Very nice comfortable place with everything needed for a great quiet vacation. The rooftop area offers a beautiful 360° view from ocean to mountains. Have stayed here two separate occasions & will continue to if available.

Awesome place to stay. Cute ginger cat right outside our door :) good and clean place, and good location. Plus, a rooftop lounge sort of place. However, we booked for 4 but received a room that barely fits 3. When I reached out, they asked us to have our teenagers sleep together on the sofa that does not even fit one. Refrigerator was malfunctioning and froze all our groceries (did not put it in the freezer). Contacted manager through email and did not hear back. With some care and customer service this place would be great. In the current state I can only give 2 stars. as it was very inconvenient.

This place was perfect! We got the apartment with 2 queen beds (room 5). Isabel the host was in great communication with us. The apartment provided beach towels and beach chairs which was so helpful. There was A.C. in the room which drowned out the noise of the dogs and chickens. The rooms were super clean and well kept. The view from the rooftop was stunning. It is a short 10 minute walk down to the main street of restaurants (Malecon). We walked back in the dark a couple times with our daughter and felt safe. This place felt like home away from home.

Clean and comfortable. Just the right amount of simplicity and amenities for carefree travelers. The location is just a few blocks from the Esperanza Boardwalk and all of the restaurants. It is about a 15-20 minute scooter ride to the beautiful beaches in the south-central part of the island. Great stay, great value.

The first room we had didn’t have curtains on either door and you could see inside the bedroom from the front door, no curtains on the door by the bathroom either, so no privacy it also came with a broken bed leg. She knew it was broken, when we had to bring it to her attention she told us “Oh! Yes you need to push the frame up to the metal plank in the bottom corner close to the wall where the fan remote is” and “ I’m sorry I had a guest apparently jump up and down on the bed the other day and we fixed it with the black cone until the new frame comes. But I’ve tested it and it was solid! Let me know if you got it on top of the metal on that corner” there was a temporary leg but it was a few inches shorter than the rest and the “metal plank” was also broken at the fasteners, definitely not solid. Regardless no guest should EVER have to fix anything broken in their room on their vacation! After we told her that it wasn’t fixable she said said “Ok well is gonna take me about 30 minutes to get the other room ready. I’ll text u”. At 7:50pm we brought it to her attention and at 8:45pm we finally got the text that it was ready. The 2nd room was also a huge disappointment, the shower was held by a bungee cord, the toilet had a foam seat that had been cut leaving the foam exposed, very unsanitary! The drywall was left unpainted, there was a hole in the bedroom wall and scuff marks on all the walls, the towels also had multiple burrs stuck to them, both rooms had very uncomfortable beds. The gate is held together by a bungee cord, fix the lock! I could go on. I read reviews from 2016 and a year ago saying this place needs “TLC” and there was no shades on the doors and it’s still very true as of late March 2018. There was a type of shade over the entrance door in the 2nd room and it was see through from the outside, we tested it at night and in the morning. Both rooms had a very chemical smell to them when we first got there we had to air them out. The air conditioner unit was too small for both rooms and they were loud and looked dirty and old. I live in Rincón and have traveled all over Puerto Rico and this is by far the most disappointing place I’ve stayed. Vieques is wonderful and I highly recommend going, but staying somewhere else.

Acacia Guesthouse is in a great location especially if you don't have a car. You can walk to the Malecon with many restaurants, Sun beach, and the grocery store. The property is clean and Isabel is friendly. However, I have a couple of suggestions: there should be enough dishes and cutlery for the guest capacity, and because of the sea air things rust relatively quickly; some of the cooking utensils were rusted so we didn't use them; also, one of the blankets had holes in it. I mention this as a former property manager, as these little things should not be overlooked. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and I recommend it.

We had a great experience. The place was beautiful and very close to the main market. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It felt like home. Got a change to meet Isabel, very friendly to talk with. Will surely return here in my next trip.

Stayed here for one night to go on a mosquito bay tour. Basic but sufficient accomodations. Place felt fairly clean. Easy walk to Esperanza.

Yelp
This house was very cute and quaint. We stayed there just overnight but it was just what we needed. The main strip was a 10 minute walk away (although I wouldn't recommend walking around there at night...too many wild horses, dogs, and few street lights. The place was clean, well air conditioned, and they even had a book nook which I appreciated. My only complaint was that I wish they left out a few more supplies since we left alot of our stuff in the car on the main island. We didn't have enough towels nor did we have enough washcloths. The free wifi was also basically unusable. It connected but didn't worked for us. Everything else was good and i would recommend this place to other people if you're staying overnight like we did.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were in Puerto Rico for 7 days and had spent 2 nights at Acacia Guesthouse on Isla Vieques. It was the best accommodations we've had on our trip. Acacia Guesthouse was located in a quiet neigborhood in Esperanza (the south side of Isla Vieques). It was about 3 blocks from the beach and a string of waterfront restaurants. The super friendly proprietors, Douglas and Jose, greeted us at the gate as our "publico" arrived. The accommodation was SUPER CLEAN and airy. Our Favorite Amenities - The 1 bedroom guest suite came with a galley kitchen, complete with a full size refridgerator and blender to make your favorite tropic drinks. - Although the bedroom came with air conditioning, the tradewinds combined with ceiling fans were perfectly sufficient. Actually, the lack of noise from a runnning AC had really allowed us to experience the tranquil vibe of the island. - Access to laundry facilities and clothes lines was very convenient after a day of play. - Lovely and well maintained garden and terraces exuded the pride of the establishment. My boyfriend said it best as the tropical breeze lulled us into an afternoon nap, "It feels like home."

Yelp
This house is beautiful. We stayed in the penthouse. There is a gorgeous roof deck, French doors, a line outside to hang wet clothes, and a little outdoor spout to wash sand off of your feet. Inside the apartment is spotless, with attention to detail. The decor is minimal but perfect. Stocked kitchen, beach chairs, plenty of clean towels. The owner, Jose, is delightful. Negatives - the shower is either freezing or boiling hot, so you have to keep adjusting. Not a biggie. Also be prepared to be awakened early by roosters, dogs, birds, etc...but that's par for the course in Vieques! Oh yeah, there are ceiling fans throughout that are awesome - but because of the location there is also a delightful natural breeze.

Yelp
My friend and I stayed at this lovely little guest house in Sept 2011 located in a nice quiet neighborhood. The owner, Douglas, was so helpful and knowledgeable about the island and things to do. He even went out of his way to drive us to one of our activities and then picked us up when it was cancelled. The home is spotlessly clean and had a wonderful little backyard with a patio and seating and a place to have a BBQ. We enjoyed our morning coffee there. Additionally, the front entrance to our unit was a nice little tropical paradise. Pros: Quiet location, clean accommodations, and a friendly, accommodating manager. (Douglas) Cons: As we were not near the downtown area and it was off season, we did not have much in the way of choices for food. Many stores were closed so breakfast was an issue. No shower curtain. We stayed in the only unit with 2 beds and since we were not a "couple" privacy was more important. Recommendations for Douglas: Hammock in the back to enjoy this tropical paradise. Provide breakfast or at least some coffee and pastries. Provide a shower curtain. We would certainly recommend this to our friends and family and would stay again.

Yelp
Beautiful place. The owner Douglas was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms are super clean and they feel like a home. I definitely recommend it.
