I stayed here for a couple of weeks. Let’s just say that the lady who runs it is openly racist. First few times I spoke to her she wouldn’t stop going on about politics and about how she thinks a certain religion is a “death cult”.||She regularly screams and curses at guests who she doesn’t like. Even late at night when people are trying to sleep. I’ve also seen her chuck guests laundry on the ground because she needs to use the washing line.||She also has a tendency to just randomly come into people’s rooms without asking. One time she came into my room saying she’d lost her drill. Another tendency of hers is to just randomly move people from one room to another. Many guests I stayed with were confused by this and complained about having to pack up their bags and move to a different room every few nights.||There’s renovations going on in the hostel. Based on previous reviews it seems like these have been going on for months, so enjoy the construction noises. It was also a huge pain to drag my bags up the stairs, only to find a huge ladder blocking half the stairway.||The hostel itself is filthy. I stayed there for long enough to know that the rooms are never cleaned between guests. There’s no soap in the bathrooms. If you put your bags under the bed they’ll come out sticky and covered in dust. One of my roommates found a cockroach in his bed, and the kitchen is crawling with flies.||Speaking of the kitchen, they have a free food section in there. I checked the best before dates, and some of the items expired years ago.||My bed was a top bunk and it didn’t even have a ladder. Thankfully I’m fit enough to climb up onto the top bunk, but I can imagine this would be difficult for many people. One of my roommates beds was literally broken, like the frame had snapped. So he had to find a crate to put underneath it to prop it up. ||As for the vibe, it’s mostly older men. A lot of druggies and dodgy types. Definitely not a sociable place. Not a safe place to be, some of the bathrooms don’t even have working locks. So people may walk in on you using the toilet or showering.

CBD free transport is really convenient, the vibe was so amazing, we had a ball. Value for money, omg where can you stay with your gf's under $40 Considering limited staff the facilities and cleanliness was perfectly acceptable. We read the reviews before we booked, nothing like our great experience

NEVER GO THERE Nightmare hostel, i’ve been since 3 years in many hostels but i never saw that in my entier life I thought i was in prison, room definitely dirty as you can’t imagine, maccas paper under the bed, bed broken, bathroom with hairs, people really weird, anything clean in this hostel. Host never here, so if you have any problem they can’t figure it out straight away. If you want to go there good luck.

When we arrived at the hotel, there was no staff available to assign us a room, so we had to wait over three hours until someone showed up. The room we were given was completely different from how it appeared in the photos online, and we noticed the presence of people behaving suspiciously, though we tried to stay positive.We had paid for a six-day stay, but on the first night, something happened that I had never experienced before. While we were sleeping, we heard someone trying to open our door. Fortunately, we had placed a lock on it, so the person couldn’t get in. We quickly went to check and saw someone running down the stairs; we tried to catch them, but couldn’t. The next day, while packing our belongings and requesting a refund, we encountered another guest complaining that their items had been stolen. This raises a serious concern: how is it possible that unknown people have access to rooms while guests are sleeping or away? The experience at this hotel was extremely negative: the energy of the place is bad, and the type of guests staying there seem problematic. I do not recommend this hotel; I advise anyone considering staying here to think very carefully about whether this is the right place for their vacation.

FILTHY! Photos on booking sites are deceptive from years ago. ||||Bathrooms n showers are so disgusting that the reception guy hasn't used them in weeks. Stinks from 3-5 metres away. ||||Floors haven't been vacuumed in weeks. Wouldn't cook in kitchen due to hygiene reasons. No stairwell & hallway lighting, so dangerous. No toilet paper. Cleaning products left lying around like it's do-it-yourself. Painting gear & ladder left in hallway.|||| Dust on sheets in dorm beds. Cockroaches aplenty. You wouldn't allow your girlfriend to stay there. ||||Not up to 3rd world country standards.Seen better in dodgy India.||Why hasn't this place been shut down already? Wouldn't pass a government inspection. ||||STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH & SAFETY...!

This place was foul. Maggots in the lockers, doors with holes smashed in. Kitchen was putrid.Looks like no one ever cleans this place.Spend that little extra and go somewhere better

Emailed for a late arrival because the phone numbers weren't connected. No reply. Arrived late at night and called the help phone number, no answer. Ended up sleeping on a bench because I didn't have a room

Think twice before any booking ! Some rooms can be really dirty You’d like to sleep in sometimes clean and there is nothing about that in there.
