Action Zipline Tours

Had a great time today. The guides were fun, the equipment was newer and in excellent condition. We went on 9 zip lines, and my sister in law was hilarious on the suspension bridge.

⭐ 1 Star – Very Disappointing Experience We went on an adventure with Action Tours in Big Bear and decided to rent a GoPro from them for $49 (tax included) so we could record the whole experience. What they never told us was that the SD card only holds about 45 minutes of video… even though the tour lasts 3 hours. Because of that, the camera ran out of space before we even really started, and we didn’t get to record the full experience at all. When I called afterward to explain the issue, the staff was extremely rude. They basically said, “You rented a GoPro to get a video, and you got a video,” and refused to take any responsibility. They made it clear they don’t do refunds, even though they never told us about the recording limit in the first place. Overall, the adventure itself is just okay — you get what you pay for, nothing extra. But the unprofessional and rude staff completely ruined it for us. Definitely do NOT recommend renting the GoPro, and honestly the customer service alone makes it hard to recommend Action Tours at all.

Had a great time zip lining for the first time ever. The tour guides are absolutely amazing and safety is always point #1. At no point did I ever feel in danger and everything was run very smoothly and most importantly fun. There's a pouch that you're given that attaches to the harness, so you can bring your phone and take pics/vids. Loved that I had a secure place for my phone. Bathrooms and water are available at the main office as well as the basecamp before you get harnessed up, so you don't have to worry about bio issues.

What a fantastic experience for myself, my husband and 3 children (11,13,15)! I am extremely scared of heights and so originally thought I would just watch, but the amazing staff were so helpful and knowledgeable they convinced me to try it and by the end I also loved it too! The guys couldn’t have been more supportive and we all thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely recommend a visit! Thank you Abe and team !

Alexis was rude to us when we checked in. She's in the wrong business. One star off for Alexis. When driving from their office to the zipline site, starting in November, there can be ice on the roads and you might need chains. One of the three cars driving out spun out and ended up on a snow bank on the wrong side of the road. The guides, Riley and ?, were awesome! Very safety conscious, meticulous, and helpful.

My husband and I went our on first zipline tour ever yesterday with Action Tours in Big Bear. The crew was amazing. They had a great sense of camaraderie among them. Each of them had a relaxed and encouraging demeanor that helped me a lot. They made the course more fun. On the downside, the lack of detailed information about the course is odd. To try to ease my nerves before our trip, I looked for a map of the course and couldn't find one or any pictures of it online. I think Action Tours should proudly include this resource. Even after taking the tour, I have no idea how long any of the lines were. How can I brag properly? The unsecured plastic stepstools on the platforms were scary. No bathrooms on the course, even though we were assured there would be. Overall, I highly recommend this experience. It was well worth the cost, well-organized and a great little adventure!

Really dope experience that went by so much faster than I expected. The guides were really fun fellas and they put the first timers at ease. The variance in length of the ziplines themselves was nice, particularly since we started off with the shorter ones and progressed to the longer, faster ones. Also liked that the last five minutes of the trip from the office to the lines was in an off-road vehicle - made me feel like Rambo and my wife like Indiana Jones, so it was a quick time for us to geek out a bit😊 Lastly, the views are stupid gorgeous, and it's so exhilarating to go flying through all that beautiful wilderness, and the startlingly adept photographer has you lookin at pics of yourself afterwards like Splash Mountain. So much fun, and I would recommend this to anyone.

What an awesome experience. The staff was super professional. Guided us all along the way and made us feel safe. Made sure we had a great time. This was our first time and won’t be our last. Not only the riders were exciting but the views of Big Bear were beautiful. Definitely recommend.

Every aspect of our experience with Action Tours was positive. Their online registration process is clear and thorough. My wife and son went on the tour. We paid and signed the waivers online. When we arrived, the front office folks got us signed in smoothly. They showed a helpful orientation video to the tour group and off they went. After about a half hour shuttle ride up to the zip lines the professional guides got the group into their gear and took them expertly through the nine zip line segments. They were fun but not scary. Safety was always important--but the guides made sure all were having fun too. My folks had a great time. Well-run organization.

My teenage boys had a blast! Good value for the $$ (3hrs)but is pricey ($150+ each). It's something unique to do here and considered it our "splurge" for the trip.

Love every minute of it The crew was amazing and everything was so smooth and fun. Not to fast but for couples kids and families it's just perfect

this is the second year in a row. I have brought a group of teenagers to zip line. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the kids have had a great time both times.

Snow shoe outing review: misleading description and overpriced. Let me start by saying our guide Phil was GREAT! No complaints there AT ALL. The issues we had last Sunday (Feb.18) was that the "3 hour tour" includes the time to drive to and from the trailhead! On that day, it took about 50 minutes out and 35 minutes back. Do the math. Also, they repeatedly talk about transporting customer in their vans (see photos). However, after we checked in, they told us we had to drive our own cars!! No explanation given--and their vans were parked out front (see photo). Scummy. The snow shoeing itself was nice, although you could hear the traffic from highway 38 most of the time. We expected more for $120.

I thought everyone was great, from the staff at the office, to the tour bus drivers, to the zip line coaches, EVERYONE was GREAT! I'm kinda self-effacing and sarcastically funny, I had fun banter with all the coaches. They took great care of me/tour group at large. Having fun reduces the fear! Although there is zero reason to have fear, the coaches were there for us every step of the zip-line way. Ziplining is FUN! I laughed and giggled with each leap of faith into the zipline across the forest. I knew I was safe, I was in great hands! I especially want to thank you Dre and Tanner, but Thank you to everyone who made this day a GREAT day and experience.

The tour was so much fun. Our group had a wide range from beginners to seasoned zip liners. The tour guides were very good at preparing us for each zip line and kept everything fun. I would definitely do it again.

Booked a snowshoeing tour with your company. Confirmation stated that transportation would be included. Found out upon arrival that we would have to provide our OWN transportation to the hiking site. We didn't get to the site until 2:30pm. Phil was nice enough to extend the tour til 5pm (originally scheduled until 4:30pm) so we can get more hiking time. To be honest, the pricing is too high and I would not recommend it to family or friends.

My friend and I went for the very first time and everyone was fantastic! All of the tour guides were patient, friendly, funny, and safety oriented which I truly appreciated! They helped us ease into our gear and out of it. They had safety measures in place and we had a great group of people to zip line with which was an added bonus. This is a must do if you are visiting Big Bear, you will have no regrets...

We made a reservation online for a Zipline adventure with our family on Monday, January 3rd. We weigh in, and wait for the rest of the group to arrive for our 1 pm tour. The front desk gentleman receives a call at 1 pm that the tour is cancelled because the brake lines were not checked that morning. He asked if we wanted to come in the next day but who is to say the same thing couldn't happen again, where we let the whole day go by and can't do our Zipline activity. The employee was apologetic but it was a bad start to the winter break that we planned. It's hard because I'm sure the owner has to trust that the logistics will be handled by the employees and that everyone does their job but if you have one chance to make an impression, and it's not a good one, sometimes that's all it takes. I'm wondering why this wasn't realized earlier on, why the issue was discovered just as we were about to board the shuttle up.

Highly recommended! Staff are absolutely amazing and friendly. They will not disappoint. I have gone both summer and winter time. Different each time and the view are amazing! They photos they take are incredible!

My partner and I love zip lining, so it was only right to come to Action Tours during our anniversary trip. It was a smooth process. The staff was welcoming and made our safety a priority. They have a photographer and we were able to purchase the cool pics to take home! We loved the drive up to the zip lines! We did 9 lines at all different heights and speeds. Highly recommend being comfortable, and bundled up!! You can carry your phone or small belongings, they have a small pouch that attaches to the gear! Overall, amazing experience. Views are beautiful. Such a vibe! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Hands down a must do when at Big Bear. We are regular visitors here- mostly winter season to ski & snowboarding. One of the few times we are here visiting not during a ski/snowboard season. I made reservations online - they advise to arrive 15 mins prior to your scheduled time. I recommend completing the waiver sent via text. Save time. Upon arrival- we waited just a few mins for others to arrive & off we start with safety video before hopping into the van to the site. The van was clean and driver was super nicer. The ride was abt 25 minutes . Enjoy the Mountain Views on your way up! When we arrived - you hop into another vehicle to take you to the actual zipline site. After that ride- a staff was ready for us. The gears were line up neatly & was ready to help our group! The gears took only several mins but there are at least 15 people so just hang tight. Unfortunately, their camera wasn't initially working so they offered to take our photos with our own devices. Only one of the group got their photos taken with their prof. Camera. Their group photo turned out nice! Additional overview safety was provided again by a staff member before we had zipped through the 1st course- it was fun!!!! There were 3 zipline staff during the course whom were all professional, patience and friendly. The entire experience was 3 hours. Totally worth it & highly recommend it! Every member were nice- from Check in staff - driver & course staff. One thing I wished we got were more photos. Several photos were out of focus / our group photos were missing due to camera not functioning at the start of the course. We did pay for the photo package- just wished there were more taken of our group. There were amazing & fun shots of the other groups in our party. I don't believe it's warrant a less star. I hope the manager or owner will read this review & view it as "things we can improve". Overall, our family had a great time & we had wonderful memories.

We did a zip line tour in the snow and it was awesome! We booked same day and had a great experience with the staff - everyone was so friendly and nice! After a 25 min ride up the mountain in a warm van, we were greeted by two zip line experts. They drove us up to the top of the 9 zip lines off road in a truck. Luckily our family of 4 was the only group - my 10 and 12 year old had a blast! It was a super fun and memorable experience and I would highly recommend it and do it again!

Really fun and unique experience. My girlfriend and I did the Snowshoe Tour and it was amazing and do-able for first timers. Once at the top there are a lot of great picture opportunities with a great view. Our guide Phil was really good at explaining everything we needed to know before starting our tour and he really knows his way around the mountain. We were lucky enough to be the only ones in the tour so he pretty much was our personal guide. Listening to all his stories made the hike even better. We will definitely be back with friends and to try the other tours.

Highly recommend the ziplining. It was a lot of fun. Thumbs up! We ordered the go pro ahead of time, but they didn't have any when we got there. So they compensated by providing free photos, which I thought was a fair compromise. Thanks!

I went on the zipline tour with my family and had an amazing time! All of the tour guides were super friendly and helpful, and they all clearly knew what they were doing. We were in good hands! I'd be happy to do it again!

My friend booked a ziplining tour for 12, but our group had to get separated because of Covid. One group was at 9AM and the other group was at 9:30AM. The first group was late, but since it was only their group on that tour, they were able to make it. The other group came 5 mins after the scheduled time and was not able to make it. They say that you have to be there at least 15 minutes early. The lady at the front was rude at first about it, but after we asked questions and explained we were only there for the weekend, she quickly helped reschedule us for the next day. The guys on the tour that explained everything were pretty nice and friendly. I was still drunk from the day before, so half of the time, I was ziplining drunk. Thank you to the guys for making it easy to learn and have a good time!

We had the best time with this company. The crew there was entertaining and super nice. We felt super safe the whole time. The ziplines were fun, fast, and long. Our 9-year-old daughter came with, and they were super attentive with her. I highly recommend this experience with this company!

Great staff, lots of fun, went on a weekday which made it better since there was only 6 people total so made it go faster than waiting more. Exciting with 9 zips to go off of and long and fast ones too! Beautiful views and they even had a photographer taking picts of all of us that we could buy at the end of the experience. Highly recommend this!

This tour was amazing!! The guides were sooo very helpful and really made us feel safe. They were quite comical too, which made it even more fun!! They were also very knowledgeable about the area so if you had any questions they were more than happy to give you advice!!! Will definitely do again!!

Our family group of 15 (ranging from ages 16 to 81) had a wonderful time ziplining in Big Bear with Action Tours. The staff is top-notch and was so patient and caring with our newbie zippers and our 2nd timers as well. My husband has some physical challenges and he was able to conquer the day with the help of these awesome guys! My 81 year old mother had so much fun checking Ziplining off her Bucket List. A fun day was had by all. Thank you, Action Tours for the memories.

Had a fun experience with my daughter doing the zips. The guys were all fun and made us feel safe. The zips were perfect and a bit of a thrill. It was a beautiful day I'll always remember. So happy for this experience and I recommend it to everyone.

I did a last minute trip to Big Bear and booked this zip line excursion on a whim. I am so glad I did as it was so much fun. I've been zip-lining before so I knew what to expect. The crew were friendly and knowledgeable. I wish there were more lines as it was so much fun! I should have checked Yelp to get my 10 percent off but I was just glad they were open for business. Thank you for providing a safe friendly fun time! All staff wore masks, great job.

My son and I went for the first time last weekend. This place was very organized from the easy booking, friendly office staff and van drivers. The guys on the lines were very patient and provided helpful tips. The views were awesome!

We scheduled a day to go ziplining a year ago. We went but it ended up getting rained out because it was lightning. There were only us and one other couple. They gave us one year to use the tickets. So we booked our adventure on September 16th. We got there a little bit early, watched the video and were ready to go. We had done this about 5 years ago and it was super fun. But we forgot all of the techniques of course . I tried for the first three runs to use my break but it was stressful and scary. The guys told us don't worry about it we got you You can't break you just go ahead and come in hot which I did every time lol so much fun. Those dudes definitely know what they're doing They were so gentle, cautious, and knowledgeable. Our lives were in their hands and they handled us like little babies lol. We will definitely be back and we recommend everyone to do this. It is an awesome adventure!

The zip line team is amazing. Cathy, the driver gave a nice educational tour on the ride to the zip line site. The guys who ran the zip were quick and efficient. We have zip lined before in other places and it was a lot of standing around waiting. These guys take small groups and get down to business. They photographer took great pictures as well.

Had an amazing time! My sons & I booked the Zip Lining tour in Jan with snow covered mountains. Was a great experience Zip lining over the trees tops & beautiful views. Action tours staff were awesome and made the experience fun & enjoyable, easing any uncertainties. They were all knowledgeable & fun with great attitudes. Visited Big Bear this weekend with friends. Unfortunately I was under the weather so opted out of skiing on the mountain and thought there must be some other thrill seeker things to do and found this awesome place! I love ziplining and figured it was my first time in Big Bear why not check it out. There are 9 lines you do along with a wobbly suspension bridge you can walk across. There were only 9 of us which was a great group size and the instructors were fantastic. They really complemented our personalities and were supportive the entire time. As someone who was going by themselves in a group of people who knew each other I still had an amazing time. The van drivers as well are really personable. They tell you all about the history of Big Bear pointing out the different views and what to look out for. Pretty affordable price too. Definitely recommend for people who love a good thrill.

We are regular visitors at Big Bear but this was our first zipline experience and it did not disappoint. From office staff, driver to field staff, all were hands down knowledgeable and engaging. I wasn't sure if we could continue our reservation due to weather, so I left a message the night before. A staff called us back the following day and assured us the weather wont be a major factor. We arrived 15 mins before and the office offered lockers to secure any loose items. You start with a safety video before being directed to the van to take us to the site (25 mins drive). When we arrive all gears were organized nicely and were ready to go! Staff was courteous and super helpful. Each tour guide during the zipline were exceptional. They were great and made sure we had a great experience. We purchased the entire photo package....def worth paying the extra package! Overall, no regrets. High recommend! Thanks to all Action Tour staff for a fun experience!

We had a great day. The only complaint is the group size was too large (18 people). Typically, when we zipline there are no more than 8-10 people in the group. Lots of downtime waiting for all people on each line.

Had a great time on my first zip lining experience. Not terribly high and not excessively fast, the two guides did a great job making this scared neophyte feel comfortable and allowed me to just really enjoy the experience. Now I want to do it again! Definitely recommend!

The staff alone were freaking awesome and so nice!!! I was a little nervous on the first cable but after that it was so easy and you feel care-free. I would recommend this to anyone.

This was to be a "Bucket List" event for my wife's 70th birthday. Unfortunately, due to a verbally abusive staff member and the poor safety conditions my wife and four other members of the family were left wanting. It wasn't just our party but other unrelated participants in the group endured the same issues. Action Tours Zip Line Tour caused my wife bodily injury as well. I cannot recommend this experience!

I ziplined with these guys on 6-16-23. The staff and the guides were all very friendly and chill. $155 might seem like a bit much, but you get to go down a series of nine zip lines on a beautiful mountain. Worth every penny. A bus drives you from Big Bear to a mountainside 25 minutes away, then from there you get in the back of a pick up truck that takes you up some small dirt roads to the starting point. I give Action Tours two thumbs up and five stars for my zip line experience.

Have been coming here for years. Always a GREAT experience. Tour guides are all very accommodating, funny, and professional. In our tour we have many different age groups and fitness levels. One person in the group had some mobility issues and all the tour guides were extremely patient with him and gave him special attention for his safety. Recommended this place time and time again.

Very friendly staff. They're not kidding tho when they say it takes 3 hours. Plan accordingly.

Joel was our instructor and was so patient, funny, and knowledgeable about your equipment and the tour itself. My husband and I have never experienced that before and we definitely left wanting to encourage others who come up to participate in the tour. Your front desk staff Jennifer was such a sweetheart. There was an issue with another customer running late due to a car accident and Jennifer was very understanding and compassionate.Because of The way she responded to the situation you can tell she has strong leader ship and customer service skills. What a fantastic experience with Action Tours Zipline Big Bear! Reservations and scheduling were seamless for a 1:00 PM tour. Arrived a little early and were greeted by Zach and weighed in. After a brief safety video we were transported by Brett to the zipline area, about a 20 minute drive through some gorgeous country. Brett, gave us information about the surrounding area and some of the notable landmarks. Upon arrival at the zipline area we were greeted by Jules, our driver and photographer for our elevated adventure. We slowly made our way up into the zipline area through the San Bernardino National Forest. Once at the zipline station we were greeted by Draeden and Jordan, our zipline guides. We got geared up, given a safety briefing and Draeden demonstrated the first (short) zipline for the group. As each member of the group got hooked onto the steel zipline cable the look on everyone's face was priceless and the smile widened as we each pushed off, flying through the trees. As you came into each successive zipline tower you are always hooked to a cable or steel loop on the tower. The manner in which Draeden and Jordan were able to do this with our group was like a Swiss watch. No one ever felt pressured and the safety consciousness of our guides was second to none. As we made your way through nine (9) ziplines the views were incredible and Jules took pictures of our group the whole time. After the 7th zipline, there's a quick water break and the final two ziplines are their longest and fastest ziplines. During the Fall they do a pumpkin smash on the weekends whereby you're given a small pumpkin and you can drop it while flying across the two longest ziplines. There are marked targets on the ground. Because it was only Thursday, Jordan grabbed pine cones for everyone to give it a try. What a blast trying to hit a target while suspended 80 feet in the air flying at speeds of 35-40 mph. Once we completed the tour we were taken back to the van and enjoyed the leisure drive back Action Tours home office. Within a few minutes we were given tablets to view the photos Jules took of everyone during the tour. We came up to Big Bear for my son's birthday trip and the memories we created will last a lifetime. Thank you Zach, Brett, Jules, Draeden and Jordan you all made our first full day in Big Bear awesome.

I loved the snowshoeing tour with Action Tours-Big Bear. It was fun and seemed to be a very user friendly sport. The crew is great and are able to feel out your level of adventure. The scenery was beautiful and it made a great day of experiencing the outdoors. Also, the hot beverage with the crew at the end of the tour was a nice touch. The next day, although I felt I had done something more than my usual physical activity, I was not sore at all. I hope to venture out with Action Tours again sometime soon.
