This is the best art school in Firenze! I took a master course with which I could take all the classes of the school. The teachers are all so nice, skilled and helpful, and also the atmosphere of the school is very comfortable. I could improve my skills with their advises and have made many artworks. Also there are many students from all over the world who are fond of art and it was also very nice to meet these kind of fellows here. The memories spent here are now precious to me.

I had two very pleasant experiences taking sculpting courses, even brought a friend to take a course together. Both my courses were 2 weeks. I was given a lot of freedom with what I wanted to work on, and the teacher was able to give very specific feedback despite needing to switch between different students. All other staff were also always very helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back if I do another stay in Florence.

Absolutely amazing! The structure of the school is very well thought out and as a student you can truly feel how the staff are invested in creating genuine opportunities for growth and development. The teachers are absolutely wonderful in each subject, and the administration are genuinely interested in doing what they can to create a positive experience for all of their students. There is a perfect balance of striving for technical excellence and also personal expression and discovery. I was in the master program at AD’A, and I know learned more in the last year than I have in all of my years of previous study. It was a unique and valuable experience that I HIGHLY recommend to anyone that wants to learn. 🎨⭐️

I took a 2 week egg tempera course this summer and I loved every minute. Our instructor introduced the medium and showed us how to grind it, then we started to create our piece. They check on your every session then set you off with your piece. They are very approachable so if you need help they are always happy to assist. You will work on the same piece and have a work of art to take home. It’s my first time working with egg tempera so I loved every minute. I’d recommend that you have some painting experience with this course in particular. It’s a really relaxing studio with great vibes. It’s definitely not a tourist scam as other reviews say, just don’t expect to be showed every brushstroke every second, this is about exploring your techniques and working on a piece with guidance from the amazing instructors. Studying art in ADA has been one of the most significant experiences of my life. Teachers are highly skilled artists and very committed to their students, which come from all around the world. Patricio, the director and all the staff made my time in ADA unforgettably beautiful. My etching classes with Sonia de Franceschi were a wonderful space, full of knowledge and special moments. She is truly an admirable teacher and human being. Her classes were an incredible mix of ancient and contemporary techniques and I feel lucky to have had her as a teacher.

Absolutely felt like a scam. I decided to sign up for a summer course after reading their website and what they offer. What I experienced was nothing like what they make it seem like online. There is absolutely no structure, the teachers are young, inexperienced, and don’t pay attention to you. I decided to walk out of class after sitting there for 45 minutes without an assignment in front of me. I even went up to the teacher letting her know that I needed something to do and she told me to wait. Waste of my time and money. Teachers do not TEACH anything, you have to have your own skill set which you simply just practice there and then flag down a teacher if you have a question. I felt like I could have done that at home, I paid money to learn from professionals, not to practice the skills I came in with. Oh and they don’t even provide any materials. So you have to pay money to practice there with your own skills and your own materials. Like ???? Horrible experience, I wish there were more reviews before I signed up for it. So here is me telling you to stay away. :)u

It’s an ok school, they won’t teach you much if you just started. The administration is great and very helpful. They adopted to my schedule. Teachers are nice but too many students and few teachers, so they’re not helpful. Not the place if your looking to learn techniques. They’ll let you practice what you know with as much little direction they would give. I wish I put more time to read the reviews carefully before investing in come to it. There’re a lot of options for art school in Florence, make sure you look them up.

I'm thrilled! I took the drawing course taught by a very talented and very italian teacher. The teacher has individually set the levels with the students so that everyone could develop in their own way. We mainly portrayed people, sometimes with a sculpture, sometimes with a nude model. During this time I learned much better to draw proportionally and to emphasize details with light and shadow. The school is located in an authentic little street near the cathedral, it enchanted me to learn there. I can only recommend it!
