Academy Sports + Outdoors

I love going to this place. I could spend hours and hours, just looking at fishing and kayak stuff. Lots to choose from, have every sport. You could possibly think of covered and the staff is relatively knowledgeable. Would recommend making sure you know what you're going in for as they have a lot to choose from. And the prices are very reasonable.

One of the most poorly run locations. Always issues with inventory they verify is there...but isnt. Employees rude and lazy. Prices and quality are not good enough to keep shopping here. I will stick to Bass Pro. Im done eith Academy.

Love this store. They have a great variety of sports equipment and shoes, plus the workers that hang up clothes and restock are really friendly. The lady at the customer service desk late at night is NOT friendly and hates her job, but it's still a great store otherwise.

I have slowly stopped going to any academy's. Figured i would give it one last try. It definitely was the last time I'll go to any academy. Much rather go to bass pro.

Today I was able to find great deals while shopping for superbowl. I wasn’t happy with how the cashier treated me in reference to my bag setting off the sensors . I stood in line for roughly 7-8 minutes and witnessed 3-4 bags set the sensors off. Those customers came from two different cashiers and they were waived out the door as if it was no problem. It happened to me as well but I came back to have it checked and she searched every item i purchased as well as made comments like this bag is good so it must be something else . It felt to me as if she was insinuating I had something else in my possession. I didn’t like how that made me feel and I’m debating in returning my items . She then repeated this bag is clear but oh well …

Walked in this morning to purchase a firearm, I was discriminated against because the my age and the color of my skin. The firearm clerk questioned me on why I was purchasing guns, who was I purchasing guns for, and why did I need 2. He did not want to proceed and sell me the guns. He asked for my identification card and looked at it as if it was fake. My ID edge has a chip on it (not affecting any information or barcodes) he proceeds and says I can not use this id to purchase the firearms. I stated I will go get my passport and he says you cannot use that either. I confronted him about discriminating and profiling me and they refused the gun sale and kicked me out the store. Will also be filing a civil rights complaint against this store and the employees involved.

I have become a sports mom now and this place has everything I need. Being raised by a single mom with only sisters, I know nothing about boy's sports equipment. But this store has it all labeled! Even the cleats are sorted by sports and size!!! And the baseball pants are cheap to boot!! Thank you Academy Sports! I will be returning!

Where selling a coke is more important than selling two bikes two helmets and two sets of knee pads. Great customer service for the person who might have wanted the 2 dollar Coke. Really poor management choices will go elsewhere.

I really like academy over Dicks and others, much better pricing and I notice if I watch the deals they really deliver.

Located in St Peters Mo. busy shopping mall strip. Store well lit , open and spacious. Exercise equipment, bikes , shoes, clothes etc available. Gift cards for purchase. Items are never available in all sizes. Whatever you see you better grab it, there is no coming back. Prices varies depending on style and brands. Curbside is available. Staff is friendly and helpful . Dressing rooms are open and available!

A current version of a Sports Authority or any of the other now closed sporting goods stores. Hey, on-line shopping has not been kind to brick and mortar stores......so if you want to actually hold that bat, try on that glove or swing that fishing rod....shop here before it's gone too!

This is my favorite sporting goods store for things I'm interested in. A very large selection in each section of the store. All the brand names you know are represented. I think their prices are on the low end of most of their competition. My only complaint is in the bicycle section. They only have brands you've never heard of and cheap bikes. Nothing for intermediate and advanced riders. The inexpensive bikes they have don't look like they are great quality. So they sell higher end, better quality items in other sections of the store. Why sell below average bikes? Other than that I am pleased Academy came to St. Peters MO.

The worst. Ordered a product online, paid for, shipping confirmation. Apparently they can't count. They cancelled my order with no explanation. Try to get hold of customer service. Near impossible.

I was at an Academy Sports and Outdoors on 5214 I-70 North Outer Rd. in Saint Peters, MO 63376. I saw a revolver on sale for 119 dollars. The original price is 199 dollars. I was a little skeptical and asked a sales associate why the price was that low. He said "We have a Christmas sale." He then made fun of my question by talking with another sales associate by telling him that I asked the question, even though the sign is saying on sale. While I was filling out the paper work for buying the gun, he made a comment about a blonde customer that walked by the counter. I didn't remember exactly what his comment was about the girl, but his manner was unprofessional. I'll never set foot in the store again or buy anything from this store online again.

We liked the sales available on tax free weekend. Great clearance section too! Though we were quite disappointed with the availability of high quality softball equipment. We definitely will not go back when we need softball stuff.

my sister worked for this place for almost 2 years. they had some shoes for $170 that they intended to mark down im assuming a little bit. they changed the price to $10 and put them out on the shelves. My sister comes in and buys all of them. They text her (dont even have the decency or balls to say it in person) that she has to bring them back or else she'd be fired. She said how can you do that you couldn't tell a customer they had to return them, i bought them for what you rang them up for? they were going to fire her after they did this big department move, which of course they put all of the work on the young employees, and they were talking to all of the employees behind her back letting everyone know they were going to fire her to the point that she found out, so she quit. very unfortunate story that i thought should be told :D think about this when looking for your first/next job :) have a good day
