Beautifully Delicious! A great little Mexican restaurant in Belfast that offers a fantastic menu that really feels as authentic as it’s theme. The food is fantastic, service is excellent and the portion sizes are enough to feed a family. They offered left over takeaway for us for what we couldn’t finish which we thought was a brilliant touch and really gives you tremendous value for money!

Google
Absolutely loved it. Huge portions, so tasty and great service with friendly staff. Accommodated non-alcoholic cocktails easily and dietary requirements. Went mid week so was quiet but nice atmosphere.

Tacos are amazing! Don't let the size fool you, they're incredibly filling. The cocktails are delicious and the service is quick. Highly recommend! Best to book a table though, it's a small restaurant and always busy.

Google
We live it here, we go for special occasions and when family and friends are over. Food is so good and full of flavor. Bext Mexican place out and best restaurant in Belfast.

Google
Excellent quality food at a keen price - I am strictly coeliac and the gluten free options were both tasty and carefully prepared to avoid contamination. Staff were polite and attentive. Hard to fault in any way really, and especially at this price.

Google
Food was delicious and service was great, all the staff were very friendly. First time going after hearing good reviews from friends, I can easily say that I'll be back very soon.

I'd wanted to try Acapulco for some time and it was well worth it. Food was delicious. I particularly recommend the deep fried ice cream, one of the best desserts I've ever tasted.

Google
I wanted to try chimichangas but couldn't find them in other Mexican restaurants. The chimichanga was very nice, it comes with rice, I didn't like it. The guacamole was kind of plain, not much flavor. For Mexican food I thought it was expensive. The place and the staff are very nice, it was a pleasant meal.

Yelp
Incredible food here. Acapulco is the best place for Mexican food, hands down! Been here twice. The staff are amazingly helpful; the place is really warm and friendly; the food is tremendous! I got a 'Chimichanga', which is basically a fried burrito. It probably was the best burrito I have ever had. I got shredded annatto pork in mine, with the hot sauce (which isn't really hot, it's just the right kind of hot). Pure beaut! If you are in the mood for a burrito, check out these guys. Don't just take my word for it, they won the title of 'Best burrito in Belfast' in the mouthing-off series of events that Yelp held.

Yelp
I must update my review to five stars after today's experience! I visited Acapulco today around 1pm and the restaurant was bunged, at first when I walked in I was unsure if I'd get a table. The extremely helpful waiter allowed myself and a friend to sit on a table set for four! The waiter was impeccable throughout, promptly taking our order and ensuring everything was ok! The food was excellent, one of the best burritos I have ever had. Although the portion was huge it was so tasty that I could not stop eating. Today I went for a chilli beef burrito (medium). The burritos come with a healthy serving of salad and a few nachos! The whole set up is great - seats around 30 people and service is fast enough for you to grab some great food on your lunch break!

Yelp
I got a Buritto from the take-away Acapulco a few weeks ago and it was delicious! The take-away area is round the side of the restaurant and serves the same food as the restaurant in speedy time. I ordered a chicken burrito with rice, spicy salsa, cheese, sour cream and jalapenos - all for £5! The burrito was huge so i didn't need to order any sides. Looking forward to having a sit down meal in the restaurant.

Yelp
I was here last week for the Yelp burrito off and I have to say I was extremely impressed. I hadn't heard of Acapulco until then and I will definitely be returning. The resteraunt is beautifully decorated inside with lovely painted wooden Mexican style chairs, amazing big lampshades, comfy tables and chairs and funky music playing in the background. The atmosphere was perfect! The burrito we tried from Acapulco was amazing, the rice and meat were cooked perfectly. I loved the dressing that was on top of the burrito. It was delicious. There is a great range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. I will definitely be going back here soon.

Yelp
To my genuine shock I've just realised I've not yet reviewed Acapulco. Not sure how I let this one slip through the cracks as this is my 'local' - I work down the road and Acapulco is within walking distance, so this would be a fairly regular haunt for me, I couldn't even begin to put a number on how many times I've been!! The Upper Newtownards Road is a fairly good spot in Belfast for food, but Acapulco is my number one. Generally I have the Nachos Todos or a burrito. You'd probably think that Nachos would be more of a starter, but you'd be wrong, I struggle to finish it despite how good it is! It is a plate of nachos, covered in melted cheese, spring onions, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, jalapenos, and loads of chilli beef. Heaven on a plate! They do their burritos slightly differently which I love - I have the chilli beef with rice and beans, with the sour cream and guacamole on top of the burrito instead of inside it. Much nicer!! I have also had the quesadilla from Acapulco, which again was delicious! Oh, and don't forget to try their frozen margaritas!

Yelp
I can't believe I am actually writing this as Acapulco is my fave mexican place but the last take away I got a couple of weeks ago was a real let down. I went for the pork burrito which I've had a few times before which was always great. This time however a few bites in I found a bit of what I assume was bone. Then as I ventured tentatively to take another few bites I came across a big chuck of fat!!! It was so gross! Needless to say I couldn't enjoy the rest so it was binned :-( sob. I've still give 3* as I'm hoping this was just a one off incident and the flavours were still good. This will probably put me off going back for a while and next time I reckon I'll stick with a trusty chilli con carne burrito instead.

Yelp
So impressed with the food here! It really was amazing! This busy little restaurant had helpful and friendly staff and we didn't have to wait too long for food. I had a chimichanga (deep fried burrito) with chicken and paired with the verde (medium) sauce and washed down with the mango jarrito. I couldn't believe how tasty it all was, easily the best burrito I've ever eaten! I would say this is the best Mexican in Belfast! Everyone should definitely check it out! Yum yum!

Yelp
Amazing flavoured beef. My Flautas where a bit too spicy for me at points. I don't temper it sating about spice in the description. Nice mood setting lighting. Hard to relax and have conversations. It's quite noisy.

Yelp
Close contender to Boojum. There should be a Mexican wrestling match between the two. Great produce, quality awesome, quantity generous. The seating isn't the best but forgiven. Food on Joe

Yelp
After attending the Yelp mouthing off event a few colleagues mentioned how great the burritos looked so planned a little lunchtime outing for one who was going on maternity leave. I enjoyed the winning burrito so much I decided to try it again and it certainly did not disappoint, everyone I was with enjoyed their burritos too including the one who had never had one before and didn't eat "funny foreign food". Next time I'll be trying other items on the very affordable menu

Yelp
Really enjoyed a recent dinner here despite some hit and miss dishes. Acapulco is small but has a lively, colourful atmosphere. The restaurant was busy when we walked in but the friendly staff were able to quickly squeeze us in. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. The duck tostado starter was the highlight of the meal. Flavourful shredded duck with a zingy blackberry sauce and guacamole. The shredded pork tacos were also delicious but had a frankly stingy amount of goats cheese. The chicken flautas were generously portioned and very tasty. For dessert I would really recommend the deep friend ice cream. It comes coated in a sweet, chewy crumb and served with butterscotch sauce. I loved this dish. Sadly my friend's churros weren't properly cooked and raw in the middle. I can't fault the service, the staff were friendly, attentive and quick to bring me some more goats cheese when I pointed out how little we were served. Portion sizes are good and the prices are really reasonable. Four starters, a mains, two desserts and two drinks came to roughly £40.

Yelp
If you fancy a little Mexican spice in your day it is worth the 10 minute (in a car) trip up to the buzzing suburb of Ballyhackamore. Relaxed and casual with super colourful chairs (random fact) this small restaurant really packs a punch. So much for the New Year's resolutions, I popped in for lunch at the weekend and boy was it good. Sometimes in a Mexican it can feel like their salsas are more packet-from-Tesco than packs-a-punch. Not so here, with lovely fresh flavours. I was trying to be good, but if a Chimichanga is on offer, who am I to say no! Spicy yet creamy it really hit the spot, and although we definitely didn't need them, the sweet potato fries on the side were a treat. It can be easy to add things like soured cream and cheese, but you really don't need them as they come with plenty. Again not that I needed it but was being greedy, I can never say no to their Churros either. Made fresh, they were kind enough to do mine without cinnamon (which spoils everything it touches spice-wise in my opinion) and when dipped in the warming chocolate I was really reluctant to share. Best Mexican in town!

Yelp
First time here at Acapulco and the place was excellent, clean, funky and had a really good atmosphere about it, the staff and the boss where very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, was there for the burrito off and there was one clear winner and it happened to be from Acapulco itself and it honestly was probably the best burrito I've ever had!!! And I've a good few lol from the presentation to the taste and freshness of the ingredients it was perfect I will definitely be back and recommend Acapulco! Well done Acapulco!

Cat J.

Yelp
I am a big fan of this place and visit as much as I can. I would go as far to say it is my favourite spot in Ballyhackamore. Fantastic food and great atmosphere. My personal favourite is the chimichanga with pork but you have a choice of meat or vegetarian. I haven't had room to try the desserts on any of my visits but they all sound delicious and the prices are very reasonable.

Amy G.

Yelp
Acapulco is a fancier Mexican place, and from where I'm from the best Mexican is cheap and dirty. When our party of three arrived on Sunday evening we had to wait 10-15 min for a table to clear. I got the vegetarian chili and the primary flavor was tomato sauce. However, it tasted clean and fresh which was what I was craving after a large fry that morning. I would come here if you care about plating, ambiance, and service, but not for the best Mexican food.

Yelp
went here for dinner and few drinks!! Those margaritas will blow your mind!! Huge and delicious!! There is a dish for all taste buds!! Portion sizes are huge! I must say the food was delicious! Definately come back

Yelp
Just attended an event here and I'm very impressed, worthy winner of the burrito off and look forward to eating here again. Little local gem . Child friendly restaurant, keep up the good work!

Yelp
It's great to have another mexican restaurant in Belfast and in 'Ballysnackamore' as they call it. Good if you fancy a change from the usual chinese/indian/asian cuisine. Nice little restaurant and handy takeaway

Diane M.

Yelp
I was here for the burrito off and this was my first visit. The decor is lovely with that lovely Mexican vibe without being over the top. The burrito that they made was definitely my favourite and cant wait to try out more food on the menu. There is a take away at the side and burritos are approx £5 each and very good value.

Lauren M.

Yelp
Lovely honest Mexican food! Portion sizes are great for a much! Margaritas are lovely! Good menu and all round a fun place to eat!

Jesse M.

Yelp
If you're hungry for Mexican this is the place to go! Generous servings. Staff was very pleasant.

Vicki F.

Yelp
Best Mexican food in Belfast, bar none! Great service, great atmosphere and amazing margaritas, seriously, they are great.

Martin M.

Yelp
Good range of Mexican food with takeaway option on the side that offers a good alternative to the very popular boojum the slow cooked beef is delicious and would recommend. I prefer to sit in and they have a lot more different options. I have gotten a deliveroo from here but I would recommend you collect yourself nachos arrived soft and soggy and the rest of the food was a mess
