Nice traditional full-sized restaurant near the train station. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating with a lot of character. Sort of family-style tables inside, but still roomy and comfortable. I had the bargain lunch of the day, cheeseburger and fries, and it wasn't the best choice in retrospect. There are a lot of tasty local dishes on the bargain menu and the main menu. The burger and fries were good, but with some grizzle, and I should have salted it. Very good straight-faced service and quick delivery of the food. I wouldn't order the burger again, but it was a perfectly fine meal for €6,70 or whatever!

All in all it was really good. The food was really good and tasty, they have a wide variety of different kinds of wine and other drinks. The service was also very good and the staff was so friendly. You might need a translator though if you do not speak Portuguese :) recommended for sure 👍

The food is super delicious and fresh, as you can see the fish in the freezer. The staff was very attentive to us and helpful. Affordable.

Wait staff are so friendly. Steak on a stone was the Best. Dourada Full Fish was tasteful, filet Pescada fish was a delightful. Price is very reasonable. A must stop if you’re in Faro.

This was the place where we had our first meal in Portugal and exceeded our expectations with the affordability and the taste of food. Really loved the atmosphere inside the shop with antique furniture and decorations. We had Grilled Sardines and that’s 10/10 and Pork Stew 10/10. Also we had bread + cheese and Sangria drink (more like a cocktail) Really loved the experience and the service was next level. Cheers to the team.

Came to Faro for 3 days and ate here twice. We got Monkfish rice (with clams and shrimp) both times because it was that good. The portion is huge and a good dish to share. We also love the grilled sardines. Saw some sangria and desserts but we didnt get them. Looked really good though. A hidden gem in Faro! Really recommend to anyone coming to Faro. Its a Cash-only restaurant!

It is near the train station but would never had found it without a recommendation. Very busy but luckily got a table straight away you sit on long benches and semi shared a long table with another couple. Very interesting decor and full of character but very busy (Saturday evening) and took a while to order. Waitrose told us we had over ordered so shared grilled fresh sardines as starter. Very tasty. Mains also took a while to be served. My Algarve steak (lots of onions) and my wife’s grilled Iberia pork was nice and filling. House red wine good. . There was unfortunately a medical emergency involving a member of staff. I hope she was ok but staff were definitely over stretched. Cash only. €63 bill for food, wine, beer and water. We also left a good tip. They deserved it.

Managed to get a table very late which is a credit to the staff. Grilled sardines and potatoes were really tasty and very fresh. The bill was incredibly reasonable too. For two meals, wine each, water and bread was €25. Very happy. Worth a visit.

Best. Shrimp. Of. My. Life. Stopped in after getting off the train nearby with two friends last summer. When I say I have thought about those shrimp everyday since, I mean it. The staff was pleasant and welcoming, but did not bother us much as well. Had some yummy wine too, but the shrimp is absolutely to die for. If you are in Faro, highly, highly recommend.

This was a short walk from the train station and looked good! We received complimentary bread and butter shortly after being seated outside. After browsing through the menu, we decided to share the sardines and the arroz tamboril. The sardines were so tasty! I liked the flavor, but there were too many bones. The rice dish was hearty and flavorful. This hole in the wall is worth trying if you're in the area.

Fish was amazing! The salad and potatoes made a pretty healthy dinner and satisfied my hunger. The waiters were so friendly that they saved some clams for us (appetizer) for the next day , since they ran out. 10/10 would come here again when visiting Portugal.

I had almost 3 hours to kill before my train to Lisbon and had the good fortune to find this lovely restaurant only a very short walk from the train station. Carrying one bag and a set of golf clubs I was definitely on the "self conscious" side of things as I entered the restaurant. Two waiters saw me lumber through the front door and immediately came to my assistance. I was quickly relieved of my load and seated in a very warm and welcoming way. The next two hours or so were great. I had one of the day's specials (Grouper) which was perfectly prepared. The house white wine was just fine as were, after a pause, the expresso and desert. Service was warm and friendly, but not intrusive. Definitely recommend.
