Ada Restaurant

One of my favourite restaurants in Auckland. I hadn’t been back for a while as my last experience with the food wasn’t the best. This time I heard there was a new chef, so we decided to give it another go, and definitely a 10/10! The menu is more focused on Spanish cuisine this season, the flavours really stand out, and the quality is excellent. The ceviche/tiradito was so good, as well as the patatas bravas! Beautiful presentation and, as always, great service. Big shoutout to the new chef. Highly recommend coming in and trying the new menu.

We went there a few days ago for their set lunch menu. The food was just ok and nothing stood out. The steak was too chewy that my husband didn’t even finish 1 piece. However the service was lovely and we certainly enjoyed the atmosphere and interior design. I’d recommend the restaurant for special occasions 100%. I do hope they improve their menu.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was incredible. The decor alone was stunning and truly set a memorable tone. We found the drinks perfect and the main food to be fabulous. Beyond the quality of the offerings, the service was exceptional; everyone was friendly and highly attentive. The atmosphere was delightful and very pleasant. Our single disappointment was the dessert; the rice pudding didn't quite live up to the rest of the meal. Despite that small note, we will definitely be returning!

We went here for a shared lunch. The menu wasn't that exciting. It was sourdough bread, pasta, beef and potatoes and finished off either rice pudding. I found the potatoes too oily and the beef too raw. The rice pudding was yummy but was hoping for something more exciting than just rice pudding. Overall it didn't leave me wanting to come back for more

I came here on a solo dinner, although my waiter said it is designed to be family style (shared plates). I took her recommendations, and they were all amazing. I had the oysters, duck liver parfait, tempura courgette, and market fish. Service was very attentive and made sure everything was good and if I needed anything. Would highly recommend visiting here

I enjoy fine dining, but cannot say I am a "foodie" with a fully calibrated palate. That said, I was taken back by how masterful each dish was - aesthetically pleasing, full of flavor, and unique. This was an experience, one of the best meals I've had in all of my travels. I did not have a reservation, dined solo, and had a seat at the bar with no wait. Despite the bar setting, the atmosphere felt private and the service was exemplary. I highly recommend the Crudo. I followed the servers suggestion here, and was thankful I did so.

We really wanted to enjoy Ada because we had heard so many good things but unfortunately can’t recommend this. The food was not worth the price. For instance the lamb didn’t have much flavour, was undercooked and hard to chew. + our raw beef tartare had a hair in it. A friend ended up eating it and it was quite unpleasant. Our reservation was also hidden at the very back of the restaurant with no light so we couldn’t read the menu or see what we were eating. Overall: - food wasn’t amazing - brusque service - poor atmosphere - hair in our raw beef dish *We were given a replacement ‘on the house’, but combined with the other things it definitely just made our experience worse.

Ada restaurant, while a little outside of "downtown", is a must if you're visiting Auckland. The food was carefully prepared and was delicious, with a very diversified menu thought for everyone. The freshness of the ingredients is one of the highlight. I would recommend having someone with you to share the plates as you'll want to taste as many items in the menu as you can. Good wine menu and a good choice of non-alcoholic beverages. The lemonade was superbe! Additionally, the decor is really spectacular. Great spot for a few Instagram shots.
