Acadia Yurts & Wellness Center

My husband and I just returned from a week-long trip to Acadia National Park. The park is incredible, with the most amazing hiking trails, kayaking, and biking routes!!! Staying at Acadia Yurts and Wellness Center was also a highlight of the trip. Karen and Aaron are amazing hosts-- very organized, welcoming, and responsive!!! The yurts are beautifully designed and contain everything you could need for glamping in the woods!!! Yoga classes and the infrared sauna at their Wellness Center were both perfect for relaxing and restoring at the end of a very busy, very beautiful vacation :).

Stayed three nights in the Precipice Tiny Home with a girlfriend of mine. The tiny home was spotless upon arrival and we both loved the high ceilings. Great layout for two people. Loved having coffee out front in the mornings. I’ve been coming to this area for 20 years and I would definitely recommend this property - it’s nice and quiet - amazing sleeps oh and the rain shower head was so nice that I took down the brand!

We just finished our trip to Acadia Yurts and it was nothing short of spectacular! Our pet-friendly yurt was cozy, clean, and quaint. The spacious yurt provided more than enough room for 2 adults and 2 dogs. Aaron and Karen were helpful, friendly, and provided awesome recommendations during our stay. We will be sure to return and enjoy even more of what Acadia has to offer!

I just returned home from a week-long stay at Acadia Yurts and it was magical. It has been on my bucket list for years to both visit Acadia National Park and to stay in a yurt for the first time, so it was absolutely perfect! Got to tick both things off! Staying in the yurt was definitely the highlight of my trip! I loved EVERYTHING about it! The yurts are spacious, clean, cozy and well-maintained with everything you could need and more! A fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, steaming hot shower, super comfy queen bed, Wi-Fi, and a heat pump providing both heat and AC. Not a single detail overlooked. The thoughtful attention to detail that went into designing the yurts brought an extra layer of warmth and comfort. The location on the quiet side of the island was perfect. Only a 20-30 min drive from Acadia and Bar Harbor and everything I wanted to see and do. The best part was returning home each night after a full day of exploring Acadia because the adventure didn’t stop there! The adventure continues because the yurts are such a fun, cool, unique and almost otherworldly place to stay! All the magic of a little house nestled in the woods! Aaron and Karen were fantastic hosts! Literally the nicest people ever! I was so glad I had the chance to chat with them and get to know them a bit. They live right next door and are always happy to help if you ever should need anything or answer any questions you might have. They’ll always go above and beyond to make you feel at home and make sure you get the full experience! I would recommend to absolutely anyone who would want to take a trip to Acadia National Park and experience just that little extra touch of adventure! I loved every second of my stay and didn’t want it to end. Already dreaming about when I can come back someday!

Staying at the Acadia Yurts was one of the highlights of our trip to Acadia. The Yurts are spacious, clean, well designed, and came with literally everything we needed for our visit. The bed and couches were extremely comfortable. The yurts sit on a beautiful piece of forested property and made us feel very close to nature throughout our stay. We were even able to charge our EV overnight at an outdoor outlet on site. Karen and Aaron were extremely responsive to our questions before and during our stay and went above and beyond to make our trip perfect. During the first night of our stay, a major storm knocked out power to most of the greater Acadia / Mount Desert Island region and by 7 am they already had emergency breakfast/coffee, and a generator running in their wellness center, allowing their guests to start their day without a hitch. These Yurts are a no brainier if you are planning a trip to Acadia with a car. If you opportunity to book a Yurt here, consider yourself lucky!

Another successful trip (our third) to Acadia Yurts for my husband, pups, and me. It is great to have such a comfortable space that accommodates our dogs in such a perfect location. The yurts allow us to be close to nature without sacrificing the amenities we love- heat, a/c, hot water, among others! The location is close to our favorite dog friendly Acadia trails- Wonderland & Ship Harbor (both recommendations of the hosts, Karen & Aaron) and some great coffee shops- Milargo & Clark Point. They are also just a 10-minute drive to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse where you can catch a gorgeous sunrise!

We were excited to stay at the Acadia Yurts, something we have never done before. When we arrived, everything about this place was more than we expected! It is in a quiet part of DMI surrounded by Acadia NP. The yurts are maintained wonderfully well by Karen and Aaron! The warmth and beauty this place exudes definitely begins with them 🥰 one of my favorite places is up on the North Shore in Minnesota on Lake Superior – I call that place sacred. This is another place I would call sacred! I HIGHLY recommend staying at Acadia Yurts! Totally loving our trip!

Each time we have stayed at Acadia Yurts we have found the yurts to be extremely clean, well stocked with essentials and furnished so attractively. The grounds are so inviting and you have a good sense of privacy even though you there are other yurts and tiny houses around. Aaron and Karen are wonderful and their knowledge of the area is amazing. We feel that staying in the yurts was by far the best accommodations we have had over the many years of traveling. This past visit we brought our dog and he loved it. And there is no telling the difference between a pet friendly yurt and the other yurts. It was truly a most wonderful and memorable vacation.
