This aquaduct is really huge and long. The one in Segovia is longer. This one is also quite good in tact. The pillars are 23 meters high. A good walking path. You can't climb the pillars, sadly. But this beautiful aquaduct gives a wonderful view from the city of Merida.

It's free compare to the other one in Segovia, here is looked more aged and smaller but each arc structure seems last longer.

This is an amazing aqueduct on the outskirts of Merida. Absolutely stunning and beautiful. It is huge and has storks nesting on top. There is also an abundance of wildlife in the stream that runs underneath such as Ibis and Stilts. Really a cool experience walking under this massive aqueduct dating to Roman times. Don’t miss!
