Had to cancel my order at this hotel. The cancellation was handled really fast without any issues, five stars for quick and smooth service.

I stayed in a Maisonette apartment. It was clean with thoughtful details throughout. For example, there were plenty of places to hang towels in the bathroom, the kitchenette had all the basic necessities with even a little knob to hang the kitchen towel, and there were two new outdoor chairs for the balcony. I also really appreciated how quiet the room was. For the negatives, the room itself was quite old. The chairs in the living room should be reupholstered since they were cracked and flaking off. Also, a more comfortable chair would be welcome in the living room. The lack of AC was unfortunate given the high heat levels one day, but I know this isn’t a simple fix with how German buildings are designed. I did not have breakfast or use a car, so I can’t comment on the breakfast or parking situations.

What a dreadful, depressing, outdated, sad place this is. Unfortunately we were booked in this hotel by our guest organisation, because otherwise it would never has been our choice to begin with. It was hot, and we were given a room in the attic, without a fan – despite the reception telling us each room would have a fan. Since the reception is all the way down and with a different entry, after an overheated day and already half undone, we could not go down to get a fan; besides, it would not have made much of a difference, comfort wise, since the noise would be a bit much. Karlsruhe city noise is, with windows open, also quite difficult to sleep with. Why on earth the beds are in the semi-floor all the way up in the attic and not in the slightly cooler room ‘downstairs’ is a mystery to me. Who would want to work at that sad little desk? Anyway, not happy at all. And don’t get me started on ‘breakfast’. We were booked for two nights, left after one.

This is a classic hotel, very basic! However, it offers actually exactly we need for a pleasant stay! My room offers even a small kitchen, so if you plan to stay for a longer time we can even cook yourself. Breakfast is also good but unfortunately I had only normal cafe (no cappuccino).

I stayed here for a week in a single room. The room had a small kitchen corner (with enough pots and pans, microwave, plates glasses etc) und a tiny but very clean bathroom. The shower had an excellent water pressure. Although it was in the basement it had a small “balcony” area. The hotel is good value for money and if you are willing to accept a few hints that it is not newest place you’re going to be quite comfortable with the basic standard of the place. The staff on reception during the day are very polite and friendly. The breakfast room is small and also not the newest but the breakfast is absolutely ok and a good start to the day. I would defiantly stay here again if I need to stay in Karlsruhe. It’s an easy ten minute train from the main station and then a five minute walk. Within 200m there is a wash shop and a supermarket!

II stayed during August. Apartment building with small residential units (and lift). Each unit include a very small kitchenette without ventilation. Cooking smells and suffocation in the corridors. A very small shower with a bathtub that is not safe to get in and out of. Rooms without air conditioning, therefore in the summer months it is very hot. Cleanliness is fine. Very outdated and worn furniture. Single bed in most rooms. Central location in the city. Underground parking with a closed gate. Some of the rooms include balconies (back rooms). WIFI not stable. Definitely I’ll not come back to this place.

Hello, I have stay in this hotel in 2 rooms for 3 days early this month may 2024. They charged me 30euros for late check out for the two rooms, but they made me pay 15euros more for late check out for one room, and made us leave from one of the rooms. moreover the kitchen's equipement was not working in one of the rooms, thanks we had two rooms and we had to cook in one room for all of the attendees. beside all these cons and guts, when i came back to paris and i paid attention about the invoice, and then i mentioned them the équipement was not working, so i need a commercial gesture for that and a refund back of the 30euros for no reason. they keep arguing and going back and forth and they haven't pay back at least the 30euros for almost 4 weeks now

Two stars for the accommodation itself, quaint little apartment with kitchen and comfortable bed. But reception is so stringent. They asked for our birthday and said it’s German policy even though no other hotel in Germany has asked for it. Then another person at reception felt the need to point out that our credit card is not signed. I didn’t know that was their business. Very much sticklers.

Yelp
OK, this hotel is a local hotel with both rooms to rent and they have apts also. It is a typical European type hotel (not an American chain). The room is about 1/2 size of my bedroom and the shower was barely big enough to turn around. Oh yea, it had a one person patio with a chair. My biggest complaint is they have no Air Conditioning and it was in the high 80s. They did not even have a ceiling fan or a small fan to "loan" me. For those of you not familiar with hotels in Europe, they typically are very small and have limited amenities such as face towels, hair dryer, iron, ect. They did have a small microwave, TV, heating pad and refrigerator so that was positive. They do serve breakfast, but it is extra, and it is similar to a Holiday Inn Express breakfast. They have free internet, which worked fine. I got to the hotel at 11:30 and they would not let me check in early. With the jet lag, I had to walk around the town for 3 hours before I could check in. It is in a local community so there are restaurants and even a grocery store within one block of the hotel. From the train station it costs about 10 Euros. It was OK but not my type of hotel.
