Maddie at the front desk is absolutely amazing with her knowledge and care for our experience. She went above and beyond to provide more information in regards to restaurants and things to do around the area than I’ve ever had anybody at a hotel. Shereally created a positive inviting environment that I want to be a part of. Thank you, Maddie for everything and I Wish more people would be like you.

Stayed here for a conference. My room was listed as a “premium view” reservation but my 5th floor room faced west looking at a building across the street. I wouldn’t call that premium but I don’t think there was a whole lot to see if I was across the hallway, either. Maybe I’m not familiar enough with the AC Hotel brand but I was surprised by the minimalistic nature of the room. No closet and only two drawers. It was fine since I was a single occupancy but I wouldn’t bring my family here. My only other complaint was the pillows. Way too soft for my liking but I understand a hotel isn’t ever going to please 100% of their guest preferrences. I do want to highlight the staff on being very pleasant and professional. I didn’t meet a single staff member that wasn’t smiling and friendly. I appreciated that. Finally, I enjoyed the proximity to Cascade Park. I enjoyed walking it when there was downtime in the conference.

I am very happy overall with this hotel, great front desk, staff great location very clean rooms. My only complaint is that housekeeping doesn’t know how to comply with a do not disturb sign. I’ve been here for the past week and on three different occasions, they’ve incessantly knocked on my door. Tried to open the door while it was locked and call out to me. I typically don’t need service when I’m staying in a hotel hence the do not disturb sign. I was on a work call two of the times and was unable to answer them, but they continue to knock and call out. This morning, as I was even coming back from breakfast, I saw the housekeeper in the hallway and told her that I would be staying over two more nights and then I would not be needing any more service. And then an hour later they started, knocking calling and opening the door yet again I didn’t respond because I was in the shower and then about 30 minutes later they did it again I used to work in hotels years ago and this is a big no-no . I think some additional training is needed here. Other than that, I’m very happy with the hotel, the accommodations were very nice and the food was great in the restaurant.

This is/ was my very first time staying at the AC Hotel in Tallahassee — and my first time in Tallahassee, period — and WOW, what an experience! From the moment I pulled up, the service was outstanding. The valet was friendly and welcoming, but the real stars were Reggie and Brittney at the front desk. Their smiles lit up the entire lobby! They immediately knew I was here for the FAMU graduation (they’re good! 😂) and made me feel like part of the celebration. Their energy, kindness, and professionalism truly set the tone for my whole stay. They even got me into my room early, and when I opened that door? Let me tell you! A private balcony, a beautiful glass-door refrigerator, spotless décor — I felt like I had just walked into a brand-new hotel. And honestly, the place still looks new even though it’s around four years old. Whoever is keeping this hotel in such pristine condition deserves major credit. I’m also on the floor with the gym (which means I may or may not work out — but hey, the access is there! 😄). And when I turned on the TV and saw my name pop up with a personal welcome? That was the cherry on top. It’s the small touches that make you feel right at home. This entire experience has been top-tier. Warm, modern, clean, and full of great energy. I felt valued from the minute I walked in. I am officially a Bonvoy member for life after this stay. Huge shout-out to Reggie and Brittney — give them all the recognition they deserve! If you’re considering where to stay in Tallahassee… come on in. You will not regret it!

My husband and I were trying to get in touch with Charlie Park, but after several calls with no answer, we reached out to the front desk at AC Hotels. Parker was the one who picked up, and he went above and beyond to help us. He tried transferring us multiple times, and when that didn’t work, he actually ran over there himself to get our question answered in person. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and truly went out of his way to provide amazing service. Parker is a perfect example of outstanding hospitality, and we’re so grateful for his help. Highly recommend AC Hotels for their exceptional staff!

Google
Good hotel. Clean. Reliable. One thing tho… why would you put anybody in the room next to the gym… especially if it’s 24 hours…. I was woken up several times from guests working out and slamming weights.

Google
Paulina is an absolute gem! Her smart, friendly, and charming vibe stole my heart. Traveling the world, I’ve never met someone so amazing at making you feel welcome. From perfect drinks to flawless service, she made my food, drinks, and time unforgettable. The hotel’s brilliant for hiring such a professional star! I’m already excited to come back and bringing all my friends. Thank you, Paulina, and thanks, AC Marriott for the easy, perfect experience! Highly recommend!

The company I work for reserved the room for me. I was greeted by the front desk. When asked to put a card on file, I was never told any amount, and just assumed it was an incidentals charge. I got to my room to find that I was charged $470 on my debit card. I was told that this was the price of the room plus incidentals. When I tried to investigate further, I was told to give them an email address for my boss so they could send a credit card authorization form. I provided her email and they wrote it down and said they would take care of it. Upon arrival to 415, there was a bed bug crawling on the comforter. I went downstairs with my belongings and showed the front desk a video of the bug. I was told there were no other rooms, and “are you going to be okay with staying in that room if we go clean it”. I told them absolutely not. bed bugs MUST be quarantined and taken care of to prevent spread. The front desk told me he was completely full. I stood there with my things just ready to cry. He finally found a room? Not sure why he told me he was full if he wasn’t. I made sure to double check all the bedding in the new room. Didn’t sleep well and had to be up for a meeting at 7 am. I checked with the front desk a total of THREE times about sending the email to my boss about the credit card authorization form and the third time the woman at the desk told me that nobody ever sent my boss the email. She finally handled it for me and got it taken care of as far as switching the card on file so I don’t get charged $470 for a room the company I work for reserved for me. This has been the most frustrating and upsetting hotel experience of my life. Not only did the front desk lie to me about communicating with my boss, but I was treated like a nuisance for approaching them about the bed bug situation. I have stayed in other Marriott’s before and had wonderful experiences. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and do not ever plan to be a returning Marriott guest. This was a level of unprofessionalism I had not experienced before.

Yelp
I travel often for work and stayed at the AC Hotel in Tallahassee for 11 days during one of my assignments. This hotel ended up being a great choice. The location is perfectly placed near Cascades Park and The Edison, which made it really easy to get out and enjoy the area. I took advantage of the trail at Cascades Park a couple of times during my stay. The on-site hotel restaurant was also very good. I had brunch there and it made for a great view. They do have valet parking which is fine, but personally, I prefer a lot so I can come and go as I please. Still, the valet attendants were always very nice and efficient. The hotel staff was also very friendly. I appreciated that they had a designated setup for deliveries, especially since you need your key card to use the elevators. It made everything feel organized and secure. The rooms themselves were great too. One thing I especially loved was the backlighting feature within the rooms. It gave the space a really clean and modern feel. So much counter space in the bathrooms and the lighting was great. Overall, it was a really solid stay and I would definitely stay here again if I find myself back in Tallahassee.

Yelp
Great stay at this hotel! The rooms were nice..floors could have been a bit cleaner. Bed was comfy and shower was nice. There is a rooftop bar (that I was never able to get into). There is also a bar/lounge area that had a nice patio seating area attached. Loved the staff here..ate there 2x since the rooftop was so freaking full all the time. Lol. They offer valet but there is a paid parking garage right across the street that's more cost friendly. The outdoor spac surrounding the hotel was great. Lots of people running and hanging out enjoying the weather. For some reason my GPS wasn't recognizing the street in front of hotel entrance..it kept telling me I was going up the wrong way. I enjoyed my brief stay here.

Yelp
I really appreciate Marriott and all of the semi-premium properties. ACs are typically nice. A few issues here: First, the music is SO LOUD. All. The. Time. You can hear it in the elevators, in the rooms, it is blaring and blasting. The lobby is not a club, it's a lobby. Simply not needed. I will never come back to the property for this reason alone. Even at 7a in the morning, on the elevator, it is thumping. Second, broken destroyed TV remote. And, sliding barn-style door for bathroom would not slide. Not even budge. No clue. Lastly, I am not sure if Marriott constructed this facility or took it over, but the walls a extremely thin. It was more like a curtain between rooms rather than walls. Whether it was the dog whimpering and yelping on one side, or the extremely loud people on the other, it was nearly unbearable. Nope.

Yelp
I am and have been for many years a lifetime platinum member of the Marriott Bonvoy Club. People ask me what that means, it means over my years of traveling I've spent over 1000 nights in Marriott hotels. 1. This is a newer hotel. 2. The TV in the room? It is in an odd place. Not useable lying in the bed (it is up on the wall too high) and it is high enough that you can't use it as a monitor (there is an HDMI cable, but the TV is way to high to be useful). 3. Valet is a bit expensive. Overall the hotel is clean. The food is great. Next time I stay in Tallahassee it will be on my list of possible places to stay. After 1000 nights I am a bit picky. I have stayed in some of the best Marriott hotels in the world.

Yelp
This is a newer hotel in town, right next to Cascade Park. This makes it easy to go for a scenic morning walk outside. Which is great for me because gyms aren't really my thing. There are restaurants, coffee, and bars all within walking distance. The style is very modern but a little too clinical for my taste.

Yelp
This is our second stay. Love it here mostly. Great location - great bar and decent food open til 11pm or so. Just had a crazy afternoon at the bar though. Erykah was a fantastic but new bartender. She was solo... and the bartender who was LATE (coming in with a Starbucks ugggg) did nothing but criticize the decent work her trainee had accomplished. As being a former BAR MANAGER - I was appalled at the condensing behavior of the late employee. You may "work 75 hours a week" and been at it for "30 years" but your human skills are zero and you need to not be working or training people at all. Uggg. (You catch more flies with sugar honey...) Anyways.... I tipped Erykah well and hope all people have a happy Saturday- and just a fyi don't be an asshole thanks bye

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is brand new and we loved how soft and warm the beds were. The only thing that was missing was a microwave. There also wasn't one to use in the lobby.
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
This place sucks. Overpriced and the restaurant tries to gauge you. First, they don't care about your experience. So good luck if the chicken at dinner is cold. Why? "They don't have a microwave". Unsure how they cook it. And second, place closes down at 10 pm. Good luck getting glass of wine. And they front desk is a price gauger at $70 a bottle for shit wine.

Yelp
We stayed here one night to drop our son at FSU. It's a beautiful new hotel. They have a valet but we opted for parking in the city garage across the street. I visited the bar and it had good service. It opens up to an outdoor rooftop terrace. The room itself was spacious and well appointees, clean, and though we were right next to the gym, we heard no noise. I would recommend it and stay here again.

Yelp
I have always been a fan of AC hotels. The chic and modern European ambiance is what continues to bring me here for business trips. The lobby area and rooms are superb. My room was quiet and dark. Water pressure and temperature in the shower was perfect. The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive. It is valet only so be prepared to pay a little bit, or you can park across the street in the lot. I had a couple drinks at the bar and the bartender seemed to be more concerned with her regulars than me. It was pretty annoying but it is what it is.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this location. I was told it was the brand new hotel and it was beautiful. The staff were super polite, very professional and the hotel was extremely clean. The lounge had great food, my sliders were delicious! I'd definitely stay here again.

Yelp
More than we could have expected. The hotel is conveniently located near downtown and near the University of Florida State. We came in for the Seminole's softball game and to tour the campus for our kids. The hotel was very clean and had everything we needed, especially the lounge and breakfast services. We didn't have to travel out for food and the hotel was very quiet at night. This is one of the nicest hotels in Tallahassee and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to this location. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was nice and went out of their way. The breakfast was also top notch and reminded us of the breakfasts we have when we stay in Marriott hotels overseas. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Yelp
Tired..quick check in...hydrated - Voss water for the win..slept well....horrible breakfast but manager handled that...checked out...visited area museum..walked to local park...decided I wanted to stay in Tally...came back and checked in again! I'm a fan of the service and location.

Yelp
This is a brand-new hotel in the center of a modern development at the heart of the city of Tallahassee, Florida. The AC hotels by Marriott is one of the Marriott brands (was originally a Spanish hotel chain purchased about 10 yrs ago by Marriott, and expanded globally). The hotel has a contemporary design with sparse decoration and high ceilings. There is a full double bar with outside seating that doubles as the hotel's breakfast area. It has a library, multiple meeting rooms, and spacious guest rooms. My room was a queen double; all AC hotels have mini refrigerators(not mini bars, thank God) and the bathrooms are subway-tiled, roomy, with all the amenities (including a rain shower). Adjacent to the hotel's building, and on the 8th floor, is a very chic restaurant with roof views. Alas, the only possible negative is that the hotel does not have a pool (but I don't care about that amenity, so it's still 5* for me). Close to the Capitol, Department of Education, and restsurants. Loved my stay here during the 2021 Memorial Day weekend.

Lesli D.

Yelp
I wasn't planning on staying at a hotel but was camping and the weather turned. I am a loyal Marriott patron so chose this hotel. While the staff were uniformly pleasant and the place was clean I was disappointed with there being no guest laundry, not service or do it yourself. As a traveler I find that a let down. There is also no Members Lounge so breakfast was had in the ( very loud music at 6:15am) restaurant for a $20 buffet. Nowhere to heat a croissant, no plant based milk (in 2024!) and extra for any coffee other than Americano. I would probably not stay here again. As a Platinum Elite member I found it lacking.

Yelp
Great hotel, nice staff, in a great location and they take pets! Very clean rooms too. I highly recommend this Marriott.

Yelp
The restaurant on the rooftop is extraordinary! Charlie Park gets 5 stars for their first Sunday brunch, an experience in food, environment and service. Absolutely delightful, promise you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This hotel is in the perfect location of Tallahassee. They have valet, metered parking (free on weekends), and garage paid parking. Of course, it would be better if it was always free. Check-in was easy and smooth. The lady allowed us to get access to our room a couple hours early. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. There was pretty good free WiFi and access to Netflix on the TV. The walls are very thin, so guests, dogs, and housekeeping woke us up around 8 AM. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9 AM and then again at 12 PM. I asked her kindly if she could come back, and she said in a rude tone that I had to come find her if I wanted my room cleaned. Make sure you put the "do not disturb sign" if you don't want to be bothered. There was a dog on our hall who kept barking in the morning, so beware of that possibly happening to you! Next, I asked the AC Hotel front desk lady where the pool is, and she told me the direction of the other elevators. So, I went up the elevator and asked the Charlie Park front desk staff where the pool is, and they laughed in my face saying this is a restaurant. I just didn't appreciate how this was handled. They do not have a pool here! For check-out, it took about 15 minutes to get helped since the lady was busy with a customer and multiple phone calls. The lady seemed overwhelmed and was slightly rude toward all guests in line. AC Hotel should consider hiring a second concierge person for the morning shifts at least. Overall, I'll still give this a 3 star given the location, cleanliness, access to room early, and bed comfort.

Yelp
Smoke in mirrors. Yes the rooms are new. Yes it looks nice. Under the covers...it is run by a bunch a liars. Wizard of Oz, nothing behind the curtain. There is a bar, there is no food. There is a roof top restaurant, you are not invited. Every ounce of this place is a "wanna be" Good luck if you stay here, you are better off in a place that has staff and service.

Loni S.

Yelp
Sedrick at the front desk & Kenzie the bartender are AMAZING !!! & Alicia @ the breakfast bar ! Even the valets were great & I didn't even bring a car ! The fresh lavender in the little bags before bed were everything ! I stay in hotels frequently ... hands down this was fabulous !!! Overlooking beautiful Cascade Park. Charlie Park was Devine !

Yelp
What a terrible experience. First, they gave me the wrong room, when I went back down stairs to get it corrected the front desk lady asked if having a room change was really something that I needed.... Ew. After fixing the room assignment. i went upstairs to get ready to go out, while in the bathroom CHANGING maintenance just WALKED RIGHT INTO MY ROOM. didnt even knock. I went and spoke to the manager on duty and all he could offer was a free appetizer for my trouble.... I told him that this was unacceptable and ended up getting my dinner and drinks at the bar comped....cool... THE NEXT MORNING, im laying in bed(with a do not disturb sign on the door)and hear a soft knock, I yell that "someone is in here", they knock harder... so I get up and walk towards the door, and THEY SCAN THEIR CARD TO GET INTO MY ROOM. I swing the door open and ask if I can help him. He's flustered and says,"just seeing if I can get you anything" WHAT?!?. The same guy scanning into my room 2 days in a row! That's not a coincidence, that reeks of HUMAN TRAFFICKING. My room ended up being comped(which is the bare minimum) I would NOT recommend this hotel. And the whole time the lady at the front desk just acted like she was annoyed with having to deal with this, yea me too sis. This hotel does not put the guests safety first. I was a single woman staying alone out of town for work and had maintenance walk into my room unannounced TWICE. 0/10.

Madelyn D.

Yelp
I went to the bar here and it is so cool! There is a splash pad, and both an outdoor and indoor seating area. It is a little pricey, but the atmosphere is nice, and they have some cool cocktails.

Yelp
I'm a Bonvoy member so I only stay at Marriott hotels. I've stayed at most of their brands, from Fairfield To Ritz Carlton. I'll never stay here again. Looks nice, but walls are paper thin. Guests next door weren't even being loud, just normal talking. I didn't bother complaining because it wasn't their fault that this hotel was built like a shitty motel.

Yelp
Had an enjoyable stay for a couple days before bidding adieu to 2022. The nice size hotel is located in a pretty central spot. There is a parking garage where you can self park and pay a less per night parking charge but we chose valet which was just a bit more but so worth it. You can request your car with An app which provided Instant service. Never had to wait for car. As you walk in to the hotel, you can instantly tell that the property is well kept. The receiving lobby area is aesthetically very pleasant. Service at the hotel is great. From valet, front desk to those in the restaurant/lounge area, employees were very professional and attentive. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and bathroom had great double shower heads. The only negative for me was the bathroom doors are the sliding barn yard type which doesn't provide much privacy when using the bathroom. So your roommate will hear everything going on inside. Overall we had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Tallahassee area.

Cindy A.

Yelp
This hotel is very customer friendly. It has all of the amenities, good food, very friendly service. Especially Joey at the front desk. He is very kind and attentive and takes care great care of the guests. I would definitely return!

Savannah S.

Yelp
Beautiful room, nice staff. We did not get a park view, but that would've made the stay even better.

Brittany S.

Yelp
The employees here are extremely nice and covid friendly! I really enjoyed my time at the lounge and the food they served!

Joey D.

Yelp
First time staying at this new hotel for the FSU Game Weekend. The rooms are very nice - new and contemporary. Being located on Cascade Park is a bonus. The downside is the hotel is not close to campus or any retail. The Hotel does not have a shuttle so if you don't have a car you will need to rely in Uber. All in all a good experience. (Game weekend prices are really hight at $699.00 a night, plus tax and fees for a single room).

G G.

Yelp
I got in at 1 am and the room I reserved was not available. We were placed in a handicap accessible room which would have been alright if it were cleaned. There was hair and dirt all over the room. However, they offer free breakfast for the inconvenience. I checked out this morning before 10. Around 5pm, I received an additional charge that said Smokefree environment, I called the hotel back and spoke with Genevieve, who advised that the housekeeping staff stated that there was smoking in that room. I said we don't smoke so there is absolutely no way they think we smoked in there. She then said they said there was ash in the bathroom. I put on foundation and setting powder around the bathroom sink, I am brown, there is now way you can mistake that for ash. I asked her if she went to check the room. She stated that they have since cleaned the room. I asked if they insisted that there was smoking in the room, why would they have not had her to come check the room. She said she can only go off of the information they provided. This is unacceptable, someone needs to refund this immediately.

Ami H.

Yelp
We stayed in this hotel while evacuating from a hurricane. The website was misleading, showing pictures of a pool (there wasn't one), free WiFi (it was $5 a day), and pet friendly. When we arrived, distressed from a trip that took five hours more than the GPS said it would due to evacuation traffic, we were told we would be charged a $150 nonrefundable pet fee that I wasn't expecting (I do believe this was on the website, though) as well as $30 a day for parking. The hotel was very small and things like ice machines were not easy to find. We booked through a third party website that included free breakfast and when we got there we were told it was not free, but that we would be charged about $60 for what was advertised as a buffet, but was actually a charcuterie breakfast of lunch meats and cheeses. The hotel was nice, but if you are looking for a friendly, accommodating environment, this is not it.
