ACOYA Curacao Resort, Villas & Spa

We had a GREAT stay at Acoya for 1 week in December 2025. They provide free shuttle to the Mambo Beach, food shopping and Punda (downtown). The restaurant La Lagoon Bar & Restaurant is very good. However, example if ordering a Burger everything is a la carte for sides such as a french fries. The breakfast at 24$ US we found was quite expensive as you are able to have nice breakfasts at Mambo Beach for cheaper. Especially, if you are traveling from Canada at a loss of minimum 30% on our exchange rate. Someone should maybe look at these prices and adjust even if it's a buffet breakfast. Most people don't need a buffet breakfast each morning. Maybe have a different prices for a regular 1 dish breakfast including coffee and a sweet and some fruits. The people we would like to thank are: Tina and Sunil and at the reception area are: Gladys, Tihainely and Silmara for being professional and so nice to us and helpful duringour 1 week stay. There are so many others that were nice and professional but didn't get all their names (sorry). We will definitely be going back next year, this would be our 3rd time! My heart belongs to Curacao, love, love Curacao ❤️ we can't wait to go back!!! Thank you everyone who made our stay enjoyable, you guys are the ones that made our 1 week perfect. A solid 4 star resort with well maintained grounds, excellent pool and nice relaxing vibe. Restaurant on site has great food and cocktails and the water fountains show every night at 8 is fantastic. We spend a week at the resort in September and were generally pleased with the quality for the price we paid, we had a good time. The room we paid for was a deluxe one which had a balcony with a view of the pool. We were almost on top of the restaurant which meant loud music until 11 every night so the earplugs I had brought were very much put to a good use. The room had a small kitchenette with cupboards with plates, glasses and cutlery and a mini fridge which we appreciated but there was no sink in the space so we had to use the small bathroom sink which was not the best for washing dishes. The bed was generally good and we slept well. The balcony was great for a morning coffee and watching sunsets. Cleaning staff made our room spotless every day. The staff at the resort was a hit and miss. At arrival the woman that greeted us explained nothing of what the resort offers, just checked us in and took us to the room. I had to ask about everything and it was such a missed opportunity to highlight what the resort has to offer. And on some days the staff we interacted with was nicer and kind and we also loved interacting with all the shuttle drivers from the resort so that definitely improved our experience. The pool and cabanas were great, especially at sunset, I particularly enjoyed my evening swims. The little lagoon was great to walk around and we saw many turtles swimming about. The restaurant on site surprisingly had great food and cocktails, we enjoyed everything we ordered and the staff was nice. The only downside was they were short of staff quite frequently and some days we had to wait quite a long time for our food orders even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. We did enjoy all the evening entertainment singers and instrument players were absolutely fantastic, definitely a highlight! The resort is not on the beach but they offer daily shuttle to Mambo Beach so that was convenient. If we wanted to stay longer we just got a taxi back for $20. We generally didn’t use the provided beach club chair at Mambo Beach and instead paid to use Lion’s Dive’s beach chairs by the Chill bar which were $7. That side of Mambo’s beach was better. Mambo beach also offered some great food options. The resort also has a shuttle service to downtown and to a Dutch Supermarket which had everything you can possible want for snacks and sandwiches when we didn’t feel like eating big meals. The shuttle drivers were really nice people. Overall, we had a pleasant visit and great vacation. Curaçao is an amazing island and worth coming back to.

My review is for the Christmas brunch at Acoya, not the resort itself. The resort grounds are beautiful, with lovely landscaping and a nice pool area. However, the Christmas brunch was a 2-star experience. The buffet was advertised to start at 11:00 a.m., but it was about 45 minutes late. The room where the brunch was held was dark, the furniture was old and outdated, and the tables were very small. The food was just okay, nothing memorable. Having to purchase tokens to get drinks was inconvenient and unnecessary. The overall vibe felt more like a retirement home restaurant than a festive holiday brunch. Service was so-so We paid $120 per person, excluding beverages,and for that price, the experience did not meet expectations. We would not come back for brunch and do not recommend their holiday brunch.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Acoya Spa & Wellness. I booked the 60-minute yoga facial, and it was truly one of the most relaxing, rejuvenating treatments I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was calming from the moment I walked in — serene, welcoming, and beautifully designed.||My esthetician was gentle, attentive, and incredibly skilled. The yoga facial itself was amazing: a perfect blend of massage, stretching, and skincare that left my face glowing and my whole body deeply relaxed. I could feel the tension melting away with every movement.||I left feeling refreshed, lifted, and completely renewed. I highly recommend Acoya Spa & Wellness to anyone looking for a peaceful, high-quality spa experience. I can’t wait to go back!

The cleanliness was not good. The sheets were never changed once( I knew because there was a stain that stayed there all week), dust and mold in the room, the dishes in our apartment were left dirty from previous guests, the windows so dirty in the bedroom we couldn't see outside, the sofa had crumbs in the cracks and the cushions smelt bad. The shower had no door which sprayed water all over the bathroom floor. The bed was so hard I woke up in pain most days, and the couch was super uncomfortable too. No TV in the bedroom. The staff is very nonchalant and unhelpful, we had to go ask when we checked in for towels (which are hideous and tiny). The noise in the room was ridiculous. We could hear our neighbors coughing and talking, and the music right outside our room played late into the night. The worst part, we forgot something in our room on checkout, went back for it less then 10 minutes later and it was nowhere to be found! We asked about it and no one could find it. We literally got robbed. The hotel is also outdated and the lobby is very small with ugly furniture. The pool table near the bar was totally scrapped. We had breakfast at the buffet once and it was good, and I liked the pool which had lounge chairs for everyone. They also had nice decorated trees for Christmas. The location was a good place in the city at least, 15 minutes walk to mambo beach and maybe 40 minute to the center (we rented a car from not far so we never walked) there was a bus stop like 5 minute from the resort. We still enjoyed our trip because Curacao is a beautiful country. I would not return to this hotel.

I've been at the Acoya Curaçao Resort, Villas & Spa for an Youth exchange (Music Unites 2025 - The Netherlands, |Curaçao and Romania) this month with an amazing group of people that now I can call them friends.|This place is amazing as well. We could enjoy everything: the pools, nice villas, conference room where we could do our activities and we've met another people with an amazing vibe. After a first time stay for a weekend, it was a great choice! Definitely a solid value, perfect location for my needs to visit family nearby, and the service was solid all around. I'll be staying here again and highly recommended! Special shoutout to the kitchen team at breakfast that took care of me when I got there after breakfast ended. Michael and the rest of the F&B Team was great!

We recently hosted an event at Acoya, in the Punda Room, and the experience exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, the team guided by Shadira and her colleague was attentive, professional, and incredibly supportive. They allowed us to do a full visual and sound check in advance, as well as adjust the seating arrangement to fit our needs. On the day of the event, every detail was taken care of—from sound and technical support to food and overall coordination. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and their dedication truly stood out. If you are planning an event, we can wholeheartedly recommend Acoya as the perfect venue.
