Sasha checked me in and was awesome! She was friendly, solved a problem I had, seemed appreciative of the business, and I wanted to shout her out for her care and professionalism.

Google
I liked this hotel since it’s a few blocks away from time square. Location is perfect. Hotel is beautiful and modern. What I did not like about this hotel is that when I arrived to the room it had trash like an empty water bottle under the bed and a folded paper on the floor which tells me they do not clean it as it should be cleaned. The water bottle and paper stayed on the same spot for 2 out of the 4 nights we stayed in. But overall I would probably stay there again. All I can say to the hotel since it’s a Marriott that please make sure you housekeeping clean the rooms how they are supposed to.

I love AC Times Square. It's near the madness that is Times Square but it's located a few blocks away from all the congestion which makes it my go to property when I visit New York. The rooms are always clean and are very spacious in comparison to other hotels I've stayed at while visiting New York. I love the rooftop bar. It has good food and overs top notch views of Midtown Manhattan. The hotel staff is what makes this hotel what it is. They go out of their way to make sure hotel guests are taken care of. The rooftop bar must be visited.

Yelp
The AC Hotel Times Square in New York offers a modern, minimalist aesthetic with clean rooms and a central location, making it ideal for travelers wanting proximity to Times Square, Broadway, and Bryant Park. Our room was comfortable, wood floor, floor to ceiling window, lot of sunshine on 17 floor, friendly staff, especially shout out to Latoya for being nice and kind. Ambassador elite got welcome gifts in your room before your arrival. Complimentary bottle waters in the front desk lobby. Spacious lobby area for meeting and resting, a rooftop bar with great city views. However, the room sizes are relatively decent for New York standard. Overall, it's a solid choice for convenience for business travelers. However, this street got super busy traffic, so if you plan to the airport, please take an extra hour during peak hours as weekend.

Yelp
Arrived last night to Sasha greeting us at the front desk. She was a doll supporting any question I had about rooms/ accommodations etc. She saw I had a long day of travel & immediately offered me a water which I gladly excepted. However it didn't start there... I called earlier that day to confirm my room requests could be met& Kenny answered & quickly responded with a "yes" we can do that for you. I don't want to leave Gigi out as she was the trifecta that made the front desk welcoming committee delightful & very inviting! Very happy to have chosen this hotel of the many offered in Ny. Great location for what we are needing. Looking forward to exploring the rooftop lounge Yesterday was arrival day & we were pooped!!

Yelp
We stayed at the AC Hotel for our15 year anniversary while visiting New York August 29th-31st for 3 nights. This place is basically right in the heart of Times Square. It's a 100 yards of like 3 subway entrances, and all the action. The staff is here is unbelievably friendly and helpful. The rooms are sufficient, a tad small, but do the job. We had a room on the 17th floor with a nice view. One thing I think they could use would be an ice machine, even if not on your floor, put 1 on another floor or 2 and let people go get ice there. I would stay here again 100%.

Yelp
Great location. Not right in Time Square but close enough to walk. Rooms are clean & modern. Staff has been wonderful. Ricardo goes above & beyond. Friendly & helpful. Roof top bar is great, Bagel Market, Boqueria are next door all ver good.
google avatar

Yelp
The BEST! Location is perfect and a 2 block walk to Times Square. Hotel is clean, restaurant at hotel is Spanish style and tapas and delicious!! There is an awesome bagel store right next door too with fresh squeezed orange juice, acia bowls, gluten free bagels, and of course the standard New York bagel. Shout out to Ricardo at the front desk for all the great tips about the subway, what to do, getting us a car for the airport.

Yelp
The AC Hotel has become our go-to hotel when visiting NYC. It is 3 blocks from Times Square, but feels like a quiet side-street with easy valet pull-up (always spots in front) and so quiet at night that I forget I'm in NYC...no sirens, honking etc. LATOYA (Reception) was inviting and friendly upon our arrival. RICARDO (Valet) is a gem!! He is SO friendly, attentive to every guest as they enter the lobby offering assistance. He suggested a Transit App for our phones that allowed us to easily travel on the Subway all over the city with ease!! Thank you RICARDO for making our stay so great!! See you all again soon!!

Yelp
Friendly staff, clean modern rooms. Restaurant attached. Close to/walking distance to other restaurants, shops and most importantly Time Square. The only thing is that they don't have attached parking. However they do have a partnership with a parking garage a couple of blocks up the street that'll give a discounted rate.

Yelp
Stayed here from Thursday-Saturday. The staff was very friendly-everyone was smiling and welcoming. Ricardo was awesome, his energy was so great! He was just a hype dude, we loved it. It was nice they had waters on the counter since it was a hot week so we had some coming and going-it was a nice touch. Hotel was relatively clean. Some occasional detailed cleaning would help a little bit. And we found it interesting that a "higher floor" starts at floor 5 when it was a 20+floor building. So I would give them 4.5 stars for those.

Yelp
I have stayed here multiple times and I absolutely love it here. It's close to a lot of shows and shopping and there's a subway conveniently located close by. The staff makes me feel so welcome every time I come and the rooms are gorgeous. They have a rooftop bar with great views and heaters to keep you warm during the winter. I haven't tried the restaurant attached but I definitely will soon. I can't await to sleep here again!

Yelp
Ok hotel with ok location. Unfortunately every person at the front desk is apathetic and a jerk. I've interacted with at least 8 different people behind the desk and they simply don't care at all about guests. If you have Marriott status you will not get any of the benefits to which you're entitled so don't stay here.

Yelp
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. All staff--- front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, everyone was super friendly and very helpful. We booked the 2 queen bed room with a city view. The room was immaculately clean and well stocked for 4 days with 2 parents and 2 kids under 5. The views were stellar and the room was decently soundproof. I only have 2 minor complaints--- the shampoo, conditioner and body wash are very strong musk scents. Something I thought my husband would like but even he said they were too strong for his liking. The last is that the door to the bathroom is frosted glass and does not lock. No biggy if it's just you or 2 other adults. But not the greatest when you have 2 kids trying to open the door or peek inside every time you need to relieve yourself, lol. All in all, we will definitely be booking at this hotel again.

Yelp
My friend and I stay here on our recent trip to New York. I actually really loved the location of this hotel as it was near to Times Square, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. We chose it because we knew we were going to the theater most nights and wanted to have a relatively easy walk back from the theater. Our flights arrived early in the morning and we were able to store our luggage at the hotel while we went and explored. The hotel texted us when our room was ready which it was even before check-in time at four, which is great. Our room was modern and clean. We were happy to be able to get a room with two beds for a reasonable price. When our flights were canceled near hours before they were scheduled depart and after we had already checked out, I was able to call the hotel and they were able to extend us and check us right back in which was fantastic. The service at this hotel was top-notch everybody was so friendly. The only down sides were that we did have some problems with our shade for the window as it was broken and letting just a little bit of light in. Also, the elevators were a bit slow and they were doing some work on them the day that we left. Overall though a great stay and I would definitely stay again.

Yelp
This rooftop bar at this place has the WORST service ever! The servers were more worried about gossiping about customers than serving them. We're staying at the hotel and have come here over the years when we visit here, but the service has gone downhill. As I write this, our server is with a group towards the end enjoying a martini. It must be nice since we had to get up and walk over to the bar and grab our drinks.

Yelp
Nice clean rooms in a great location. Front desk staff is friendly and super helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I always book Marriotts and chose this location over the Marriott Marquis because it's a great location and more affordable than the Marquis. The best part about this place is the people who work here. They are extremely friendly and helpful. It's the first time I've stayed in a hotel where they text you each day to make sure everything is ok. The rooftop bar is nice but small and very crowded. The rooms are very modern and comfortable.

Yelp
I am sadly disappointed to say this hotel is awful. I have stayed in NYC marriott hotels for years and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I arrived at 10am, and understand that checkin isn't until 4pm. That's fine, so I walked around the city in freezing temperatures waiting until 4:30 pm and came back to the hotel, after not receiving a call letting me know my room was ready. Please keep in mind my room was supposed to be ready by 4:00 pm, which was checkin time. At 4:30 pm, I was told the room was not ready.......... This is absurd. Don't promise a 4:00 pm checkin if it isn't available. After finally getting checked in to the hotel over an hour later, the room is absurdly small. Absolutely disgusted. Will not be here again. The AC is deplorable.

Yelp
We used Marriott points to book the AC Hotel due to the perfect location for our NYC trip in May 2022. They took good care of us as hubby is a Titanium member. We had an issue at check out with the billing, it took awhile to explain but it was eventually taken care of. They have a great tapas restaurant on the ground floor and also a rooftop bar. Both I would recommend making reservations at your earliest. We took the train from JFK to Penn station then it was 8 blocks of walking but on the last day we took the taxi. Our King size bedroom had a huge floor to ceiling window, a safe and and small fridge. Down the hall there's also a water dispenser so you can refill your water bottles. There was a gym but we did not have time to check it out during our 5 nights stay. One night I saw some lavender sachets in the lobby which you can take to your room to help you sleep. This location is walking distance to a couple subway stations which makes it perfect for sightseeing around the city.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel for about a week in mid-October 2021. The hotel is very centrally located, not far by foot from Penn Station and the Empire State Building. I got a room on the 6th floor. It was pretty spacious and comfortable, but there wasn't any sort of view from where I was staying and the HVAC was a bit noisy--this didn't bother me too much because I'm a heavy sleeper but something to keep in mind if you aren't. The room was well-appointed, including a fridge which came in handy during my stay. Either due to Covid-19 or ecological measures, I was told at check-in that room service would only be cleaning the rooms every 5 days but if anything was needed I could just request it. (I didn't wind up needing anything.) I've stayed at quite a few Marriotts and this one was a bit on the dustier side of what I was expecting at the time I checked in. Mostly in the bathroom some of the lotion/shampoo bottles had a bit of hair on them already when I was doing my first look around the place. Nothing egregious, but not ideal either. The staff were polite and friendly, and the hotel offered some useful services like looking after luggage before/after check-in/check-out and offering a car service to the nearby airports (this may only be cheaper than Uber on certain days/at certain times so be sure to compare before selecting). There's also a Spanish/tapas restaurant on the ground floor that takes reservations (they can get busy even during the week).

Yelp
Hotel staff was great! It is very close to time square. The rooms were clean and the view was great.

Yelp
The rooftop bar is spectacular and adds to the rare charm and versatility of this unique boutique hotel. Really a sanctuary in the middle of Times Square as its decorative open space and pristine ambiance makes this a haven for those looking to escape the chaos of the city nightlife. A more sophisticated and modern version with an exceptionally attentive staff and carefully designed architecture as well as simple yet elegant interiors and luxurious bathrooms. My mother felt like it was a peaceful oasis.

Yelp
Cannot recommend this hotel. Arrived at 10 am was told check in at 4 pm. Was promised a call when room was ready. Didn't receive a call. Went back to hotel at 4:40 pm. Room was not ready. Had been on the streets of NYC in near freezing temps with family for almost 7 hours. Have been a Marriott elite member for 25+ years and expect a higher level of service from even a discount Marriott brand. Save your money! Stay away!!!!!
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
My stay here was just perfect! The room was so nice and clean, bed and pillows were perfectly comfortable, the bathroom is modern with an amazing rainfall shower. The views were a bonus too! The AC puts out lavender sachets in the evening that you can take with you for bedtime, I thought that was such a sweet touch. Special shoutouts to Alice and Mario at the front desk. Alice helped me print out some special maps for an NYC tour for my family. She was SO accommodating and sweet, and I wouldn't have been able to run my DIY tour without her help. Mario was incredibly kind as well, and he helped me pull off a nice thank-you gift for Alice when I checked out! Excellent customer service.

Yelp
Great stay and centrally located. We were only here for one night. Checked in at 11pm since our flight arrived late and left the following day. Our check in was quick and easy, room was clean. Hotel held our bags while we were gone the entire day sightseeing, due to a late return flight. Joshua helped us retrieve our luggage and got us a cab. He was super friendly and professional. Highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel due to my Marriott status. We arrived early, but had to wait until 4:00pm to check in. So we did a little shopping while awaiting the room. Upon checkin I was informed the king room I selected upon booking was not available and was given two double beds. The gentleman at the desk was extremely nice and friendly. However, this was the worst sleep ever. My husband and I sleep in a king bed at home. So this double bed was not the best. Overall the room was clean and modern and again the staff was super nice. But, the bed request was not fulfilled. And especially with my status with Marriott I would hope that it would have been fulfilled.

Yelp
I stayed at the AC Hotel for eight nights in April 2021. Due to the extended stay I got a good indication as to how the hotel operates, what worked well and what didn't. The good: - Hotel is modern and very conveniently situated to public transport and attractions. I personally am not a fan of the Times Square area because it is overly touristy although this is not a reflection of the hotel. - Front desk staff are excellent. Daniel was outstanding, if I owned a hotel, I'd want him to manage it. He was very patient, friendly and obliging to help out. - Choice of two onsite/adjacent restaurants (Rooftop and one that connects to the lobby). - Gym is modern and fully featured. - Lobby is spacious and nice to hangout in. - Rooms are well appointed although they are very small. Perhaps slightly larger than a regular NYC hotel room, not by much though. The bad: - The walls are paper thin. My first night I couldn't sleep at all, I had to buy earplugs just to sleep throughout my stay. - Maintenance of the hotel is severely lacking. My first room had obvious maintenance deficiencies (such as nonworking blinds). - The elevator buttons don't work well, I missed my floor several times because the elevator would start going up before I could press it. Random but true. - Front desk did not often answer the phone, although texting through the Marriott app worked. - Strong presence of marijuana smoke in the hotel. I actually got a headache during my stay because of it. It wafts all through the floor (I stayed on two levels after my room was moved). - Terrible housekeeping. They literally forgot hand soap and brought me a broken soap dispenser on an occasion. I also dropped my phone between the mattress and the solid wooden bead head and saw a pile of uneaten crackers between the base of the bed and the wall (gross!). The housekeeping service was very unreliable and they did not clean well whatsoever. Also, there was very poor communication between housekeeping and the front-desk because on my last day, housekeeping dropped by three times to do a "regular" service and didn't know I was checking out. Certainly not the standard that Marriott promises with their COVID cleaning guarantee. - No suites or meaningful upgrades for Marriott Platinum and above, mainly due to there being just one and two bed rooms. Overall, this hotel really suffers from a maintenance and operational standpoint. I feel like the management and housekeeping staff let this hotel down but the front-desk staff appear to be trying their hardest.

Yelp
We stared two nights at the AC. It was a nicely kept hotel with a strong European and Spanish influence with the design and art. But no coffee service, not much storage space in the room, no luggage rack, no dressers, there was a broken pump on the shower gel. And with having only one bar of soap that mom had used first, I was stuck with using shampoo. I did like the gym, it was pretty spacious with a good variety of equipment that was well maintained. And the rooftop bar is super nice, but oh my goodness, it's pricey. 19 bucks for a glass of wine, ouch.

Yelp
Considering that this is a hotel from a chain in my least favorite neighborhood in New York, I had quite a pleasant stay. The lobby is bright, entirely white, sparse, but classy. Check-in was quick and efficient, the service staff knowledgeable, helpful, and nice. The room itself was well laid out and didn't feel cramped, as is so often the case in New York. Dark wood panels everywhere, modern, sleek, well designed. The only thing is that because there isn't any carpeting or other muffling substances, if you're sharing a hotel room you can hear everything inside the room. That said, I didn't hear anything from down the hall or other floors or outside, which is great. The bathroom itself was fine and again well laid out. I liked that the sink area had a large amount of counter space. It was a bit odd that the tissues and all the q-tips etc were on a little counter underneath the sink, but that's fine. At least there were lots of places to hang towels. The square toilet was a little uncomfortable, though. There's no minibar. There's a small fridge with two complimentary water bottles and two chilled glasses in there, which is A-OK for me. A couple of small drawers, areas to put two suitcases down, which I appreciate, one of which doubles as a cushioned bench. There's no real sitting area, but that's fine.
google avatar

Yelp
The window is amazing, but honestly, there's not that much of a view. You're directly facing another tall building. The waterfall shower was nice as well and the staff was very courteous. Now the negatives. Beside horrendous parking (which is to be expected for NYC) directly outside of the building were crackheads arguing and people begging for change. Now that's not the hotels fault but if you wanna avoid this, choose another hotel. Also the location is a block away from Times Square so the foot traffic is crazy. People packed on skinny NY streets. Lastly, found a long black hair in the comforter... I almost died. Probably wouldn't choose to stay there again.

Yelp
My wife and I were transferred to this hotel due to our original hotel shutting down due to Covid. This place is really well appointed and clean, plus the location is definitely central being right in Times Square. The subway is close, there's everything right there, and that's all great. If you're looking for a nice place, you'll like it. The rooms are clean, the bed is super comfortable and I loved the staff. Times Square is gross, congested and grimy, so it's not my first choice, but you can most certainly do worse for a hotel in the area.

Carlos P.

Yelp
The front desk women and two guys were rude...giving the middle finger and calling a person a "bitch" by the short curly hair so called manager...no professionalism...grow up children !!!

Yelp
Just stayed here for NRF 2023 and the staff at this hotel was awesome. Josh at the front desk went over and above to make sure my stay was a great experience. Great job, Josh and Team!

Yelp
My daughter and I visited New York for the first time and this hotel gave us the best experience ever. They helped us on everything and advised where to go or not to go , the room was extremely clean, the area was very accessible to everything and the people in the hotel were amazing! No complaints, I will be back. Guest service and the front desk they were always attentive and ready for us. Great manners it made us feel like we were a celebrity all the time!!

Yelp
Just checked out today. Got a wonderful rate. Clean. Basic amenities in the room but I don't need to live there. Updated rooms and hotel. Partner gym buff used the gym and he gave a high score for equipment. Did not eat at hotel choices but looked wonderful. The location is extremely close to Port Authority and about 6 walking blocks from Penn Station which I traveled to on the train. Walking close to the MSG area and Times Square area in the other direction. Totally stocked Duane Reade store block up on the 8th. Many shops and eating places around. Dunkin donuts etc. Wish I could have stayed longer. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Will check luggage as needed. During busy times expect to check-in at check-in time and not sooner.

Yelp
I am very disappointed in The Marriott overall. I am a Bonvoy Member. We may not travel often, but when we do we use the Marriott. I planned a weekend get away to New York as we have never been. We live in California. I made the reservations when New York began to open up restaurants and when indoor eating had begun. I figured we had 3 months for things to get better or stay the same. Now that things have gotten worse and new restrictions have been implemented where we have to quarantine three days on arrival in the hotel when we were only staying three nights, we decided to postpone our trip. When I googled The Marriott Hotel to go straight through the hotel website. I was not paying attention as I was excited to plan our trip. I ended up pressing on a link through a third party carrier "Reservations.com" which is a third party company that makes it look you are using the hotel website, yet you are not. They will not make changes or accommodations and just take your money and tell you that it's non refundable.. At the end of the day, the Marriott Hotel is getting paid for the hotel stay. I called having high expectations as I had faith in the Marriott to make the changes for us due to Covid restrictions. They pointed the finger back at Reservations.Com as Reservation.Com pointed the finger at the Marriott. I paid $400 to stay at the Marriott and they said they "can't" make any accommodations since I didn't go through them. This means they are no better than Reservations.Com a shady and dishonest company that misleads people to believe you are using the hotel website. The Marriott is willing to take my reservation through Reservations.com, take the money through them, let me stay at their hotel through them, yet takes no responsibility in making an accommodation to change the date as they already got paid. I am very disappointed in the Marriott for their lack of accommodations.

Yelp
I decided to stay at this hotel based of the reviews it has. And CANNOT believe the service and quality of the room upon our arrival. Rooms are dirty! I requested a room change ASAP. Hand sanitizers are empty at the lobby all through our stay they don't seem to care of the health of their clients. Rooms are nasty. Empty shampoo and soap dispensers and no toilet paper, this was of coarse after we requested our room change. Please stay away from this hotel and book elsewhere

Yelp
Thank you, for a beautiful stay! Supervisor Daniel and the young Filipino gentleman (forgot to write his name down) you both were so great! Gave us great tips about being safe in time square. The New York hospitality was very much appreciated. This location is near the subway and I'll definitely will stay here again

Yelp
The convenience of this location was amazing and it was tucked away enough for you to not be bothered by the Times Square crowd. Perfect spot to stay if you're in town for Broadway!

Yelp
Great hotel. Within a couple minute walk of Times Square/Broadway. Liked being away from actual craziness of Times Square. Great access to subway lines. Hotel is modern, clean and quiet. It was really hot in NYC while we were there and air conditioning works great. Room is small but all rooms I stay in while visiting NYC are small. We were very pleased and would come back for sure.

Yelp
Elegant, modern, and just the perfect amount of space. For me, AC Hotel did a perfect job in designing these rooms to be comfortable with the vinyl flooring, all glass standing showers, and floor to ceiling windows. The hotel is right in the heart of Times Square and will have you at the famous steps or New Years ball in less than five minutes. Prices are also reasonable when compared o some of the more legacy hotels that Marriott has in their portfolio. If you're looking for a clean and modern feeling hotel, AC Hotel will do you no wrong and won't hurt your wallet in the process.

Yelp
Terrible experience overall and would not recommend for your stay if visiting the city. While the hotel is primely located near Times Square and has several nice amenities such as a rooftop restaurant, meeting space, etc. the cleanliness and staff service sucked. Stayed for memorial weekend and had great service from the manager Daniel (probably one of the few folks that actually gave good service here) However the rooms themselves were quite dirty with visible stains on the mattress sheets, top blanket, and pillows. When I tried to contact the front desk they never picked up and were always busy downstairs. Further, they attempted to check me out early stating "whoever setup the reservation in our system must have done it wrong" but never apologized and actually tried to make me feel like it was my fault their system was incorrect. I thought this was resolved but come to find out after my stay I still received charges for late check out and now while I'm trying to contact them to remove the charges I just keep getting transferred from the front desk to sales back and forth.

Yelp
If you have to stay in this neighborhood, this hotel is an ideal option. I will preface this by saying I love the AC brand and have stayed in several across the country. It's modern, clean, and convenient. Rooms are quite big for NYC and come with a small refrigerator and a microwave, as well as a coffee maker with actual good-tasting coffee. There is a set of good snacks and wines available in the lobby. And as a bonus, Boqueria - a great Spanish tapas restaurant - is attached to the hotel so you don't even need to exit into the hell of Times Square/Port Authority if you don't want to. While I've been a Moxy loyalist for the past year or two, they've got some super steep competition here at the AC.

Yelp
This place is disgusting don't even bother wasting your money to come here I had a room here and they didn't even change the sheets or blankets I could tell because when I pulled back the sheets there was blood on the comforter. It's a pandemic going on and they don't even care about anyone's health or safety

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel in early October, and it really was a great property for our needs. The location is key - super close to lots of restaurants and bars, and just a short walk to the Port Authority for subways. We had some trouble the first day, though - we got there around noon, knowing that our room wouldn't be ready. We dropped off our bags and were told that we could check in at 3 pm. We did make a request for a room with a view after reading the other reviews about the building across the alley, so we knew that it might take a bit longer. However, we got there at 3, and we were told the room hadn't been cleaned yet. It would be another "hour-ish," but it was more like 2 hours. We had tickets to a show that night, so we really wanted to be able to shower and change. We finally got our room at 5, after sitting in the lobby with many others in the same situation. I'm not sure what the issue was, but we really should have been offered free coffee or something while we waited. We were entirely ignored. About the room - it was very spacious for NYC, and the view was great. The floor to ceiling windows are nice, and the blackout curtains are KEY. They really helped to drown out the noise and light. The bathroom was very nice, and the products were of good quality. Our housekeeper was pretty inconsistent - some days we had 2 towels, and some days we had four. They didn't replace the shampoo/conditioner every day, but thankfully it was enough. The AC was pretty loud, but I'm sensitive to those kinds of things. This one kind of vibrated, but that really only gave me trouble the first night. Surprisingly, there wasn't much noise in the hallways, and we were able to sleep very well. All in all, I would stay there again, but I would make sure to have plenty of flexibility on check in day!

Yelp
Perfect location. Staff were all very friendly. We had the best experience in NYC and the staff at the hotel were so welcoming and helpful whenever we had questions or needed recommendations. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel the weekend before Christmas. The hotel is conveniently located, walking distance to Whole Foods Bryant Park and the subway station. The hotel's restaurant, Boqueria, was both convenient and a fun experience. Lastly, I want to highlight two hotel staff members, Joshua and Amanda - they were both incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. They left a great impression!

Yelp
I recently completed a 5-night stay at the AC [Adequate Comfort] Times Square and my lasting impression is: It's a moderately-priced clean/modern hotel in a decent location with bad service. Having chosen this hotel due to its central Midtown Manhattan location and positive experiences at AC's, I looked forward my stay here. The property itself is fairly new and is modernly aesthetic in true AC style. My room was small (perhaps normal for NYC) which featured a "great view" of garment sweatshop in an adjacent building. The gym had enough equipment and free weights for a decent workout. Thumbs up to the filtration machine there where I could fill up my shaker bottle with fresh water (I don't trust the stuff that's been sitting around in a tank). Another positive here was the rooftop lounge "Castell" which I found to be a classy place to cap off the night, taking in the skyline with a Smokey Manhattan. Unfortunately, they have unbelievably slow internet and to make matters worse, the "high-speed/enhanced" internet was down. Desk staff I spoke to could do better with their customer service skills. They were apathetic when I raised issues with the enhanced internet and a billing mistake. Additionally, they charged me for a market item I was told was free due to my Marriott Platinum status. Overall, it's a decent hotel in a good location. Whether you're a Marriott/SPG member or not there are probably better hotels for the same price range. I rate this place an "Average" at 3 of 5 pillows.

Yelp
First time staying at this property/brand/concept and I have to say it was a unique experience. Being a road-warrior for the past 15 years, I thought I had seen it all when it comes to hotels and perks; I thought my hotel days where over in lieu of the local airbnb. Until I discovered the AC brand. First, the customer service is nostalgic. Its back to the old skewl day of service with a smile and people who are genuinely concerned about making your stay as memorable as can be. Special shout out to Christopher Abraham and everyone at the property. When we advised in conversation that it was my sons bday, that very evening, Shannon left cupcakes from one of the local craft bakeries with a birthday card in the hotel for my son The room was even equipped with a smart TV. Now, I;m planning our next family vacation and we are already seeking out the AC properties. Much love again to the AC Time Square staff.

Yelp
I am blown ppl away by the rude attitude of Jefferson and Maxwell. Aggressive and quick to respond in a condescending rude tone. Maybe it's because I'm used to the quality of service and hospitality culture provided in LA and SF, maybe it's them treating me and my partner different because of how we look, maybe their mothers raised the poorly...regardless they are not upholding the standard of hospitality I would expect from a motel 6 employee at 3:45 AM in Amarillo. We have stayed here 5 nights in a row and requested some late check outs, rebooked our rooms etc etc...I am surprised they are not happy to accommodate our needs with a smile.

Yelp
Loved this hotel. 1. The location is pretty sweet. Less than 5 minutes to two different subway stations, and about 5 minutes to the heart of Times Square. 2. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. 3. The whole hotel, including everything in the rooms was very modern, functional, and clean. All that said ... some things to be aware of ... Valet parking is expensive at $75/day, but this is NYC and it's hard to park a car for less than that anywhere. Rooms were on the small side with limited space for storing things and even just walking, but again, this is NYC, and that's just the way things are here.
