It was a good stay for one month. The staffs are nice except some staffs, clean hotel, good breakfast, very decent according to the price, have overall construction or upgradation work throughout weeks, a little bit noisy for that. But it was good overall. Btw they will charge you security deposit of 10 euro for fan in summer, and city tax 3.5 euro per night.

Had to cancel my order at this hotel. The cancellation was handled really fast without any issues, five stars for quick and smooth service.

I stayed in a Maisonette apartment. It was clean with thoughtful details throughout. For example, there were plenty of places to hang towels in the bathroom, the kitchenette had all the basic necessities with even a little knob to hang the kitchen towel, and there were two new outdoor chairs for the balcony. I also really appreciated how quiet the room was. For the negatives, the room itself was quite old. The chairs in the living room should be reupholstered since they were cracked and flaking off. Also, a more comfortable chair would be welcome in the living room. The lack of AC was unfortunate given the high heat levels one day, but I know this isn’t a simple fix with how German buildings are designed. I did not have breakfast or use a car, so I can’t comment on the breakfast or parking situations.

What a dreadful, depressing, outdated, sad place this is. Unfortunately we were booked in this hotel by our guest organisation, because otherwise it would never has been our choice to begin with. It was hot, and we were given a room in the attic, without a fan – despite the reception telling us each room would have a fan. Since the reception is all the way down and with a different entry, after an overheated day and already half undone, we could not go down to get a fan; besides, it would not have made much of a difference, comfort wise, since the noise would be a bit much. Karlsruhe city noise is, with windows open, also quite difficult to sleep with. Why on earth the beds are in the semi-floor all the way up in the attic and not in the slightly cooler room ‘downstairs’ is a mystery to me. Who would want to work at that sad little desk? Anyway, not happy at all. And don’t get me started on ‘breakfast’. We were booked for two nights, left after one.

This is a old fashioned split level apartment. The bedroom is upstairs, accessible by a half staircase which may be difficult to manage for elderly people or those with limited mobility. Even for the sprightly care must be taken when descending in the night, eg to go to the bathroom. Otherwise the bedroom is nice, with a tv and a skylight. Downstairs the half-staircase ends in the little hallway with suitcase rack, a tiny bathroom with a tiny shower (old german style), and a small kitchenette with microwave and two hobs and refrigerator. The provided crockery and pots were clean and everything worked ok. The front room is a small sitting room with tv, two rather worn (with peeling plastic covers) chairs, and two tables. There was also a very small balcony with two plastic chairs. So everything was there, it was just a bit old fashioned and some things were a bit worn. Overall however it was clean and functional.

I spent there only one night but everything was great! The check in and check out was quick and easy, friendly staff and a clean room. Everything as described, quiet neighbourhood.

This is a classic hotel, very basic! However, it offers actually exactly we need for a pleasant stay! My room offers even a small kitchen, so if you plan to stay for a longer time we can even cook yourself. Breakfast is also good but unfortunately I had only normal cafe (no cappuccino).

I stayed here for a week in a single room. The room had a small kitchen corner (with enough pots and pans, microwave, plates glasses etc) und a tiny but very clean bathroom. The shower had an excellent water pressure. Although it was in the basement it had a small “balcony” area. The hotel is good value for money and if you are willing to accept a few hints that it is not newest place you’re going to be quite comfortable with the basic standard of the place. The staff on reception during the day are very polite and friendly. The breakfast room is small and also not the newest but the breakfast is absolutely ok and a good start to the day. I would defiantly stay here again if I need to stay in Karlsruhe. It’s an easy ten minute train from the main station and then a five minute walk. Within 200m there is a wash shop and a supermarket!

Yelp
OK, this hotel is a local hotel with both rooms to rent and they have apts also. It is a typical European type hotel (not an American chain). The room is about 1/2 size of my bedroom and the shower was barely big enough to turn around. Oh yea, it had a one person patio with a chair. My biggest complaint is they have no Air Conditioning and it was in the high 80s. They did not even have a ceiling fan or a small fan to "loan" me. For those of you not familiar with hotels in Europe, they typically are very small and have limited amenities such as face towels, hair dryer, iron, ect. They did have a small microwave, TV, heating pad and refrigerator so that was positive. They do serve breakfast, but it is extra, and it is similar to a Holiday Inn Express breakfast. They have free internet, which worked fine. I got to the hotel at 11:30 and they would not let me check in early. With the jet lag, I had to walk around the town for 3 hours before I could check in. It is in a local community so there are restaurants and even a grocery store within one block of the hotel. From the train station it costs about 10 Euros. It was OK but not my type of hotel.
