Honestly on the drive there I was thinking what have I done to come all this way as well as my mouth hanging open at the terrain. Incredible. Then the moment I arrived at the hostel it was totally worth it, even just for one night though I immediately wished I was there for a week. The silence, the small number of people, the cute house, the views, sunset, walks etc. All have to be experienced. Go!!

If you think, the world has come to an end here at the parking lot you are mistaken. You descend 500 yards down the hill on a scrubby trail to find the hostel overlooking various bays and islands. The view from the terrace is breathtaking.|The main house, mostly wooden, offers bedrooms (dormitories) divided only by curtains and sanitary facilities outside the building. Everything is in clean and tidy condition, the kitchen and common room offer cozyness and what you need to prepare your meals, free coffee included.|The landlord is very friendly and helpfull and makes you feel comfortable. Of course, the entire premises is no luxury residence, but you get compensated by an outstanding location in the wilderness. The room rates reflect this specific location.

We have stayed in an attached camping pod before so knew what to expect. A small but incedibly well designed space. So warm and comfotable. Has the benefit of being self-contained BUT you have access to the hostel facilties. Stunning views of coast and mountains.|Access is my a 5 minute walk down a bumpy tack (|using a wheelbarow). This really adds to the sense of adventure and remoteness but could be a problem for some people.

It is a little out the way and there is a 300m walk from the carpark to the hostel over uneven ground. The view is well worth it! The hostel is very clean with a great little kitchen and common area. I would have loved to have stayed longer and seen more of the area!

If you crave a bit of peace and enjoy wilderness then come here. The location was totally awesome! we had a pod (with our own loo and shower) which sat just behind the hostel and next to flowing stream which ran to the coast which was beautiful. Ruth is a great host and went out of her way to support and keep guests informed. Please note her message re access, the last part of the drive to the location was mostly single track with passing places, then you walk to the hotel from the carpark. Thank you for the wheelbarrows! we defiantly make use of those and then a narrow bridge to the building. The hostel had a kitchen with cookers and microwave and every piece of crockery and utensil needed! The pods also had crockery and a microwave. Buy food and drinks before you come....but do come!

great place to stop. The small house has everything, including a heated floor. Beautiful view of the cliffs and the flowing ocean, along the way down you can reach a wild beach. I just don't recommend taking heavy suitcases because you have to walk a bit from the parking lot. There are wheelbarrows available in the parking lot to transport your luggage. For us it was additional good entertainment.

Cosy, comfortable and spotless pods in one of my fav ourite places in the world. Spectacular scenery in well equiped accommodation with great communication from Ruth. The 300 metre walk down to the pod makes it all the better. No cars in proximity. My partner who has mobility issues managed the walk no problem( it was dry though). Perfect get away.
