This chalet was in a great location and worked really well for our group of three families. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids had plenty of room to play, and the utilities were all in good working order. The only drawback was the grass, which was dry and not in the best condition, but that’s to be expected in the middle of summer. Overall, it was a lovely stay and a great place for families to spend quality time together.

I booked all the chalets out for my hens in which all the rooms were spacious and clean. The location was amazing with picture perfect views. The chalets were well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Definitely planning on coming back here for a quick get away.

2024 Christmas in Chalet One. Excellent chalet. Very quiet location and close enough to beach and Margret river centre. New amenities, easy to find, new bathrooms. Lots of toilet paper, lots of dish washer tablets, bin bags etc. clean, great wifi connection. We will come back again.

I live in Perth, Western Australia and have stayed in Margaret River many times, this is hands down the worst accommodation I’ve ever experienced. Unless you are absolutely desperate for accommodation, and willing to pay 4 star for 2 star standard, I strongly recommend you keep looking. The Acacia Chalets will disappoint. Their photos must be many years old as I would best describe the Chalet as being in a state of neglect. Essential services didn’t work. Wifi was non existent, the TV didn’t work at all. Several key items were missing from the kitchen. The chalet was clean and tidy on the surface but the attention to detail was lacking. Worst of all, the place was full of spiders and cobwebs in every room inside. I killed a baby spider running on the bed sheet next to my face, and saw another running over the bed cover the next night. I didn’t sleep very well with 1 eye open thereafter. Australian spider bites can make you quite unwell. We couldn’t sit out side on the furniture as they too were covered in cobwebs too. The gutters were sprouting, carpets stained, the place needs more attention to bring it back up to standard. Spoke to the host several times about the issues, he did nothing! Gave rehearsed responses blaming anything other than himself. We were disappointed, has been a real shame as it negatively affected our holiday. The overall standard of Acacia Chalet is poor.

We recently stayed at the Acacia Chalets in Chalet 4. The location was nice and the chalet itself was nice on arrival but we did have a few issues during our stay. Upon arrival we had no idea which chalet we were staying in. My partner rang and spoke to the owner who then bluntly gave us the info. Our first impressions of the chalet were great, super spacious and a lovely area surrounding it. Within ten minutes of being there I noticed that between the two arm chairs in the lounge room there was a deceased bird… Yep you read that right. A dead bird was in the lounge room. This was quite upsetting to our group and we took it outside to bury it. Who knows how long the bird had been trapped in the chalet?? That night we wanted to head into Margaret River. As we were leaving we realised the main sliding door doesn’t lock (it was unlocked on arrival), we spent a good 30 minutes trying to lock the door as we didn’t want to leave the chalet unlocked with all of our belongings in there as there are multiple chalets on the property and other people staying there. My partner had tried contacting the owners but we got no reply and ended up having to use the handle of a cob web broom to place into the sliding door as a security measure for our entire stay. During our stay we noticed there was bird poo on the tv and even on the kitchen taps. I don’t know when the cleaners were actually last in for a bird to have been dead and poo to be all over the place. The chalet did smell a bit damp but honestly that was the least of my concerns. It’s been over two weeks since our stay and we did email the owners about our concerns straight after our stay but as we didn’t get a reply we thought it would be best to leave a review. Owners please get your cleaners to thoroughly check the chalets before locking up to prevent more wildlife deaths and also maybe work on your customer service as a reply to our concerns would’ve been validating and get the lock fixed on the door for security as it was quite bothering to constantly be worrying about the safety of our belongings and your property. *Editing review due to response from owner* “The cleaners were back the following morning but were told by guests that they were not needed.” This did not happen.. We stayed Friday night through to Sunday and had NO contact from anyone associated with the accommodation the entire time and did not see any cleaners throughout our stay.

Thank you Acacia Chalets! Acacia is much quieter and away from two busy roads Caves Road and Wallcliffe Road so it truly offers a nature and tranquility experience. It definitely pays to check your accommodation and where they might be situated before booking somewhere if you are after a city escape. The chalet was spacious, clean, modern, and located near a dam with its own walking trails, rainwater, and abundant wildlife. Thank you, Acacia Chalets, for your amazing service and accommodation. I will definitely stay again.
