Stanley visits the Gran Deposito Aceto Balsamico di Giuseppe Giusti, the oldest balsamic vinegar producer in Italy. Established since 1605, it produces some of the best balsamic vinegar in the world - rightfully nicknamed "Black Gold".

Absolutely outstanding tour, really interesting history, method of creating the balsamic vinegar, tour of the barrels and the tasting. Tasting was great, we tasted so many different products and the staff were great at recommending products based on how you intend to use it, and how to pair it with different foods. All products were very reasonably priced and we purchased 2x 100ml bottles to take home. Very handy size for carry on luggage. We got the train to quattro ville and walked about 10/15 minutes along a very quiet road to reach the museum

This is a must see if you are in or around Modena. The tour was very interesting and educational. The staff was friendly and super helpful. The tasting was amazing and very generous! We got to try all the expensive vinegars, the traditional and flavored ones as well. Excellent experience!

We had a great experience here learning all about balsamic vinegar and how it is made, followed by a tasting. Who would have thought that it can be hundreds of years old?! And the difference between proper aged balsamic and more regular stuff - chalk and cheese. So worthwhile.

This is one of the must do places. The produce is amazing but if it’s your first time the tour in the factory for the balsamic vinegar is very entertaining. This was my second time and we purchased several bottles as this balsamic is the best I have ever tasted

One of the oldest or possibly the oldest Modena vinegar producers. Multiple gold medal winner for various iterations of the vinegar. Part of the intangible cultural heritage. Very very tasty and and detailed and guided tastings plus a very beautiful museum and Cellars. The process of Modena vinegar making is well explained . They still do the traditional method of distilling and ageing. The aroma in the Cellars is mouthwatering

Visiting Acetaia Giusti was an unforgettable experience. The cellar tour was fascinating, and the vinegar tasting was excellent. The staff was friendly, and the space is rich in history. They also have a shop where you can purchase their products – from various types of balsamic vinegar to gift sets. I highly recommend this visit to anyone wanting to experience authentic Modenese tradition.

Super fun tour and got to learn about the long history of the Giusti family. Fun to be able to taste all the different variations as well. Must come and see when in Modena! Beautiful grounds too to just relax and walk around in after a drive.

Learning about the history of balsamic, feeling the environment it is being produced, and tasting different versions of it… This was a great experience! I really appreciated the free guided tour of the museum. I booked it one day before and everything went so smoothly. I think this is a must-do thing if you are visiting Modena. Highly recommended!
