At first I found the AC Veracruz to be a bit isolated and “cold”, but my attitude changed. We were upgraded from a mini-suite to a full suite and the only room in the hotel with a bathtub. We had a magnificent view and were on the 1st floor, down the hall from the indoor pool. I liked the fact that the stairway was easily accessible to avoid the elevator when just making a quick trip to the lobby. I don’t typically like malls – but the one next door (3 minute walk) had multiple restaurants, including 3 outside, ranging from ok to very good.|The manager made sure we got our upgrade even though the suite needed an extra treatment after some mosquitos had visited the previous guests. Thank you Lady Lopez!|Now for the not so good – a tiny table on our terrace with only one chair. Overpriced breakfast with a buffet that was not replenished. High standard prices. While the neighborhood was fine, it wasn’t interesting. 5 miles north in the historic center of Veracruz there are numerous abandoned and for-rent apartments and buildings, even overlooking the sea. Veracruz itself is not pretty.||4 stars with an extra star for Mrs. Lopez and our large suite.

stayed here for a night due to having to wait for my luggage to come to the airport. Great customer service, I arrived super early and wanted to go to the mall right next door they let me leave my carry on and backpack there with a tag in the meantime. Bedroom was clean and organized. The only thing is I asked for water to be brought up twice and it took 45 minutes every time. Definitely recommend!

The hotel is fine. I don’t like the location though. It’s in a very busy roundabout. It also doesn’t have a beach (in case that’s what you are looking for).

Bed a bit over used, room have intense smell of mold! There is a sink in the room, feels like shaving in a kitchen! Toilet is small, shower and amenities looks like ibis budget! Very low For a Marriot standard!

This place exceeded my expectations. It was amazing! The staff continued to go above and beyond for us. The ocean view from the room was amazing. The cleaning staff was always so attentive and thorough. It was one of the best places i have ever stayed. The bar staff was great, and the breakfast was delicious. I really cant say enough good things about this hotel.

Staff very friendly and many speak english. Balcony ocean view beautiful and spacious. Walking distance to 2 malls with plenty of food options. This hotel is great for a short hotel stay.|Downsides...on major busy street that never slows down. Both pools ice cold, even at 88° outside not a chance of getting in it. No actual fridge or microwave (only a very small drink chiller that did not get very cold). We ended up buying a cooler to make dinks colder and eventually moved to another hotel with a kitchette since trip was going to be for several weeks.

All travelers looking for a room in Veracruz, DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE. 1. They tried to steal my Gucci bags during my check-out. Staff tried to hide this. 2. The rooms and amenities are below standard, the rate you're paying for this hotel is way too expensive. My main complaint was my terrible experience with customer service. The front desk do not answer the phones, when you ask for items (no matter where you are in the hotel, room, pool, deck, etc.) they don't send them unless you walk all the way down to the front desk, or if you happen to catch the cleaning person. Secondly, the hotel is literally deteriorating. It's right on the beach so you get a lot of salt water and humidity which ruins everything. But this hotel has not taken care of any of the rooms, pools or decks. Every amenity in this hotel is below standard. We even found cockroach eggs in the pool. The pool is so below standard, we complained and the staff admitted that they haven't been able to keep up with the hotel. The rooms had marks all over the walls. The desks and chair looked like it was so old and rusty. You're better off at the Holiday Inn, I highly recommend that you AVOID this hotel at all costs.
