What a great spot! My boyfriend and I got a room last minute and it was very affordable, clean, welcoming, and ended up being the perfect spot for the night. We both agree we'd love to go back some time and explore different parts of Gloucester. The owner who checked us in was so kind and she was very helpful- even brought us right to our door and showed us how to access our balcony space. We had a great view of the marina, the room was fully stocked with toiletries and it was just what we needed for a quick get-away.

Cutest rustic spot in a little artsy fartsy village with lobsta rolls about 10 skips and one small jump away. Great views and lots to explore nearby. Quiet neighborhood.

Room #2 was spare but functional. We asked for two pillows to supplement the two thin ones provided. There was one bedside table with a lamp, and no luggage rack so our suitcase was on the floor. No AC in this room, but there was a fan. We could hear the people in the room above us. Gloucester restaurants were busy and parking difficult to find. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance, but we didn't discover this right away.

Definitely recommend this hotel! Adorable rooms. The front desk ladies were so sweet and accommodating. Very clean and well kept. The sunrise and the view was to die for over looking the water and all the boats. Really nothing bad about this hotel and amazing prices. I would say the walls are a bit thin and we had a very disruptive couple above us but other than that. It was amazing!!

First off- I have never stayed at a more charming, lovely, stunning area in my life! It is definitely an older building, with older appliances and whatnot. If you’re expecting a high end experience just go to Beauport. This place in my opinion took the cake compared to the former. The area is so charming with the spectacular view of the harbors, all the walkable art galleries with a great history, and rooms with a beautiful view. I can’t stop swooning over the perfection of the whole experience and how comfortable of a stay we had. The rooms got a little cold at night but they have space heaters. The water pressure in the shower is not great, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The accommodations had its own kitchen which was useful. It’s a really quiet spot so just make sure you’re being respectful at all hours.

My husband and I spent the night at Rocky Neck Accommodations and we were very impressed! We felt comfortable and welcomed. The area was gorgeous and peaceful. The room was so cute and had everything we needed and we ate at their sweet little ice cream shop. This is the perfect little get away and the owner Mona was delightful! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I recently shared several days here. While the rooms are okay, and the mattresses are only slightly comfortable, The view and the accommodations generally are great. Mona worked with us on our dates and our accommodations and made sure that we had a great view from our room. We sat on the small balcony and watch the ships come in and out in the mornings and at night and that was what we were there for. We didn't go there to sit in the room so we really didn't care. It was also centrally located in the arts district so depending upon the time of year, you may enjoy a whole lot of arts. We highly recommend this as a great place to use as a central staging location where you can have quiet mornings and evenings after a day of visiting and viewing.

We had stayed here about 5 years ago with our children and had a nice time. We thought it would be nice to go again, just my husband and I. On our last night there, our fire alarm kept going off for no reason. We were sleeping and don’t even smoke. The owners had to come up a few times and each time we were made to feel badly, as if we were doing something wrong. This went on for almost 3 hours before they finally disabled the alarm. Needless to say, we had a VERY poor night’s sleep and had a long day of travel the next day. We were not offered an apology or any type of compensation and will not be returning. So disappointing.

Yelp
Fabulous place for a summer vacation stay! Rooms are rustic but clean and provide a fabulous view of Rocky Neck Harbour. All efficiencies have private designated deck space. Walk to art galleries, restaurants, and public beach (Niles Beach) is just down the street. Mike and Mona and Brandon are amazing and provide help and information on anything you need.

Yelp
This is such a great place to stay! We had room #6 on the first floor. The room was very clean and included a kitchenette. Though we never used it cause we're on vacation. I'm not cooking and cleaning on vacation. Had a great view of the water with a deck right on the water. There's also a dock with two Adirondack chairs on it that were never occupied. The location is great with some great eateries within easy walking distance. The Studio has some yummy fresh seafood and is right on the water. This was not a super touristy area compared to the other side of the bay. Definitely less busy and a beautiful place to stay.

Yelp
My husband & spent two very hot nights at Rocky neck I didn't think I had to ask when booking if they had air conditioning in 2023. They supplied us with a box fan that did not help one bit.the rooms were not clean luckily, I carry Lysol wipes. We found lots of black hair in and around our bathroom. The view, however, was beautiful. We did sit outside most of the night to cool off. My fault I guess for assuming there was air-conditioning.

Yelp
Stayed with a friend that was there. Wonderful views, wonderful rooms, wonderful and thoughtful owners. Book in advance. Great location central to the artist spaces, near beaches and the studio restaurant. Adjacent ice cream spot has great moose tracks.

Yelp
I stayed here for three nights. It was reasonably priced and right on Smith Cove in Gloucester. Very nice and quiet in an artist colony. It is on a dock over the water. I took the less expensive choice of an efficiency than the Suites. I had a kitchenette with a dorm style fridge and stove with a full bath and bedroom. Along with a private deck up above. It's all I needed. There is no house keeping but the office will take care of any request of clean towels or what not, other than that it couldn't of been better. Mona the owner was very nice and helpful. There is a communal gas grill for all to share. Coffee was served outside every morning. I will say that being in an artist colony it's abundant with diverse people that I personally found to be extremely nice, especially the gallery owners that chatted with us. Don't leave Gloucester without exploring or staying in Rocky Neck.

Yelp
Loved this place!! The room was not very big and didn't have air conditioning but it had a large deck right on the harbor. It was a beautiful sight!! The owners were such nice people! We will be back again!!

Yelp
Just wanted to give Rocky Neck Accommodations and Mona a big shout out. My husband and I stayed a couple nights last week and were very impressed with the room we stayed in, overlooking the bay. Mona was very friendly and accommodating (no pun intended). If you get the chance to go to Gloucester I recommend Rocky Neck Accommodations and Capt. Bills Whale Watching a lot of fun! Thank you

Yelp
The location is great, let me start by saying this...it is right on the water, and they have a parking lot for guests to use, which is very convenient. Once we got into the room, I was immediately disappointed - although it was posted as "quaint"; I would describe it more as dirty. The bed linens and bathroom had long black hairs everywhere, and I did not feel comfortable walking on the dingy carpet without shoes on. After the first night, we called the number given to us for housekeeping and extra towels; where we were told they do not come to clean the room, and they do not give extra towels - to top it off, they make you walk down the dirty towels you have each morning to exchange them for new ones. I was not expecting a 4 star experience, but I was expecting the cleanliness of at least a typical mom and pop motel (similar to that of a local bed and breakfast). I would not recommend this to anyone, and definitely will not stay here again - I guess this would be why there was only two rooms occupied on July 4th weekend!!

Yelp
End of season shouldn't mean "end of cleaning". Found hairs in shower .....You can hear every word other people are saying even if you talk in a normal voice. People above us woke up very early and didn't care that others were in the inn below them. We did like the restaurants in the area though and galleries .

Yelp
I loved our stay. We were a group of artists taking classes and it was a fabulous location for sketching and painting, even from our scenic decks and terraces. It was nice having the convenience of a full kitchen. There were enough pots, pans, dishes and utensils to make whatever meals we wanted to have without going out to restaurant. This truly is more of an efficiency apartment rather than a hotel, but fresh towels and linens were readily available. There was ample parking for those who had cars, including a free parking lot. We were walking distance to a wonderful cove. Mona and Mike supplied us with beach towels, chairs and a beach umbrella to use on our outings. Thank you for providing a great experience.

Yelp
This hotel is an excellent option for an extended stay on Rocky Neck, and its location and rooms are wonderful. We have stayed here twice, and both times the room was absolutely spotless, clean and great-smelling. Linens were ample, and the bed was comfortable and well-appointed, and the kitchen area had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The waterfront room we had, complete with deck on the harbor, was perfect. If you are expecting the amenities of a high-end chain hotel, you will be disappointed, but this place is as real and local as it gets, and it makes for a very pleasant time in Gloucester.
