On the Grid : Acqua

"Even though it’s located in one of the oldest spots on Peck Slip, Acqua’s cozy interior feels more like a Tuscan farmhouse, especially when the refreshing summer breezes waft in from the river. The friendly staff is always ready to point you to the freshest seafood and just the right dish for everyone in your party." - Wasabi Rabbit

Great food and very friendly staff. They're eager to give recommendations (and not the most expensive item as I find staff often do) and wine pairings. We had the ravioli (which was a beef filling and truffle oil sauce), the pappardelle with mushrooms and an absolutely fantastic pistachio chocolate souffle, paired with a $38 bottle of Prosecco. The cocktails sound unique and very well imagined but we were too full to try them. I would absolutely come here again!

We had such a wonderful dinner there! First they greet you in Italian...Very pleasant ambiance, soft music, candles... Very attentive staff... And star of the show was Pappardelle al Tartufo aka homemade wholewheat pasta in light mushroom sauce with a touch of truffle oil ... It was so light and tasty!!! Selection of wine was good as well! I would go there in any given day!!!!

Very disappointing, why the misleading reviews? The only thing good was the service, waiters were very friendly. Starting with ipads I knew it wouldn't be great. The interior has terrible acoustics, having all hard surfaces doesn't support one having a conversation. They started with bread which didnt taste fresh. The bruschetta was okay, but again terrible bread. Then we had chicken, which was nothing special and completely flavorless squid ink pasta. The seafood was overcooked and the sauce has no flavor. We ended with chocolate mousse which we only touched once to try. It was berry buttery and not cold. The wine was good. Adding the price to this is a total disbalance between value and quality. Would not recommend.

Good food and great service. We had a very romantic table next to the window. The food came out quickly. The table had a candle and flowers. The street out front of the building is cobblestone. It is a very nice area.

This is a very nice Italian restaurant. Nice atmosphere, very good service. I recommend this place. I was here for dinner on Friday evening. It was busy, but not overcrowded. Nice light music. Thank you!

Nice place, Italian staff and chef, food is good for the price, but nothing special. Desert for Valentine’s Day was ugly, the cheapest possible, don’t take lamb - it’s more boiled than grilled

The food was amazing and the service was unlike no other. You can tell these guys are like family and they treat you as such also. They were making jokes and having fun all while bringing out some amazing food and taking care of all the customers that were there. This is one of the few places where you can literally eat anything on the menu and your mouth will thank you for it. Great flavors, well prepared meals.no complaints. Our group had a great time and the bar is fully stocked so have fun. Ask about the limoncello you will not regret it...unless you drink too fast lol
