Stanley visits the Gran Deposito Aceto Balsamico di Giuseppe Giusti, the oldest balsamic vinegar producer in Italy. Established since 1605, it produces some of the best balsamic vinegar in the world - rightfully nicknamed "Black Gold".

We were a group of nine friends, and we loved our visit. Our guide shared the story of how Aceto has evolved since the 17th century, along with the production process, different types, and more. It was such an informative and exciting tour that I highly recommend it to everyone. At the end, we enjoyed the degustazione, which was wonderful for discovering various flavors and learning how to use each type. They also have a beautiful shop with a wide range of gifts at different prices, so we bought many lovely presents. Congratulations to the Giusti family for organizing this wonderful tour.

Incredibly impressed with this museum. Our tour guide was very thorough. The museum and the tour was also short, but compact! Afterwards we got to enjoy tasting each of their products. The tour guide also gave great pairing recommendations for each of the medallions. I left gaining a newfound appreciation for balsamic vinegar and the town of Modena.

One of the best museums dedicated to culinary delicacies. The displays are beautifully curated and feel truly world-class — you can sense the love and pride passed down through generations of the Giusti family. A remarkable piece of Italian heritage. You’re free to walk around at your own pace or join a guided tour, and everything is clearly explained in English. Don’t miss the balsamic tasting at the shop — it’s excellent.

Really enjoyed the tour at Giusti. I had no idea of the process behind making this product and now I do. Great tour guide in Maria for this 'free' tour with tasting. I'd definitely recommend it.

We booked on the same day in Bologna and took the train to visit - absolutely worth it! The staff kindly guided just the two of us through the tour with great care and attention. We were deeply impressed by the warmth of the Giusti team, their rich history, and the beautiful facilities. An exceptional experience from start to finish!! 🙏

Wonderful tour at Acetaia Giusti! They offer a free tour of the facility (must reserve in advance) that ends with balsamic vinegar tasting of around 10-15 different varieties. Everything was delicious so we wound up buying 3 bottles to bring home. Really enjoyed it. ❤️

Really interesting tour and tasting. The guide was professional, knowledgeable, and very kind. It’s amazing to see the tradition, taste, smell and learn so much about it The tasting was so nice (and delicious) but also very informative. We bought a few bottles because, well…how can you not 😁 Highly recommended tour and really close by to 4 Madonne for a beautiful cheese tour

We had an awesome time! Our guide, we can’t remember her name, but she is from Colombia, was so knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. She took pride in the product she was representing and it shows. We loved every minute and would recommend this FREE tour to anyone looking for a great tour. The museum is very cool, the story of how this establishment came about was super interesting and the balsamic tasting was absolutely delicious!
