Acorn Pub & Eatery at Oak Mountain

We have been meeting friends at the Acorn Pub for years and are so thankful for the friendliness and service we always find there. We had burgers and salads there last night and the temperature in the pub was incredibly cold. Everyone at the bar had on their outdoor coats and hats and the diners at most of the tables as well. We have never encountered this before and hope it was a one night problem. We love skiing at Oak Mountain and are so thankful you are in our community!

Good food! Great service! The service was very friendly. This is a great place to take a food break between skiing, snow tubing or snow boarding! I highly recommend this place to get a bite to eat!

Food is excellent each and every time. I’ve had a burger, tacos and calzone that I can recall. (Not all at once) each and every time the food was excellent. Warning: no special requests. Do not try to substitute, or ask for something to be changed. It is strictly not allowed. It’s tough love but it is worth it.

Delicious local spot. Good food and stuff the people are all really friendly. It's open all year long and the restaurant is inside of the ski lodge. Our waitress was really friendly and everyone seemed like a local and lots of people knew each other.

The best restaurant in the Speculator area! Food was top notch and the home made desserts are to die for! We had chocolate mousse dessert with chocolate chip cookies, it was so rich and thick.

Had the fish fry and it was quite good. The coating was a bit thick for my liking but the inside fish was nice and flaky. The hamburgers were a hit with the kids. Clam chowder was very good. The chef they have is from Martha's Vineyard. Good food! They are NOT open on Saturdays.

Perhaps the epitome of mediocrity. Folks were friendly and vibes were warm and busy, but the food was flavorless. Almost everything came out cold, and the fries were limp. My order didn't include multiple parts as described in the menu -- missing avocado :(. Pickle was soggy too. "Taco sauce" seems to be their tomato sauce. Bean water was troublingly similar to the water one finds in the can. To their favor though, there are two options of cheese for your burger. Really was a fine restaurant though.

Never had a bad meal! Mexican night is good. The specials are delicious. Hardly miss going Friday nights for fish. The wait staff are amazing!

A local gem!!! The staff is amazing and the food is delicious. It is a very popular restaurant with the locals, as I kept hearing current customers making future reservations as they left and many phone calls for reservations. They have a set menu, but also daily specials. I recommend eating here if you are in the area.

Great place to eat after skiing. Despite the Yelp review saying the place is closed it was open and even more they had a live band performing there. The staff is very nice and friendly. And the food tasted ok.

Food was great and the service just as good, applaud the chef for the great food and presentation. A hidden gem of great food in a small city.

Went here a couple of times. The tacos are really good, and the clam chowder. The rest of the food was just okay, but service was really good. Our waitress was so nice. If I'm in the area, I would come back.

Excellent burgers, salads, wings, entees and local brews on tap. Much better than the average ski lodge food. A must if your skiing, but even if not, worth a visit if you're in Speculator, probably the best meal in town

I had the fried fish which was generously portioned and fresh. Wife had the smoked gouda quiche which was OK. Order the fish on Friday and you will be pleased. Restaurant is at a ski resort so we were initially worried about quality but many locals recommended it and we were happy with the choice.

We have been coming up to Speculator for the past 5 years and tonight we have had the best meal ever! We started off with fresh hand-breaded calamari which was better than any NYC restaurant. I had the baked fish special and my husband had the seafood fra diablo. All the seafood was extremely fresh as the waitress informed us the chef gets it in from Boston. I highly recommend dining at Acorn Inn when in the area. It's hands down the best restaurant in town! The flavors are amazing and the service was great too! Keep up the good work Chef!!

This has got to be the best place to eat in town. Had the fried cod it was awesome. Beers on tap and friendly staff. My vacation home is about ten feet away so I will be back all the time.

Food was good, nothing particularly special and nothing horrible. Service was also friendly, not great, not bad. But it's like the tables are set up in a high school gym. Ambience? There just isn't any.

Best food, drink, and service in town. Stop by you won't regret it. Definitely the best pizza in town as well.

Honestly some of the dankest food north of the Hudson. They are nice as hell and when me and my girl said we were splitting a black bean burger they gave us two small burgers which was basically a meal in itself. They also accommadated our weird food requests when we went off menu. Great place plus the wings are a must

Great simple Mexican/Adirondack food in a roadhouse bar within a ski lodge. Owners and staff very friendly and welcoming.
