Adams Bistro

Came highly recommended by locals. Tried for the first time on a Saturday for brunch. Raymond was my server and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in recent memory. The menu was extensive with many great options. I tried the shrimp omelette. It was so well done!

This is a gem of a place, that everyone should have! They have have everything from comfort food to more "sophisticated" dishes. The staff is always lovely! Akeela is one of our favorites but genuinely any of them any day are always amazing!

I read the menu, read the reviews, and decided that Adams Bistro was going to be on my wishlist. I had lunch there with my niece and 14 year old great nephew. I like all of the artwork on the walls, the place is nice and cozy, the lighting could be a little brighter, but that's a minor detail. When ordering my food I played it safe, and did the meat and two sides. I had the country fried chicken with white sausage gravy, fried okra, mac and cheese and a biscuit. My chicken was tender and juicy, I didn't have to use a knife, the okra was crispy on the outside, but not fried too hard, the sausage gravy tasted good with the fried chicken, and the buttermilk biscuit was so good as I dipped it into the gravy,(country I know:), the mac and cheese tasted like it was made with sharp cheddar cheese, eggs and milk, not too dry and not runny, just right, from scratch!!! For dessert, which I couldn't finish after the big portion of food they put on my plate(not complaining), I had Chris's Chocolate Silk pie. Let me tell you Chocolate OVERLOAD, whipped cream topping with shaved chocolate, creamy chocolate filling and a chocolate cookie crust with almonds! I thoroughly ENJOYED my first dining experience at Adams Bistro, it won't be my last visit, next time I want to try the BBQ Chicken Pasta! I recommend giving Adam a try my picky nephew even liked it , and wants to know when we're going back!!

Absolute gem! Adams was my wife’s favorite restaurant before we met, and has quickly become my favorite as well. The food has always been delicious, service has always been great, and the local art hanging on the walls lets you know you’re in a local restaurant, not some massive chain. I highly recommend Adams Bistro!

Went here for lunch with my sis & let’s just say the best food ever! I had veggie stir fry and couldn’t finish it all. The portions are nice size. The staff is amazing. The restaurant is not huge but perfect size. Will be back for sure! Oh & the Brussel sprouts simple melt in ur mouth with the crispness & softness

Adam's bistro came highly recommended from family and friends and the food did not disappoint. The food was really good, and the service was good. You can tell the restaurant is very popular, so the sitting is a little close to other parties. but it's not to the point where it's uncomfortable. They give you a lot of food. One thing that did concern my family was the signs stating that you cannot share food without an additional charge. so there was confusion whether or not we would be able to try each other's food. But I think this is to deter people from sharing one meal. But it is a lot of food for one person, we each had leftovers to take home. One meal is a little costly but that's because of the amount that they give you and how good it is. I can't say I'd take the entire family again, because of the cost. But definitely a date spot, or a get together with friends.

“As long as you are happy, I’m happy” those were the words of Merdad N., our server, and he indeed worked for that. Excellent service! Stopped here because it has been in my list since forever. Definitely worth it. The food was tasty on every bite. Something so basic as Chicken Tenders was crafted phenomenally. Their Mac and Cheese is delicious, and so is their mashed potatoes. My spouse had the grilled pork chops and it was tender and juicy. Really really good! The biscuit is cloudy soft and rich in flavor. Dessert’s Chocolate Cake is moist and rich in flavors. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

My first time going to Adams Bistro in a LONG time was during Greenville's lengthy storm induced power outage last year (2024). I had been meaning to go there again and just never did but when I was looking for a safe haven and good food, they were open if you could pay cash. They were all incredibly nice and welcoming and the food was very tasty. I came back 2 nights later and my same waiter, Chris, recognized me and placed me at "my table" from the previous visit. When I left I asked if he could do a couple of cups of ice for me which he willingly did. A couple of nights later the power still wasn't back on, so I had the temerity to drop in again to ask Chris if I could purchase a couple of cups of ice to help tide me over. He gave me a full bag - No Charge, :) I'll never forget that kindness. I eat there at least once a month now as a treat, alone or with friends. The menu has a wide assortment of choices, all delicious, and there is always enough to take home a "doggie" bag (I don't have a dog :) ) for a second meal. The atmosphere is usually excellent even on crowded time. They turn over their clientele efficiently and they also have an outside serving area, so I've never had to wait long for a table. The wait staff are ALL very friendly and efficient and many have greeted me by name when I came in, even when they hadn't waited on me yet. This is not only an excellent spot to dine, but it is also locally owned, so I'm even happier that it is such a good place that I'm proud to give it a good review here.

Great food and very extensive menu. I never order spaghetti when I go out but the sauce they have at Adam's is the BEST I've ever tasted

Went to Adam's to celebrate my friends 50th anniversary. His wife died last year and it was always a special place for them and us. Food is incredible regardless of what you like. My friend had shrimp, my wife had salmon salad and I had lasagna. All were well prepared and well served. It's not a huge place so seating is close. Amazingly the noise level is good. Service is always great and beverages are constantly being refilled. This is a great place and has great memories. Very much worth a visit.

Food was amazing and great service. Will definitely be back to try more of the extensive menu! At the table of 4, 2 got the stir fry, 1 pasta dish, and the meat and two. Everyone loved their meal and portions were large. Food came quickly, we were in on a weeknight. Appetizer of blue cheese chips was incredible.

I've always loved this place and the food is amazing. I don't spare expense on my meals but today when I was denied an extra slice of lemon for my tea... unless I paid for it; I was totally turned off. I have eaten all over this city and the world. I've never once been told I would have to pay for a slice of lemon for my tea. The owners should really re think their policy on lemons.

I haven't found a better country fried steak in the area, nor in Charlotte where I live! Good selection with generous portions. Service is very good. Can get crowded at times, although there is outdoor seating if weather allows. Tables are a bit too close together.

Food was so good and fresh! Bacon, egg, & cheese burger was delicious! It was a thick patty so I couldn't eat it all in one sitting, but it was juicy throughout and had a nice grilled flavor. Cooked exactly the way I ordered it! The chicken fajita potato skins were amazing! The potato was crispy and the sauce had a little spice to it. My 2 y/o nephew loved them. (I have a picture of him giving a thumbs up haha) It could honestly be an entree itself. Chicken tenders were tasty. Roasted chicken and pork chop were both full of flavor and not dry at all. Service was good, especially one lady (I believe may be one of the Adams family members). She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. They have a good number of tables inside and a few outside. Brunch special on Saturdays. Plenty of options for anyone. This is a nice place to have a meal with family, friends, or alone.

OMG, my mind is blown!! I'm trying to figure out what rock I've been hiding behind because I've lived in Greenville my whole life and am just now tasting this piece of heaven!! The country fried steak was seriously HUGE!! Haven't tasted anything like it before either. The Chicken Parmesan better than other Italian restaurants I've been to in the area and the atmosphere of sitting outside by a heater with a blanket on the back of the chair and watching airplanes come in was just the cherry on top!!

Raymond was our friendly server today. Delicious burger for our late lunch. Quick stop, great service and excellent food!!! They have a very extensive menu.

This is a favorite place of ours! They have an amazing blackened chicken alfredo dish here that pulls us back often. The salads and sandwiches are also fantastic. The chicken cristo was delicious. I also love their crispy brussel sprouts. The service here is always top notch. My only complaint is that it is pricey, which keeps us from going too often.

We stopped in here on a Friday evening for dinner and it was packed. The staff worked quickly to get us seated and the service was warm and welcoming. As other reviews have noted, this place has quite an extensive menu. It's the perfect place if you can't quite figure out what you want because they have a little bit of everything on the menu. I opted for the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was by far one of the best I've had. It was the right amount of spice and loaded with blue cheese. I'm excited to come back and try other things on the menu. It also has a great comfy neighborhood kind of feel to it.

I had the chicken carbonara which was awesome. Generous portions of meat and authentic sauce.

Nice local spot. Came here for girl's night. Their hummus is delicious and filling. I decided to get the meat and veggies with the country fried chicken, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. All were good with very generous portions. Service was ok, our drinks were empty a lot.

The food was A-1 The service was great. We went in the late afternoon and had good ambience. Loved our waitor chris as he listened to my food allergies . The menu has good choices for vegan or vegetarian! We will definitely return often

Ribeye Magali and a loaded baked potato. My wife had the chicken sonoma and loaded mashed. Both plates were fantastic and so was our server. We only get one date night a month, Adams Bistro will definitely get a repeat visit!

Love going here when I'm in the area! Food is always fantastic! I've had their Ruben sandwich which is huge for me with almost half the plate full of nicely seasoned French fries. Everything always comes out pipping hot! Their potato soup is very good also and is quite filling and if I'm not really hangry & want something a little lighter that's my go to! Service is always excellent. Prices are a bit higher but I really feel you more than get your money's worth!

We had drinks and chicken carbonara and, filet mignon and baked potato both with garlic bread. Everything was excellent and the service terrific. We went early so the noise level was very low. Great meal.

Wow. And not in a good way. Like the lady who recently gave a one star review, we were gravely disappointed with our visit today. They served a horrendous Roasted Chicken Pesto Salad to me. The chicken looked so completely unappetizing that my husband wouldn't even taste it. I ate some of it, because I detest wasting money, and we were traveling, with no more time to stop at another place. There wasn't much pesto flavor, and the salad was basically a Greek salad with this "pesto chicken" thrown on. Hubby said the marinara on his Baked Spaghetti with meat sauce was sweet, and the quality was like sauce out of a can. We will not return.

The local ownership brought me here for lunch on my last day in Greenville and it's a good thing, otherwise we would have ate lunch here everyday I was in town. The food, whew! THE BEST chicken tenders I've ever eaten!!! Akella's service was on point too! We sat out on the beautiful patio they have and she was very attentive even on the patio. I will be back later this year and I will be here for sure!!

Small and quiet. Nice place for a romantic dinner. Food was excellent, I had the chicken fried chicken, steamed vegetables and potatoes. The potatoe soup was on point. Will be back to sample other dishes.

We love it here! I have gotten the chicken cordon bleu several times--highly recommend. If you're in the mood for a delicious comfort dinner, this is the spot. Next time I will be trying the breaded Brussels. The table next to us ordered them, and they looked amazing. Prices are a little on the higher end but the portions are huge. You will leave with leftovers.

Great visit once again. It was so good I forgot to take pictures! Our waitress Jordan was a sweetheart and very knowledgeable of the food. My husband had the bone in dark meat roasted chicken with macaroni and broccoli. My daughter had the blackened salmon pasta. I enjoyed the grilled pork chop, grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. We had the Thai shrimp as an appetizer and a chocolate layered cake for dessert. Everything was so good and the atmosphere pleasant!

Adam's Bistro has consistently great food. Everything I've ever ordered is really delicious and the wait staff are very friendly and efficient.

Order take out today and my husband was told to pay for their mistake from them messing up or order. My husband was also pushed. If you are black stay away from this racism!! We eat her a lot and spend our hard working money. It's embarrassing to be treated like you did something wrong In front of of pp. we spent 150 dollar but we'll never go back and will spread the word!

I ate here on a Tues. The ambiance is not great. No bar seats. Tables are close together. That said, my meal was great. I ordered the blackened pasta with chicken. It was amazing!!! I paired it with a glass of red wine. My only negative comment is that it was slow service in that I sat with a dirty dish in front of me for a long time before i was asked if i wanted a to go box. And after I cashed out my server did not pick it up but someone else.

Placed an order for a well done hamburger steak with no mushrooms. Waited about 25 minutes to get the order the meat is pink, loaded with mushrooms. I call back to have the order fixed....Mrs. Adam's herself took the bag where I placed the mushrooms bc I don't eat them, & I was going to precede to eat the food bc I had already left the store but the meat was almost bloody. She said she wasn't replacing my $48 dollar (2Plates) order she would put it in the microwave. BEYOND DISRESPECTFUL....MRS. ADAM's is DISRESPECTFUL BITCH!

I ate at Adam's last night for the first time in months. My husband and I use to eat there weekly before his passing. It was just as good as I remembered it. All 4 ladies in our party ordered something different and all were very pleased. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge. Our service was excellent as well! I had leftovers tonight and they were awesome. We will definitely be back soon

Adams Bistro is a delicacy! If you're in Greenville, you have to come here! The menu is extensive!! The chicken cordon bleu reminded me of my mom's recipe! The chicken was moist and the ham was sweet and cooked to perfection! The Caesar dressing tasted homemade and had a flavorful zest to it. Trust me. Do yourself a favor and visit when you come to the area!

Can't believe it Folks, but I had never eaten at Adams Bistro until Lunch today. Now I must say the Financial Advisor was the reason that I came here. Now if he handles my account as good as he picks restaurants I'm in great hands!!! This place is special indeed. The atmosphere is quaint, and Food is one to rave about. Lucky for Us, Bella was our Server and Yes what a outstanding Waitress she is. So, if in the area just off Heyward Road check this place out. You will thank me for sure.

I have been here a few times now, and the food is delicious. The outdoor seating is nice too when the weather is good. However, I was pretty unhappy with my last experience here. They put cheese all over my chicken marsala when it was not specified on the menu (like other dishes were), and I cannot eat cheese. I have never had any restaurant put cheese on my marsala as that is not typical for that dish. At first, I thought it was just sprinkled on top as a kind of garnish, so I thought no worries, I'll just scrape it off instead of having to send a dish back. However, once I went to go eat the pasta underneath my chicken, I found that the noodles were covered in melted cheese, so there was no way I could eat them. I did not order cheesy pasta and just asked specifically for penne noodles as my side. When we got the server back over, she said she couldn't take the dish back or bring me any more pasta without charging us for another side even though I told her this was not what I had ordered and could not have cheese due to an allergy. So, I had to pay $5 for another side of noodles to eat with my dinner and scrape off the rest myself. It is very frustrating that the restaurant was not willing to fix my food when it was not what I ordered and something I cannot have - if it had specified cheese on the menu, I would have asked for it to be removed from the start. This was really disappointing because I did like this restaurant, but I cannot stand when a restaurant is unwillingly to make their errors correct and provide good customer service.

Great food and service! Staff is always friendly. We love everything about Adam's. Highly recommend for either lunch or dinner.

Whenever we are in Greenville we try to stop here. The food was fantastic- the salads were crisp and delicious, the Caesar dressing tasted like it was made in house. My wife had the chopped steak special and really enjoyed it. I can never stray from ordering the chicken Marsala it was delicious. Every seat was taken and the service did not miss a beat. Our waiter was great. He was quick to refill our drinks and take very good care of us. Cannot wait for our next visit to Greenville

Went to lunch here and couldn't believe the selection on the menu. There is so much to choose. Portions are very generous, both of us had to take a to go box. I had a club that was great. My wife had the SanteFe burger and that thing was a flavor bomb. Salads all look amazing. It was fun just to see what other guests were ordering. Service was great! Definitely will return.

I've only heard good things about Adam's! So I tried them for my Birthday and ordered the Blackened Salmon Pasta. The food was SO GOOD that I did a fat kid dance, which broke the clasp on my halter top! Of course, I was seated at the entrance of restaurant and already flashed the entire restaurant. The beautiful Bella was my server and she not only found a paperclip, she helped me fix my top! In conclusion, the food is SO GOOD, you'll come up outta your clothes! Yummm!

Nice eating experience. Quaint comfortable inside seating with outside option as well. Generous portions. Only thing that could have been better was the Bloody Mary. Prefer a spicier version. A few desserts are made in house. Delicious. And other selections brought in but just as tasty and large servings. Service was great. Waitress attentive and accommodating.

This was maybe my third time going and I ordered the Lowcountry shrimp pasta. Clearly it had bacon bits in it and tasted disgusting. I'd like to also add that I had an appetizer and a salad also came with my entrée when I complained to the waiter about the pasta having bacon bits instead of real bacon, he insisted that it was real bacon just chopped in small pieces. I asked if I can exchange my meal or have it taken off of the bill he told me no. I asked to speak to the manager, and when he went back to talk to the manager, I overheard him telling him that I wanted to refund because I had gotten full off of my appetizer and salad, which was not the case. Once I spoke with the manager and asked if I could replace my entrée or have it taken off of the bill he also told me no so I just decided to pay the bill and leave. I ended up paying $75 for an appetizer, two drinks and an entree that I didn't eat.

Just had a wonderful grilled salmon salad for late lunch! As always, the service was excellent and the food was excellent. I only wish someone would tell the management that those silly masks don't do anything at all to control the spread of respiratory viruses, and they are unhealthy to those who are wearing them, I feel sorry for them, I would not work under those conditions but I guess I am glad there are those who will.

Love the food, love their service. We've eaten there several times and it's consistently the same quality service and food. The helpings are large and the service is very accommodating. Quality place all around!!!

Decided to check this place out with some friends while visiting Greenville for the holidays and I'm sure glad I did. We had a group of 6 so I called ahead for a reservation. Glad I did because this place was packed when we got there. Their menu was pretty extensive with plenty to pick from. They inside is nothing fancy but still felt warm and welcoming. The staff was amazing and our waitress was easy to work with. I had the ribs and chicken meal and the ribs were some of the best ones I've had. Plenty of meat on the bones so you are getting your money's worth for sure. Everyone at the table got something different and no one complained. I would highly recommend this place as a go to for picky eaters. By far one of the better dining experiences on my trip and with their food options you can't go wrong checking this place out.

Friendly, professional staff. Nice "old-school" atmosphere. Our server was very patient when we came with a group of 6, including 2 long-time residents of Greenville who had enthusiastically recommended Adams Bistro. So we joined them and another couple for dinner. However, the quality of the food we ordered was not what you might expect for the price. We used to live in Atlanta and we paid Atlanta prices for food that was not impressive. The salad I ordered was gigantic, but blah and wine selections were not great. On our second visit to Adams Bistro, my husband and I ordered ribeye steaks that were very thin and 80% fat and gristle. Sadly, we won't be back. Maybe the menu could be pared down to what the kitchen can do well, instead of offering so many different options. We visited in the summer of 2022 and then again around January/Feb. 2023.

Like the majority of restaurants in GVL- outdoor ambience leaves a lot to be desired, but inside is quaint and the menu goes on for miles. Excellent service, great food and nice wines by the glass.

Great food and service. Parking is always at a premium; but all good. Look forward to my next visit.
