Activate Coquitlam

I wish they had a location closer to Greater Vancouver because I would go a lot more often! I absolutely had a blast and got a good workout in 😅 I love their various game options, but I definitely recommend going with at least 4 people as a lot of the games are difficult to pass only with 2 people. It requires a lot of energy and more hands, the better. 😂 They also have a Photo Booth where you can take photos during/or at the end of your game session, which gets sent to your email! This was definitely a pleasant surprise, and a LOT of fun for all ages. Our age group was from 30-45, and we all had such a fun time and cannot wait to go back. The games were exciting and challenging. We’d love to see some hand sanitizer pumps added into the game room, as it gets sweaty but overall this was a really great time and we wish there was a closer Vancouver location!

Spent my birthday at Activate and had SO MUCH FUN! Santiago took such great care of us. We were a group of six with my parents who needed a bit of guidance with some of the games and staff were readily available to provide help. We will definitely be back! Thanks Activate Team!

I recently visited Activate Coquitlam with my niece and nephew, and we were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The facility was clean, well-organized, and the activities were both engaging and challenging a fantastic way to stay active while having fun. I’d also like to highlight the exceptional service we received from the staff and Faraz, the manager. He was professional, attentive, and went out of his way to ensure everything ran smoothly for us. His support truly elevated the experience. I highly recommend Activate Coquitlam for families, groups, or anyone looking for a unique and interactive outing.

Don’t sit this one out parents! If you’re wanting to spend time with your kids, have fun, and get a workout in at the same time you have to do this! Being fitness oriented, my heart rate was consistently elevated especially in rooms like the mega grid!

This place is insanely fun! Quick tip: make sure to wear comfortable clothes because you’ll be jumping, running, and moving around a lot. You’re definitely going to break a sweat, but it’s so worth it! You’ve got to experience it at least once — and once you do, you’ll definitely want to come back. Highly recommended!

Excellent, excellent, excellent place to be in with your whole family, friends and team. Basically the best indoor game. Faraz and the whole team is very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back here again. Our family had a blast. Very recommendable. It is for any ages.

This is the kind of memory that's going to stick with me, and I can't wait to tell everyone I know. One of the most UNIQUE, exhilarating experiences I've ever had! I came with a group of friends - 4 in total - on a Sunday afternoon, and it was absolutely busy and crawling with young kids, teens, and parents. *** ARRIVE IN THE MORNING TO AVOID CROWDS *** They open 9am thru 11pm. GAMES Each room is equipped with different tools to get you and your friends to accomplish your objective. Expect button smashing, laser guns, LOTS of running, LOTS of hand-eye coordination, balls to pass & throw, puzzle-solving, and much more! Each room also comes with a competitive and cooperative mode, and when you beat Level 1 you get to select higher level difficulty. FACILITY Activate COQUITLAM location has 10 game rooms, group selfie room, plenty of storage lockers, a water fountain, and a giant TV scoreboard in the play area. (Washroom is inside play area at end of hallway on your left.) PROS There's nothing *quite* like this that I can find in Vancouver. E-SPOT in Richmond and REC ROOM in Brentwood & downtown are both fun arcades, but I think it pales in comparison to what ACTIVATE offers in variety, physical & mental stimulation, and amazing value. It's definitely worth coming back every couple of months in a year!! CONS Two things stuck out to me in my 1st experience at Activate Coquitlam. Aside from how busy weekends are, the games in all rooms are quite SHORT lasting only a few minutes per. While some may (and can) find it to be the perfect amount of time, I do think that after 90 minutes of playtime, it still felt overall short in each room. Kind of like getting a typical scoop of ice-cream and you finished it in 4 bites. You're expecting to enjoy it a little longer but it was over before you know it. The other problem I found was service to be a tad little slow? There's only 2 lanes so it makes sense only 2 staff can help customers. But it's still slow especially if it can and will get hectic and more groups starts piling in. This is more of a minor issue but I experienced the selfie room to glitch out on me during group photos. Everyone was fine but my white tshirt got greenscreened out so it wasn't registering in the camera/screen. Staff said it needs re-calibration... Not a deal-breaker but definitely annoying. OVERALL I found ACTIVATE COQUITLAM to be an amazing, ENJOYABLE experience, and one I will definitely come back for more with new & old exciting friends. Entry is well-worth the pricepoint and I STRONGLY RECOMMEND booking for 90-minute -- it's worth it.

I'm a regular player at the Activates in Edmonton, and was hoping for the same experience here, but was disappointed to see how busy it was. They allow too many players in, some games had line ups 2 or 3 parties deep. I feel like I spent half of my playtime just standing in line. Plus the games were way too short here, or maybe because there was always another group waiting to play that you never got to continue on to play the next level. There are people running around to try to catch a room with out a wait or a short line. And people will split their group to wait at multiple rooms, or they'll send one person out to wait for a game while they finish playing. It got a little out of hand. Plus people here don't really practice good game etiquette of picking up all your balls from the ground and putting it back in the pit. Activate is really fun, but I think it's best to leave it until the hype dies down a bit and it's not so busy. It really wasn't as fun as it could be today because of all the line ups and how some of the people acted. They also don't appear to maintain the games very well, there were balls in need of air for the Hoops game, a bunch of balls were rammed in around the play area for the other ball game that I think only half the balls were left. Free parking available, if you can find a spot. The lot is busy.

Oh my gosh! What fun! This interactive game room has finally come to British Columbia and it was an amazing experience! Our favourites from our visit were MEGA GRID - step in the coloured/safe zones before time runs out! A big game of the floor is lava but with pixels and colours! HIDE - press all the buttons in order but don't get caught by the eye! STRIKE - throw balls at the targets before time runs out! Asteroid was so much fun and challenging HOOPS - just throw basketballs into nets, different types of games and levels makes it harder than you think! CONTROL - follow the instructions on the screen! Make sure you do it before the timer runs out or you lose lives! As someone who does not like to do physical activities, this was the perfect place to have fun while doing exercise! There was lots of running, jumping, throwing, ducking and stepping involved in the games which made it super fun! Pricing is super reasonable at $28/60 mins or $38/90 mins! We did 90 mins and it was a perfect amount of time to try everything and replay our favourites!

Wow, what a fun spot in Coquitlam! Easily spent 1.5 hours playing all the games here with our friends. Loved the ability to just tap the wristband to enter into the rooms. Got a good sweat going on with all the running and cardio! I liked the mix of physical and puzzle games.
