We have heard so many great things about Ad Astra that we decided to take the drive out. Our experience was overall good. This was a different feel and atmosphere than we were expecting. The food was more pricey for the area and we had a moment of disappointment when one of our half pound Burgers came out shy of a half pound, another table had juiced plump truly half pound looking burgers and only 1 of ours turned out that way. Overall we all enjoyed our meals, as we reflected after the initial disappointment with the burger, we were overall happy with the service and meal.

I've lived in Kansas for 14yrs and this is the best burger I've had here! I got the Bison Burger with Onion rings and my son got the Steak with Steak fries! Everything was absolutely delicious and I'm a big foodie! The people were great including the other customers that bought my son dessert! If we are ever back in town we will definitely eat here again! Thank you for a great night!

Smaller portions and we're out of some things. Almost all sandwiches. The price of the basket vs the chicken sandwich didn't make too much sense. Very friendly and the grilled cheese was good.

What a quaint, warm restaurant in the Flint Hills offering incredibly delicious steaks plus other dinner options. My steak was pure perfection, and the atmosphere is so cozy and comforting. Staff were super kind. Chef came out to say hi and ask how I liked the steak. An awesome all-around dining experience!

First time visiting, I'll definitely be back, had the prime steak and it was cooked exactly as ordered, flavorful, tender and properly portioned. The appetizer of roasted brussel sprouts was actually very good (assuming you like them at all of course) and the limeade was great. The owner was friendly and attentive. I like out of the way unique places but of course they have to be good, this checked all the boxes for sure.

Wow! Came to Strong City to visit Tallgrass Prairie and stopped by this place for dinner. First off, the server/bartender was incredible! We ordered lots of cocktails and they were all amazing!! Secondly, the food was also delicious! Very awesome and will return if ever in the area! Five stars.

Haven’t been here in years, must be under new ownership. $16 for chicken strips? They were the cheapest chick and fries you could find. Fries were undercooked and gross. Bison burger was small, Rueben was almost meatless for $20? We will NEVER be back. Service was fine but the food is absolute garbage, quality and portions.

When we walked in, the sign said "wait to be seated," so we waited. The tables had not been cleared off from the last customer's, and we were told to sit ourselves. The seats themselves had multiple cracks in the vinyl. The only notable items were the onion rings and French fries. The burgers were super bland. Seriously, they didn't even reach the flavor of cardboard. Also, you could taste the burnt carbon flavor from it being overcooked. It literally felt like somebody just put Ash in my mouth. And I'm honestly not a big fan of having multiple flies being around and getting on the food either. We didn't finish our meal. If my teenager didn't even eat a quarter of his burgers, you know there's something wrong. I would also say that the cost is overpriced for the quality of food. Their service itself wasn't bad, but also not note worthy. Frankly, I'm surprised by the owners response and no desire for improvement.
