Actum Hotel

Beautiful rooms in the heart of Kranj. Spacious, clean and comfortable, you can also ask for a Jacuzzi in some rooms for a bit of extra (worth it). Staff is very friendly and helpful! We planned on improvising and exploring the oldtown, but they told us about all the sights and where to find them. We also got advice for the rest of our trip in Slovenia. Breakfast was also very nice here, they make good eggs and coffee. Overall, great experience

It was the first time for me to stay in Actum although am back and forth to Slovenia for the last 5 years now. But I have to say, it’s a shame that this was my first time to stay in Actum!! The staff are very very friendly in a way that they actually made me feel that am staying in my own home not just a hotel! The location is perfect, the cleanliness, the help and support they are willing to provide is just spectacular!! From now on, this will the only place I’ll be staying at whenever am in Slovenia…

This is a comfortable, cosy, quirky hotel, and we loved our stay here. The staff were honestly the best we encountered throughout our trip in Slovenia. They were attentive, kind and very helpful. My partner was catching a 5am flight and they offered to make him a packed lunch because he was missing out on breakfast. I was confused about the bus service, so they showed me where it was, provided various times and gave advice about how long I would need to check in at the airport. The room itself was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. I really loved this hotel, and would gladly return.

A very nice hotel in a convenient central location. Room, although small was adequate, but to be fair the hotel was fully booked and it was the last room. The staff were superb. The gentleman (Adam) on reception was polite and very helpful. We had breakfast which was probably one of the best we have seen. The lady serving us breakfast was a real delight who spoke excellent english. She was bright and cheerful and made me and my wife feel very welcome. Highly recomended hotel with quirky surroundings

This is a contradictory hotel. Our room was spacious, clean with a very large comfortable bed and quality bedding. It’s located in the pedestrian area of the town so we had a peaceful nights sleep with no noise from the street below or other rooms. I have awarded 4 stars because it is quirky. We had a jacuzzi in our room which takes 30 minutes to fill using a hosepipe but we were not allowed to use it without an extra charge. Our room was badly lit as is the entire hotel making it quite depressing. There are photographs of Rolls Royces and Bentleys throughout the building along with associated memorabilia. We had James Bond poster hanging on the wall. Kranj is an ideal stopover close to Ljubljana airport. Despite the quirkiness I would still recommend this hotel.

We had an early morning flight and we arrived at the Actum hotel before noon. We were expecting to drop our suitcases at the hotel and to wait for the official check-in time, but we were really pleasantly surprised that we were offered the use of one of our rooms right away and at no extra charge! Overall, during our whole stay the staff at the reception was very nice and helpful.||The decor of the hotel is quirky and surprises you every time you turn a corner. Our rooms were very clean on arrival and were kept so during our stay. The beds were comfortable, the hotel was quiet and we definitely slept well. There was an unseasonal heatwave during our stay and it was a relief that air-conditioning worked really well.||Breakfast was served buffet style. The food selection was a mixture of local and international items. We especially enjoyed the fresh baked goods. Our waiter was a super friendly and fun lady, who was happy to share tips on how to get around and what to see and do.

The location of the hotel is good, the rooms and the breakfast also, but there is a problem with the heating system, did not work for three days, and it was pretty cold to stay in.

Four of us (two couples) spent four nights here recently and could not speak highly enough of the friendly, helpful staff, particularly Tatiana, the manager who was brilliant. Located in Kranj, a great little town from which to explore this lovely country. Free parking, great coffee and great breakfast.
