Location is outside of the city centre, but walking distance into town. There are also busses or around £7 for a taxi. The room I had was facing the road, thus there where some constant traffic noise. I did not have the best of sleep during my three nights. It's simple, but have everything you need. Cleaning could have been slightly better. There where some spots that would have been very easy to clean, but have never been cleaned, like the outlet in the roof.

A great place. The studio flat is cosy, very comfortable and convenient with everything you need. The staff are extremely friendly, accessible and helpful. The location is right in the middle of so many places. Very easy to get to just by walking and right near bus stops aswell. 5 stars

My husband and I traveled to Oxford this Christmas and enjoyed a lovely stay at the Acorn Guest House. The room had a nice king bed and an updated en-suite. The room had a beautiful big window for lots of natural light! Jessie was so wonderful with a very Covid friendly checking and out process! The location was an easy bus right to city center with a beautiful bread and coffee shoo close by! ||We will definitely return during the summer to enjoy the countryside of England!

My mum and I had one night at Acorn Guest House in July 2021 and could’ve stayed for much longer! We had the twin room on the 3rd floor, which had everything we could’ve asked for - extra details like tea/coffee in the room was also much appreciated. The shared kitchen area also had all the essentials you would need. The room was very clean, quiet and Kate was a great host - always on hand to answer any questions and kindly allowed us to use the parking pre-checkin. The number 3 bus stop is only a 2 minute walk away which gets you into town in less than 10 minutes, though the walk into town was just as easy! Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Thanks again!

Excellent stay at the Acorn Guest House! The Covid friendly easy check in and out is essential. Our room had a nice big bed and updated on suite! The room has a electric tea and coffee table with a little refrigerator. We were so happy that it’s convenient to our daughters place and a quick bus to the city center! We highly suggest The Acorn Guest House and we will return to stay at this lovely guest house! Thank you Jessie

Lovely cosy place. The bus into town stops just outside and takes about 10 minutes to the city centre and runs regularly. The friendly owner told us about a nice walk by the river into the city centre too but it was a bit too chilly in February for that! The room has tea, coffee, biscuits and hot chocolate which was a nice little extra. The room was clean and cosy. Breakfast was bread, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juice, tea/ coffee. There is also a lovely dog called Annie. Would definately stay again if returning to Oxford. Thank you!

It was great to have a triple room at a very reasonable price. The hotel was very clean and the hosts extremely friendly. The location was good, an easy walk into the centre of Oxford (about 20 minutes) and we were able to park the car at the hotel when we arrived early in the morning, which saved having to pay for parking in the centre. Although the room faced the main road, we weren’t disturbed by the traffic noise throughout the night as the curtains were so thick! Everything we needed was provided in the room, the mini fridge was very useful and the added refreshments were a lovely additional touch. Due to the current circumstances, we weren’t able to have breakfast at the hotel but we had brought our own food to eat in the room. Unfortunately we missed the little slip of paper with the WiFi code on in the entrance, so weren’t able to connect to the WiFi. It might be a good idea to put a slip of paper with the password on in each of the rooms too! Overall, a great property, especially for the price and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Oxford!

A lovely place to stay if you are visiting Oxford. We booked direct by phone and got the last available room, which was classed as their economy room. We loved it and felt very at home there. Being an economy room it didn't have an ensuite bathroom but it was not a problem and it was pointed out to us when we booked. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the breakfast. Everything in the guest house was spotlessly clean and fresh looking. We will definitely book there again if we go back to Oxford!
