It is what it is. If you’re looking for 5 star luxury and attention this is probably not the hotel for you. On the other hand, the location is excellent - roughly halfway between Garrison (for Pebble Beach) and St Lawrence Gap (excellent bars restaurants and nightlife). It is right on the beach with ‘free’ loungers and umbrellas both on the beach and around the pools. On the main St Lawrence to Bridgetown Road there are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance - St Lawrence Gap is an easy 20 to 30 min walk. Our room was well appointed with kettle and filter coffee machine. It was clean and well de orated and the bed was huge clean and comfortable but the real star was the view - right out over the beach to the azure Caribbean. Fantastic. Can’t comment on the food and drinks because we ate out for all our meals and drinks - sampling the many restaurants within easy walking distance. Housekeeping staff are very friendly. Front desk not particularly welcoming, or, it appears, very efficient although several were being ‘trained’. Recommended for location beach and views. It’s just not 5 star service. But if you plan to eat out and sample local life and nightlife, it has everything you need.

Dated hotel & amenities Got water was luke warm in the morning Toiletries only replenished once during 10 night stay Tea, coffee & milk in room not replaced during our stay Taste of Caribbean evening advertised with live music but no music during evening. Pacifiki restaurant only open Mon & wed Swim up bar only open from Friday of Holiday No evening entertainment Music around hotel hit & miss, 1/2 hour of recorded music from pool bar if lucky We didn't see any attention to the Pools regarding cleaning or checking of chlorine levels One of the advertised waterfalls in pools not working at all, the other one on the small pool worked intermittently Internal walls patched up after work needing doing, ill fitting room doors needed to be slammed to close them. No welcome pack in room giving details of events, found out by accident of local artists selling their goods at the hotel one night. No details of excursions available were offered Asked housekeeping why towels haven't been changed & told that we don't have enough to change everyone's today. Definitely not a 4 star hotel but 2 star Convenient base location for eating out, if you are happy for somewhere just to 'get your head down' The best things about the hotel are the great beach it's on and as a base for getting out & about.

We really enjoyed our stay at Accra. The location is great being close to a lot of restaurants/bars/shopping. Beach is amazing, soft white sands and enough waves to keep you entertained in the water with a boogie board or body surfing. Nice pool with a mini grotto and shallow in one area for kiddo’s. Adult pool only available as well but it’s not very inviting and doesn’t connect to the swim up bar. Bar by the beach is popular with guests and locals during happy hour 4-6 but it’s pretty boring otherwise…definitely needs music playing while it’s open which would keep much more of a crowd around. The pool swim up bar also lacks any kind of entertainment or personality. The bar by the front desk just opened days before we left but they don’t have a happy hour for some reason…so walk the 1 minute to the other bar by the beach for half price drinks 4-6. Not a single ice machine for guests was working. If you wanted ice you had to ask staff to get it from their utility room. Breakfast buffet was ok, nothing spectacular. Get a good coffee across the road. Didn’t bother with any dinner here as too many other good spots around. Front desk was great but had some disagreements on a few charges at the end that were completely unnecessary so check your bill when you leave. Management coward behind the door by the front desk and had the desk staff deliver bad news. Left a bad taste at the end of 10 days and thousands of dollars spent for them to squeeze an extra bit of money out (less than $100). Wasn’t worth the effort then as we were trying to leave for airport. Overall, would recommend to stay here for its rooms/views/beach/location/staff.

I stayed at Accra Hotel last year for a week in May 2025. I of course paid all my nights before the end of my stay. 7 months later, I was charged an additional 330 USD by the hotel on my card, without any explanation or email. On the phone, I was told they need to investigate and that « it will take some time ». No apologies, no sense of urgency, rather questioning if I am telling the truth.

Terrible hotel, no hot water for over a week so far, staff have no idea what's going on, some staff rude. Housekeeping are amazing. Hotel needs condemning and rebuilding.

BED BUGS & GOT SCAMMED The hotel charged me twice for my payment and blamed it on bad service so a 3 day stay which would normally be £500 turned out to be over £1000 with the reception lady being rude and dismissive claiming my card had declined each time she charged me.The room was fine but the bed was disgusting with stains on the sheets and immediately as we got into bed we started itching as we believe there was bed bugs in our bed. I will be requesting a refund

Don't make my mistake: read the comments. The pictures are .....misleading. The hotel might have looked like this when it saw better days. There are so many unnecessary rules for a vacation stay. (Return the pool towels at check out. You'll save so much time and thank me later). As per their website, they have numerous restaurants and bars. In reality, 1 of each. Other so-called restaurants are being rented for events: graduation, birthdays, and weddings. So, walking around the elegant looking crowd while in flip flops and a towel is normal. Plenty of people working there, but the only person paying attention to you at the reception would be Rachel. The same goes for breakfast: when you enter the breakfast hall there will be at least 5 people on the front desk, and no one will tell you where to sit or the difference between "continnental" breakfast and the full one. Trust me, there is a difference, learned hard way, thinking that our breakfast was included. Not a big deal in terms of money, but it's a good thing to let people know before they enter the facility. The food is delicious, though, and the waiter was extremely polite and nice. Rooms, well, there are plenty of other comments about them. The management really struggles to keep up. The great thing about the hotel is the beach. Beautiful views with clear water, tiny little crabs - amazing. But again, the hotel has so much stuff, but I didn't see at least one person who would try to clean it from trash. To sum up: it might have been my expectation that didn't meet the reality. And if you are like me who is looking for everything to be in one place, so you don't have to worry about anything - keep searching. However, if all you need is a beautiful beach, shower, and bed, then that might be the place. P.s. if the hotel "fun" is too much, there is an amazing tiki bar at the end of the beach.

Not a 4-5* hotel. Stayed here in August 2025, firstly I will start off with the pro’s because, this hotel location is amazing. Lovely private beach, close to loads of food places, easy to get into Bridgetown and St Lawrence Gap, plus loads of lovely local beaches. The rooms are nice and clean, and the bed was comfy, fresh linen every day and a fantastic fridge I could keep drinks and my babies food in. There’s an array of shops across the road, mini mart selling water for $1 which is $5 in the hotel (Bajan dollars). Super handy. And the air con in the room was great. Here are the negatives: - Pool wasn’t the cleanest - Pool bar only open 2 hours per day - Food in hotel is not nice - Hotel is used for events and conferences so very very busy on certain days and impossible to get peace and quiet - Staff not proactively trying to speak to hotel guests about noise - Nothing for children to do but claims to be child friendly - Reception is always busy yet there’s only ever 1 person working there - Cot for baby was rock hard and I had to pad it out with blankets and towels - Pool never closes so there are people having parties at 11pm in the pool whilst my baby was trying to sleep (you could hear through the balcony door) And to finish off, my biggest complaint and why I would never be returning: There are kids that have swimming contests from other islands that stay here every year and the adult to child ratio is pretty much 50 kids to 2 or 3 adults. It was extremely annoying during the day trying to have my baby nap with the noise but the worst thing and what ruined my stay was at 1am one of the kids kicked our room door, so hard that the lock cap came off the handle, and it woke my baby up who was then screaming for 2 hours. We were up all night. So distressing. And we complained about it, not much compassion just offered all inclusive for 2 days to make up for it but the food wasn’t nice so only ate there once. Would have rather not had it and have the children removed from the hotel for disrespecting other guests. Their “responsible” adult didn’t give a toss. So it’s no wonder they behaved like that. More to the point, why does the hotel accommodate such parties when they come every year and ruin it for other guests? Even if we didn’t have a 7 month old baby, I wouldn’t want to stay here again.
