First time eating here. We enjoyed it. The hostess sat us quickly, with it being a Tuesday evening, it really wasn't busy at all. Our waitress was kind and informative. Our food was delicious. I ordered the Blackened Catfish from the special March menu. It was on a bed of rustic ratatouille and Cajun remoulade sauce. It was top tier delicious. I'd recommend it and have it again. My husband ordered the Porterhouse Porkchop, and it could have used a little more seasoning, in my opinion, but overall, the sear was great, and the touch of pears was nice, and the crab cakes were very good and packed with tons of flavor. The spinach cream sauce was delicious, and I could taste the spinach very well. I also ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms, and they were extremely flavorful, and I was very satisfied with them. I enjoyed the small spring salad with goat cheese, mandarin oranges, and cranberries. We ordered the chicken strip appetizer, a side of fries, and a side of mac and cheese. I would definitely do better on the mac and cheese being served, skip the box mac and go homemade instead. I can not believe Kraft was served to us, especially for $9.50. Which should've been a kids' meal, if I'm not mistaken. I'll pay attention next time when we order a kids' meal to make sure we get everything that comes with the kids' meal instead of being charged separately for each item. Other than that, we were pleased with our experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed our main meals. We will definitely be back to try the other items. I look forward to the desserts.

Here we go… was tasked with a place to have dinner and came across AC’s Steakhouse. Started off with an Old Fashion Smoked w/ JD and wondering where the smoke was on the drink, you can see from the picture. Went straight to dinner, ordered Filet Mignon Medium of course, with two sides, Mushrooms and Garlic Mash. The steak was perfectly cooked and passed the butter knife test however, I think the salt slipped a bit which to me wasn’t cool at all as I found myself with salt aftertaste. Mushrooms were good, and the “garlic” mash seemed a bit dry, definitely were not creamy which I was hoping for. Final note on my plate, for a “fancy” place to have a great piece of steak, I didn’t expect too many small bowls on top of my plate. Should all be nicely placed on one plate -the art of great chefs in my opinion. For dessert, ordered the triple chocolate mouse cake was very good. Took a picture of my coworkers food, again plate presentation could be better. Our waiter was a cool dude, I didn’t get his name. I think I would give them another try at one point, let’s see.

Needed a place for a family lunch on Easter and called around found AC'S open got reservations and after arriving found the service amazing and the food was excellent loved our waitress and will be happy to eat here again

Thoroughly enjoyed our early dinner. When we arrived, I asked to be seated away from the bar area, and the hostess was kind enough to make sure I was in a good spot. We had an old fashioned and a martini with our shrimp and grits—a dish so delicious that I would happily return for that alone. However, we powered on and the hubs got a ribeye—beautifully marbled—and I had the salmon. His garlic mashed potatoes went from ok to fabulous once we mashed them into the steak juices. My broccoli could have used a bit more time in the steamer, but I really didn’t care because of the lemon drop martini. We ended with crème brûlée, and left very, very content. Prices were actually excellent for this level of a meal, especially since two of the three drinks were happy hour prices. My only regret is that AC’s is too far from Clarksville to be an evening out.

Jake cooked it to perfection and our waitress was awesome a red head

First impressions are everything. The greeting, establishment, and service was very impressive. The food was delicious, and our waitress was incredibly nice and so personable. We are already planning on eating here again. The cocktails were spot on. Great steak and crab cakes. LOVE LOVE AC'S

Yelp
Service AWESOME as always. Small grilled chicken salad was huge, but was bland. Salad dressing was warm, and only one grape tomato sliced into 4 mini pieces so I'm sticking w/my favorite loaded baked potato. Still love the atmosphere and music here too.

Yelp
I wanted a good steak after my last disappointing one (Most Recent Review) Its my birthday weekend, so I decided to give Ac's a try. I had been wanting to try them for a while. I can say the ambiance was really nice and so was the staff. The atmosphere was casual/nice. I ordered a Margarita to get started. They defiantly don't hold out on the alcohol. I also ordered a shrimp cocktail. I usually receive these in a glass on a bed of Ice and some house made sauce in the middle. These came on a silver platter with cocktail sauce dollop's under them. I cant say I'm a big fan. They were not very cold and the cocktail sauce was very average in taste. The size of the shrimp was decent size. We moved on to the main orders. I ordered the 16oz Ribeye with grilled onions, asparagus, and a side salad. I asked for my steak to be medium rare. The wife ordered the Filet Mignon with mushrooms and a baked potato. She asked if we would be receiving any bread. The waitress said for an up-charge. She would bring some out. The one thing I noticed is everything is a la carte. Your meal comes with one side. The side salad is also an up-charge. I can say the portion sizes for the appetizers and most of the sides were big. I wasn't very impressed with the size of the steaks considering the prices. The steaks in my opinion should be the star of the show! The salad was good but the ranch was a little bland. I received my steak and it was cooked more medium to slightly well. I have just decided no-one knows what a medium rare steak is anymore..... As I stated previously. I wasn't impressed with the size. It was a decent steak, but after the reviews I read. I really expected much better. The taste was also very average bordering on a little bland......Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The asparagus was very bland and under-cooked. My wife and the rest of my party felt the same way. It was expensive for average food. That's why I gave them a three star for the overall experience. If Yelp had half starts it would have been a three point five, but I just cant in good faith give them a four star. The price just don't match the overall quality of the food. Based on our bill I felt a little underwhelmed. I don't mind spending a lot of money on outstanding food. I do mind spending a lot on average food. I wasn't kidding when I said they charge for everything! They even charge an extra 3% for using a card versus cash. Its not a lot of money and it is on their webpage. I just think it should be absorbed in any business. Since we had eight people, there was an automatic 18% gratuity added. Not uncommon these days and our waitress was worth every penny. She worked hard. I tend to tip more than that for a really good waitress. But if they force it. I just tip the forced rate. Would I come back? Probably not....... This place is what I consider just good to average, but very overpriced for the quality of the food you receive. There are much better steak houses out there that would cost you less.

Yelp
Shrimp and grits. Grits were very thick. Cesar salad good. Burger good Baked potato? Expected much better at a steak house. It was obviously left over from the night before and was barely warmed up. Service was excellent.

Yelp
Great food and tasty creative cocktails. Good service and nice atmosphere. It was a gorgeous day to sit on the patio under the umbrellas. The inside is nice as well. Lots of seating. I had the chicken and biscuits and gravy. I tried the drink me Alice and the orange dreamsicle martini. The drink me Alice had a nice presentation with a beaker bottle mixer. After drinking it, it started to taste like soup the longer it sat. The Dreamsicle tastes just as described. I also had the fried cheese cake bites. Delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and friendly courteous staff. Stay tuned. Review coming.... We walked in, step up to the counter and was greeted with great smiles. 1st impressions sets the atmosphere. We were seated in a few minutes, party of two. The decor was modern/rustic very welcoming. They closed at 9pm we arrived at 8pm with no issues with the kitchen closed or grill shut down. That's a plus when they want your $$$. Appetizer Cajun Crawfish Dip = I like anything probably made with Crawfish ‍ but I loved this it's in a lane all by itself. It's definitely a crowd-pleasing. Now it's between gumbo and creamy rotel dip with a flavorable, seasoned crawfish, sautéed veggies, roux with various cheese, cream cheese and it's served with buttery crispy cajun in house made to order fresh tortilla chips! This by far is delicious and a game changer to any appetizer menu item for any party! There was a Cajun season on these light crunchy chips that was delightful. Grilled lime Salmon with sides Lemon Butter Asapargus, Garlic Butter Broccoli and Garlic Mash Potatoes. All was hot, seasoned and timely service. Taste Timely Portion size Presentation Value of ingredients for $ Ambiance Atmosphere Professionalism Staff Flavor Unique Menu Creativeness P.S. we will be back and don't sleep on this spot!! Get here!! Trust the chef Chef Wilk

Yelp
This place is amazing, food is always delicious, service is always great, cozy neighborhood style eatery. Highly recommended.

Yelp
My husband and I had our date night here for the first time and we were not disappointed! All of our food was fantastic. I had the crab cakes with asparagus. The best crab cakes I've ever had, they were so moist. My husband had the bacon wrapped filet with garlic mashed potatoes and he enjoyed it. It was cooked perfectly. We also had the sausage and cheese platter for appetizer. It came with pimento cheese and usually I'm not a fan, but this one was very tasty! More of a cream cheese flavor which I personally liked. For dessert we had the fried cheesecake that was to die for! So good I forgot a picture. Haha I'd also like to acknowledge our waitress Kate (possibly Katie?). She was fantastic! Super friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Thank you!

Marc B.

Yelp
The food was very good. The service was excellent. Our server, Julia, was a rock star.

Yelp
Excellent food with good service, Salmon is one of my favorite choices and their French fries are amazing.

Yelp
Went with family last Saturday for brunch/ lunch to celebrate a new job. Service was indifferent, never offered coffee refill or water refill. Shrimp and grits - shrimp were good, grits cold with golf ball lumps. Granddaughters French toast cold, biscuits with several other meals cold. My kids are too kind to complain when this was supposed to be a treat, so I did my own taste testing. Those that had it did say the bacon was good, and oldest grandson enjoyed his steak. Sure if I had thought of it Waffle House would have been better value and more enjoyed.

Yelp
I am not one to leave reviews but this place was so amazing Meloney was an excellent server and super kind the food was amazing and I will make sure to stop by again (sorry if I butchered the spelling on the name )

Yelp
Ok, I'm in the restaurant business and I've lived all over this country and I really like Hernando, MS, Fine, got that out of the way. When I walked in and saw the layout and the dress of the customers vs. what you charge for your fare, made no sense. The food was average at best. A monkey dish of lukewarm broccoli for 6.oo is down right wrong. My fiancée ordered the porchop and it came out with 2 cups of cinnamon apple pie filling on it........WAS NOT A CHUTNEY. Folks this is a tough business', you would last 2 months in some markets I've lived in, with your prices, execute better, get serious about your food, and service points. Enforce a dress code

Yelp
Absolutely charming! Great food, great service. Quaint little town with southern hospitality coming out it's ears! Would highly recommend! Grilled Shrimp... yum

Yelp
Cozy little steakhouse in historic downtown area. They were quite busy for a weekday lunch. My husband and I each tried the soup of the day which was a potato cheese and jalapeño. It was thick and creamy with just a hint of jalapeño. A real bargain as well because for the price we thought it would be a cup but it was a bowl. We also split the chef salad. Crisp greens with all the usual toppings. It was also a good size, we enjoyed it but couldn't finish it. Our service was spot on. I would go back if I'm in the area.

Vicente B.

Yelp
Not impressed. First time here for brunch. We were told it was a really good brunch. We get here and they give us the regular menu with a very small 3 item brunch menu. Apparently they scaled back some items according to others that have been here that were in our party. Bloody Mary's were ehh. Nothin special. Service needs work. It's the only place on the square that has brunch and it's horrible. The tables they sat us at were cleaned poorly. Sticky Lint covered napkins. This is supposed to be the "high class" restaurant in town?
google avatar

Jon M.

Yelp
Dark, dirty and run down on the inside. Reminds me of an old TGI Friday. It looks nice and up-to-date but it's deceiving for sure.

Susan S.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to get a burger. They make a great burger but the French fries are soggy and awful thought the first time it was a cooking error but the second time was the same soggy droopy fries. Come on guys pull it together You used to do great fries.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
There for Brunch - menu was limited but they keep things simple on the brunch. Good price on the choice of their bloody marys and the mimosas. Staff attentive and friendly for our large group. Seated quickly.
google avatar

Sandie M.

Yelp
OMGoodness the shrimp and grits are superb. My hubby really enjoyed his brunch burger and we both delighted over the bloody Mary's

John M.

Yelp
They have shrimp and cheese grits on the menu as an appetizer. Wife and I split it and the shrimp was amazing. However the $38 steak I got was tough. This place is waaaayyy overpriced. One appetizer and a steak and my wife got a sandwich. With tip we spent $100. Rent must be high on Hernando Town square

Mike Cleveland ..

Yelp
Great service and great food. Table of six and we all had the filets cooked to different doneness with no complaints. Location is downtown on the square and reminds you of an old school steakhouse.
google avatar

Daphne W.

Yelp
Brunch is great. Dinner is amazing. The drinks weren't strong but they were good as well. The spinach dip and homemade tortilla chips are amazing. I love the garlic butter on the ribeye steaks as well. I always enjoy stopping in here to dine.
google avatar

Catrina P.

Yelp
A cute spot on the square and a great meal! We had the crawfish dip to start with which was amazing. It's pair with house fried tortilla chips that were crispy, salty heaven. For entrees I had the catfish with the fresh cut French fries. The catfish has a cornmeal batter that I enjoyed but that my brother thought was a little dry. The French fries were prefect as was the hush puppy. My brother had the New York steak with mushrooms as his side, both were garlicky perfection. Excellent service and our server wore a mask which I appreciate. Great dinner spot!
google avatar

Meg F.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. A bit pricey for what we had, but that's most places these days. Hope to make it there in time for happy hour one day.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
Probably the best place to eat in Hernando--especially for a date night out. Food is moderately priced and of the freshest ingredients. I eat here fairly often and it never disappoints. Great service every time as well...

Yelp
Visiting from out of town and this restaurant came recommend by my friend (a local). Everything was delicious! The drinks, the food, the service, everything was perfect. We got the southwest chicken dip which was soon good! Loved the chips they serve with the dip. My burger was great. My husband loved his steak. Try the dessert chips!! They were amazing! Highly recommended!

Jane B.

Yelp
We came in this last Saturday night, we was greeted right away and set at a table Within minutes. Our Server Kim came and took our drink order and suggested quite a few appetizers ( so glad she did) We chose the Spinach dip! Kim had alot Of knowledge and was able to offer suggestions on side items to pair with our entrees we chose. I suggest anyone who comes to order the crab cakes, they was the best I have ever had! We will definitely come back!!!!

Fred O.

Yelp
Nice place. Went there for lunch. Had spinach artichoke dip and the blackened shrimp platter with cheese grits. Both very good. Decent beer selection. Great service.
google avatar

Denise B.

Yelp
Passed up Memphis because of the reviews and "Best of Desoto". Should have paid attention to all the good "Pub" reviews. We were looking for a restaurant......

Kenneth H.

Yelp
Steak is good, but their signature appetizers are fantastic.... I've had the homemade spinach and artichoke dip with a tortilla chip sized baked to order pita chips fresh from the oven that won't disappoint in fact I go there specifically for the appetizers
google avatar

Kelli T.

Yelp
Friendly, clean and good food. Sweet tea was great, and I'm picky. Nice restaurant & good atmosphere. We had a very sweet waitress and never went without the entire time. The grilled shrimp was some of the best flavored grilled shrimp I have had.

Thank Y.

Yelp
I really wanted the food to be better. Great location and atmosphere, but food sometimes seems just warmed over. Service has always been good.
google avatar

Amanda A.

Yelp
Drinks are made well and service was great. Highly recommend the grits and sirloin. The ribeye is where my issue is. It was very thin, especially for the price point. Save your money and get a sirloin here. The ribeyes just aren't impressive which is disappointing at a steakhouse.
google avatar

Amber G.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner. My husband got the bacon cheeseburger with pepper jack, plain and a side garden salad with ranch. I ordered shrimp cocktail, loaded bales potato and garden side salad with thousand island. We shared some cheese sticks All of it was great!

Shane G.

Yelp
Great place great service. Our first trio was a few weeks back. Server was spot on. Food was very good and atmosphere was very good.
google avatar

J M.

Yelp
The service was great and really enjoyed the experience though the steak and asparagus were a little too salty.

Patrice F.

Yelp
Frankly I don't know what keeps bringing the folks in this place because the steaks were not anything special. There were four of us and we each had a different cut of beef. They weren't mouth watering good. Not even close. Tuff cuts and gristle. The best thing about this joint was the baked tater. Believe me, I wish it was better because we don't have a lot of steakhouses other than chains in DeSoto County. It was just plain disappointing.

Yelp
Tonight was my first time trying AC's and I am very satisfied with the customer service and food. I had the spinach dip that was awesome, the pitas chips were delicious and light and marzorilli cheese sticks werr awesomefor appetizers. For my meal I had the wings which were delicious and just the right amount of sauce. Me and my friends shared food that we ordered and were satisfied we had chef salad, blackened shrimp and cheese grits. The rolls they give you before your meal are very good they are Sister Schurbet. I also had the appletini and a vodka and crown during happy hour. I will definitely be back and especially for happy hour. The location is in a great spot.
google avatar

Amanda E.

Yelp
Love AC's! We typically get burgers but I've never been disappointed with anything here. Ambience is pretty chill and there's plenty of tvs on the bar side so you can keep up with your favorite team but it doesn't have a "sports bar" feel. The dips on the appetizer menu are amazing! The chips are house made which really takes it up a notch - the corn dip is my favorite. The burger is nice an juicy - get the bacon, it's delicious. I can never finish my burger because it's a very generous portion.
google avatar

April H.

Yelp
Good food but bite squad makes it so expensive around 30$ for one person! That's no joke paid 69$ to get steak delivered for just me
google avatar

Phillip S.

Yelp
First visit tonight. Great food. Great service. Started off with the pepperjack cheese and corn dip served with fried flour tortillas. Almost like eating a thick corn chowder. It was delicious. The fried flour tortillas had a very nice texture, different than that of traditional corn tortilla chips. The flour tortilla chips were a little puffy, sort of crispy but still slightly soft. A nice contrast for the senses. Steak ordered: the $35 bone-in ribeye w/ loaded baked potato. Great steak, perfectly cooked. The steak butter sauce was great and added an extra depth of flavor. Steak was slightly overly fatty, but I know ribeye tends to be more fatty. Hey, that's what gives them great flavor! But maybe a little more trimming of the fat could be in order before cooking. Great baked potato. French onion soup was great too, and a huge serving for the price. Not overly salty like some onion soups tend to be. My young son had popcorn shrimp and fries. I sample his dish and it was good quality. Oh, and they serve complementary yeast rolls with a slightly sweetened whipped butter. Very good! For desert, we all shared the fried cheesecake, served with strawberries and whipped cream. I enjoyed it, having been the first time having fried cheesecake. My wife liked the flavor, but remarked she felt it was more of something she would be eating at a fair! Great meal and I'm glad we've found yet another good restaurant to add to our list!

Melissa S.

Yelp
Great staff. Professional and friendly. I was there at brunch and had well seasoned grilled salmon, really good potato salad.
google avatar

A.j. M.

Yelp
Was craving a good steak so we went for our anniversary. Not impressed. Steak was subpar and flavorless. Was expecting much more and was pretty disappointed in the steak. May try it again in the future but no time soon. Service was excellent though.

Bridgette D.

Yelp
Great food, the best steaks, great setting and the staff was courteous and very attentive.
google avatar

Rachel A.

Yelp
AC's Sunday Brunch is my favorite local brunch! They have great stuffed French toast and I have trouble making myself get anything else! It's a large portion and all their sides are good! I get the cheesy grits a lot. However, sometimes with the French toast, their quality is inconsistent--like it'll be burnt on the edges, or look like it was cooked on a dirty grill, or tried to cook too fast, so the batter isn't quite done, yet it's dark on the edges. Still worth trying. Note : I do avoid this place if I'm in a hurry, especially like weekday lunches, because they aren't the fastest around for sure. If you do want a lighter lunch, try the chef salad!
google avatar

Charlene M.

Yelp
Had a wonderful meal until another staff member interrupted not once but twice during a conversation with us and our waitress. Regardless of the reason, customers should always come first! Reflected in the tip. Too bad for both the customer and the waitress.
google avatar

Shalene W.

Yelp
Did a late Sunday evening dinner at AC's a cozy quiet atmosphere. The Crawfish dip is really good. Steak was cooked just like I like it. Our waitress Michael was great!
google avatar

Crystal C.

Yelp
Me, my hubby and 5 year old went for an early dinner. He ordered 16oz ribeye, I ordered crab cakes and kiddo got the cheeseburger. His ribeye was super thin and completely bland other than the mushroom sauce that it was drowned in and the crab cakes were nothing spectacular. Only thing there that we actually enjoyed was the crawfish dip and that was AFTER adding some salt and pepper to it. The staff was very friendly but after paying over 100.00 for 2 adults and a 5yr old, for bland food, I do not see us ever going back.

Linda G.

Yelp
Love it! Ruby and ashley are the best I feel like norm at the bar where they know your name.no loud band just good family dining. Great place to eat as a family outing ! Linda golden
