Rented jet skis, paddle boards, and paddle boat. Staff were really sweet and informative. The paddle boat wasn't working properly so they kindly exchanged it for a kayak at no charge. We rented for 2 hours which was plenty of time for us all to enjoy the watersports. There was 10 of us and we all had time to ride or try them all. Clean area, beautiful views and clear waters Couldn't have asked for a better day!😎🤗🏖❤️👍

Great people work there in the office and on the docks. Very helpful and great attitudes. The boat was excellent.

Very fun, the jet skis go up to 45 mph on choppy waters, it costs $209 for rental and fuel for a jet ski for 1 hour. They also have kayaks and motor boats you can rent as well. Also you do have to stay within a few mile triangle, but it's one of the cheaper places to rent a jet ski or other water vehicles. This place was very fun. They also have 30 minute rentals for cheaper if you don't want to pay $209.

Fun life memory. Staff on the boat did a great job. Nearly 40 minute delay after our scheduled departure (due to overbooking) meant we had to cancel another activity scheduled later in the day. Check in staff seemed as confused/annoyed as we were.

We had a good experience of parasailing here. We had booked for 3 adults online in advance. Ours was a 9 am slot and as mentioned in the email, we reached at 8.30 am. The place was closed and they took some time to eventually get ready. But thankfully, we had kept the morning free and flexible. There was another couple with us in the same boat so we went up turnwise. That gave us more time in the boat. The photographer explained us the charges of still pictures and GoPro recording that's tied to you from start to end. We opted for it, and they were okay. I thought he would use a zoom camera. The ones I really liked were taken by our cellphone in the boat. Video came out good. It was our first time so could have been better. I just wish that they could have kept us in air for more than 10 mins. The time is too less for a $100 experience.

We rented a jet ski for one hour. It was a great experience! It went fast, even with two people. The staff was great in helping us get checked in and in returning the jet ski. I would high recommend them as your place to rent water toys during your stay in Lake Tahoe.

I was very happy with my 26' Chaparral 4-hour Boat Rental in early August. My party of 12 had a great time chillin' on the lake and checking out Emerald Bay. I was a little nervous because it was my first time operating a boat, but the staff was super friendly and provided very clear instructions. I also liked that there was someone to drive us out to the safe buo area so we don't have to worry about navigating the boat in tight spaces. I highly recommend and will do this again!

Overall, it was fun but for the price, disappointing. If I say it was a short trip, I would be understating it! Wow! It was a Short trip. Approx 7-8 mins in air total. Was supposed to go to 1000' but overheard Captain state that everybody went to 800'. So the extra $20 we paid per person for the 1000' was for nothing. We even had 1000' written on our wrist tags. They state on the website that the reservation was from 1-2pm. However, it does not state flying time. We flew for about 7-8 mins from start to finish. Frankly it was a bit disappointing. I would have been ok with it if the flying time was disclosed. Probably won't return.

I was really hoping to have an amazing experience that would net a great review, but unfortunately that didn't happen. For start, I booked a 1000' parasailing for 2, scheduled time was 1-2pm. We got to head out to the boat around 1:08 and immediately set out on the water. We were the first of three groups on board parasailing. We were harnessed in and things were going great, and then we took off. The ride literally lasted 8 minutes. That's it, 8 minutes for $115 each, before taxes. It was a beautiful view and great ride, though it was way too short. (The website did not state it would be a very short ride) What happened next made it even worse: after the 3rd group was up, a worker gal on board said to the boat captain, yep all three groups are the same, 800'. I asked her if we were taken up 1000' because it looked as if we went the same height up, and she said "oh yes, you got your 1000'. She was a professional photographer and was really hounding us to purchase a photo package, asking multiple times. We docked the boat at 1:55pm, after a slow stroll in... All in all, I had a good time with my love but it was WAY too short for what the website represented and the cost. I won't be back to Action Watersports any time soon...

My daughter and I wanted to rent a jet ski while in Tahoe and this place was great! The prices were reasonable for what most charge for jet ski rentals. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They provided wet suits at no additional charge which was great because the water was still pretty cold in May. Everyone that worked there was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. The jet ski was top notch and was so fun to ride! Thank you for the great memories!

You guys were amazing from start to finish and made such an unforgettable experience for my kids and I. Specifically Ky, Dalton, Miles, and Tony plus the gal working at the front desk (on 5/31/2025) I didn't catch her name, but you were all wonderful. It was our first time jet-skiing and as a single mom I was a little nervous, but the staff were so friendly, knowledgeable, patient and attentive that it made us feel comfortable and truly cared for. Thank you again, we can't wait to come back!

We came here to rent a paddle boat to spend some time out on the lake. Literally every other rental spot on the south shore were either sold out or had non operating ones. I called Action Watersports and they had some available. So off we went. The girl at the check in both was nice and informative. She went over all the paperwork with us and got us set fairly quickly. We then got our boat off the beach and into the water. We've never been on one before so it took us a few minutes to get our bearings and figure out a system, but we got there and enjoyed the experience. Overall, I felt it was a bit overpriced but hey, that's Tahoe for you. I think we paid $50 bucks or so for an hour rental. We had to stay within the (tight) boundaries of the shore. People were nearly on top of one another out there (paddle boats and those swimming). For what it was, we enjoyed ourselves and would do it again.

This place wasted my families time while on vacation. I initially went there with my son and we booked a double kayak. Employees were really nice and everything went well. While we were there , we asked about the 4 person paddle boating and we were told that we could lap one of our children who is 3 years of age. Next day we came back to give them more business and went thru entire process of filling out waivers and going thru final walk through with employee. As we're getting on the boat manager says we cannot lap our child. As a family of 5 this devastated our children and our vacation time was wasted as we had a full day planned around this. Next time please provide your clients with the right information so we don't waste valuable vacation time set around your activities. Our day went from great to terrible pretty quickly as my 3 children were all looking forward to this. Employees were really nice but we were misinformed hence the reason for the bad review. Please be better.

Best adventure of my adult life ! Captain Jon and Chava made this exceptionally easy despite physical limitations. Felt 1000% safe and confident to take flight 1000 feet in the air. The ride was extremely smooth and can't say enough how absolutely amazing this experience was. The small kids, their parents and my old self never stopped smiling. Thank you for making it the best decision we made on our trip to Lake Tahoe!!

If you are looking to rent jet skis, I would recommend going elsewhere. I had a terrible experience and am never patronizing this place again. First, the young man who reviewed the rules for us spoke so quickly that we missed nearly half of what he was saying. He didn't bother to pause and see if we understood or had any questions. Second, they don't allow you to use the jet skis in Emerald Bay. We did so and were chastised when we returned the jet skis. Apparently they track where you jet ski using GPS, without telling you that they do so. They also expect you to stay in the designated jet ski area but do not tell you what that is. Third, and most annoyingly, they charged me $390 for alleged damage to the front bumper of my jet ski. I did not damage the bumper and told the employee that, but he inferred that I was lying. Word to the wise: make sure you carefully review the paperwork when they do the inspection walk around and be sure to take pictures of the jet ski before you use it. I'm angry that I had to pay $390 for damage I did not cause. Since i signed the paperwork, there wasn't much I could do but grin and bear it. What a money racket.

This was an amazing experience!!!! I was terrified initially but the crew did a good job making me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this to anyone who visits Lake Tahoe!!!

Absolutely great experience, We tried their jet-skies . It is kinda pricey, but full of fun and crazy stuff to do on the lake. Maximum speed of each jet ski would be 45 mile per hour. So yes do not wear eyeglasses during maneuvering . Each group get a free trial of what should do and not to do during playing. Friendly staff for sure. Post more pics tomorrow as well.

I had THE best time parasailing with these folks. First, the service is impeccable. Everyone was super friendly, super informative, and gave my family of 5 the best experience. I won't go anywhere else on Lake Tahoe. While I've parasailed with the wife several times before, it was a first for my kids, so the whole experience was important to me. We tried to go parasailing a few days before with a different agency, but a storm started to creep in, and our plans got canceled. My issue with that place wasn't the weather (can't blame anyone for that), but with the "hands off" aloof handling of our reservation. It left a bad taste in my mouth, so I was really hopeful these folks would be better. I was glad I made the switch! There was a small storm brewing, which once again threatened our experience, but our captain, a 20 year veteran of the lake, kept a close eye on the radar, the sky, and headed north, where the sky was still clear and sunny. He was determined to get our experience done safely! We had a blast! I wish I remember his name, but his co-pilot helped take about 100 pictures of us in the air, which came in handy for instagram. I'm now a loyal customer and evangelist, and will spread the word. Come here! Go nowhere else!

Booked a 2 hour double kayak for my birthday and we had a great time. They told us not to go to the left and not too deep into the lake, but I guess we went a little too far and they sped out on a boat to tell us to turn around. ‍. Oops. The check in process was easy. Just have to sign a form and you are on your way. The jet skis looked super fun so we will try those next time. Big thanks to the staff for being cool

Terrible service! Do NOT use this jet ski service ever! It was so chaotic trying to get on the jet ski from the beginning. Then they don't let you go to Emerald bay and if you do they charge you. We drive super slow and it didn't hit anything, but they charged us for a new bumper. We are certain that damage was already on the jet ski but since we aren't poor we just paid for a new bumper. They obviously need the money more than we do.

Very rude and impudent stuff with strange attitude that make you feel like they own the Lake itself. Very strange rules. Commanding people . I guess they know that there is no competition..... sad business , horrible attitude to customers ....

Staff was very friendly and followed covid rules well (masks were used, good social distancing, clean pens were offered for signing docs). Wait wasn't bad for a Saturday and the area allowed for kayaking was very lax as were allowed the length of the shore and able to go out and around the dock (which went a decent distance out into the lake).

From start to finish everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional and took good care of us. Especially Shelby (from Austin Texas). We got the large boat-26 foot- for 4 hours ($822) and rented a tube ($35). Gas ran us $167.92. Expensive at $6.99 a gallon, but we expected that. It was a.terrific experience and when we wanted to rent the boat for an additional hour (at $274) they dissuaded us as winds were picking up, so we headed back to the harbor. Nice that they put safety before dollars.

It was easy to make an appointment over the phone and the staff was super friendly! We had a good time kayaking and would totally come back again. Lots of parking available too.

So on our vacations, my wife always finds some activity to do with the kids. She scoped out this business while we were vacationing in Lake Tahoe in early August. In order to book an adventure, you have to go online and pay to reserve the equipment, which I was a little skeptical about but rolled with it. We showed up and it was super busy but we finally got to the front of the line and checked in. Sadly our 3 year old couldn't ride the jet ski so my wife had to book a canoe with him separately. That meant I took my older two kids (ages 9, 7) out on the jet ski with me. Instructions were reviewed prior to going out. They were simple enough. We put on our life vests and headed out. It was awesome. Kids and I had a blast, despite there being a lot of people out on the water. Obviously, the lake is big enough to accommodate a ton of people. We made great memories. The staff were all young, cool kids and the whole process was pretty easy. Next time we'll have to include our youngest. He would love it too!

$5 to store my backpack while I jetskied?! Way to nickel and dime your customers. Most of the staff was very friendly with the exception of an old man with gray hair. Extremely rude attitude and demeanor towards paying customers. Left a bad taste in my mouth for the entire afternoon. Came back to this location for a boat rental I had the next day and the entire internet was down. The staff couldn't process anything despite us having online reservations visible on my phone. This place is a joke.

We had a great time kayaking and then later with our speed boat rental. Everyone was very nice and welcoming and well informed so that we knew how to take the boat out. Highly recommend as a great way to get out on the lake.

BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They charge $250 for two people for parasailing (hidden fees). We were up in the air for about 10 MINUTES MAX. As soon as we came down, the girl asks, "Will it be cash or card for the photos?" We never even asked for photos! As soon as we declined the photos, they immediately drove the boat back to the dock and ushered us to get off. They are only after your money.

We had a great experience parasailing with this company! From my first phone call, asking a bajillion questions - and all of them answered with friendly, competent professionalism - to exiting the boat after our "flight" we were in good hands. Price and Brandon crewed our boat. They were easy-going, knowledgeable and professional. The people in the front office upsold us from one person parasailing to three without being pushy at all. I really appreciate friendly, competent employees and we hit the jackpot with Action Watersports at Lakeside Marina! We will definitely go with this company again when we return next year. Thanks for a great experience!

Had a fantastic experience on their Water Taxi this weekend! Captain Mike and Johnny are outstanding at customer service, very welcoming and attentive. They made the cruise really fun! We started at Camp Richardson and did the full loop. It was a great way to explore other beaches while avoiding traffic and getting to spend some time on the lake. My only complaint was that we didn't think it was running and almost missed out. Bob H, please update your websites. Every site we checked said service was suspended. We only booked because we saw the boat at the dock. So thankful we did! Highly recommended!!

Went parasailing with the family. Had a great time. I do not recommending paying for them to take photos. I paid $35 and all the pictures were blurry. Very disappointed in that. My phone took better photos then their so called amazing professional camera. Other than that we had a good time.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful. They have a variety of sports to choose from and you get your money's worth. Will use them again when I visit Tahoe!

Rented a kayak here for two hours. Staff was very friendly. Great location to kayak from - went to Nevada beach about 2.5 miles away. Also had reservations to rent a motor boat on another day. Unfortunately wildfire smoke came in that day and severely limited visibility on the lake. Staff cancelled our reservation without any problem and issued a refund. We will definitely try them again the next time we are in South Lake Tahoe.

This was a super nice experience we take parasailing the guys are super friendly and they explain how to be safe on the boat and on the air this experience is for everyone I recommend it and for sure I'm going back is only about 4 minutes on air so keep on mind you pay this is a little expensive but nice experience to remember

Love this water sports location. I've used them on multiple occasions when I visit Tahoe, and they've always been on top of their service. I reserved a jet ski for one hour on Fourth of July weekend, paid a head of time online, and received a call the day before my reservation to remind me of my reservation, as well as to ask that I am there 45 minutes prior to ensure the check in procedure didn't cut into my riding time. As always; I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend.

We had so much fun here, summer of 2020. We did paddle boarding and also went jet skiing for the first time. Lake Tahoe is always a blast, now that the kids are older were getting more adventurous. We all appreciated how amazing the staff was with us: so helpful and kind.

for the price i've paid the value wasnt there. Boat is ancient, nothing works - speedometer, audio system, depth meter - all broken. no fun at all - you cant park since there is no anchor on the boat (?!), they dont even recommend to go to any marina(!?) My kids were bored and rafting on Truckee river we did for 7x times les $$ was 10x times more fun! Avoid.

Came here to rent a boat for only an hour. They told me that I had to pay a 2 hour minimum so there was no option for just 1 hour. No problem with that. It was $209 per hour x 2. So then they tell us that after we come back they are going to count how much gas we used and that we have to pay for the gas. Okay no problem again. I come back and it's time to check the gas price and we barley even did that much because we took it nice and easy the whole ride. They charged us $7 per gallon of gas. That's when I got annoyed because of the gas price. So we payed around $500 for a 2 hour ride that got us barely halfway of Lake Tahoe. Heard about some place that was much cheaper than that was around this area. Would recommend looking for another place. Customer service was good.

My friend and I rented paddle boards here on our trip in June and it was awesome! We had lots of freedom in where we were allowed to paddle and the location is beautiful. The employees were all friendly and helpful. If your looking for a place to rent on your trip, you should absolutely go here!

Terrible customer service. Multiple employees were hanging around doing nothing and yet none came over to help us. When we reached out to two different guys to get a pedal boat neither could help us, so we decided not to rent from them. Additionally, there was zero attempt by any employees to practice social distancing. None of the employees wore masks despite speaking /interacting with all customers in close proximity, and the grumpy old man had a mask around his neck but didn't bother to put it over his face despite approaching us and getting within a few feet of us. So if you want to catch coronavirus, rent from here!

Terrible. We made reservations for today Saturday 7/7 at 11am for 4 jet skis at 11 am. We were not notified of any height requirements or weather conditions. One employee checked a few of our kids and said a few out of our party could go with an adult. However our shortest child was told she cannot go even though she went last year. I'm sorry she didn't shrink from last year to this year. They said her feet should be flat on the jet ski. They let her go last year so why can she not go this year? There is no consistency with their "safety"rules. Their "safety" rules change apparently from situation to situation considering we were able to take our daughter on jet skis lady year when she was quite a bit shorter. Too bad the children were excited to go and their excitement and experience ripped away from them today despite our planning. I would save your money and go to a better outdoor resort that is upfront and honest and explains their safety and expectations to you during the time you are making reservations. Unfortunately that type of customer service is VERY LACKING here. Be prepared to be turned away at the window unless you specifically ask about weather conditions and height requirements prior to booking and paying. We will be going to a different spot to jet ski and will not be coming back to this establishment for water rentals as we have had much better experiences at different establishments around the lake. All I can say is I have experienced better customer service. After saying that what we experienced was "terrible" the only response we received from multiple employees was "excuse me" or " sorry you can't go out" without an explanation as to why the consistency of their so called "safety rules" are inconsistent from year to year. Terrible. Stay away. Looking for my refund but have very little confidence this will go through considering how they handle customer service etc. Worst case comes to worst I will decline the charge with my bank.

We had booked for parasailing & we indeed had a great time in the air however the way we were treated by the the two workers on the boat - an Australian man who was the driver & the woman who was a hockey fan, I can't remember their names. But man, the way they played favorites on that boat ride was ridiculous. Not only did they pick & choose who they'd be kind to, but if you didn't buy their GoPro & photo packages they really made you feel bad for it by saying things like "oh we only sent you up higher if you were buying both" & force the GoPro on you without even asking if you wanted it or not. First of all, when I booked the experience, I selected the 1k feet incline so wth?! Anyways, it was safe, fun but not in the most comfortable experience on the boat. They were rude, inconsiderate & honestly I felt like they were a little racist. I wouldn't book with them again.

One of the worst experiences I've had with any outdoor rentals business. We were told to show up at 9am to claim our speedboat. They said they had no boats available but if we waited 1 hr there was 1 boat being fixed that we could use. We waited 2 hrs. We then chased the manager down and he told us there was nothing available. Commutation is god awful among the employees. Most of them are quite rude and unhelpful. The bald guy was a prick.

We went parasailing and Bryce and Brandon took very good care of us and the other groups who went out. They provided a good, safe, fun, and memorable experience for everyone on the boat!
