Adelaide Paringa

Room were pretty standard - couple of broken lights, doors, the bathroom door from the inside looked like someone had punched it. The window didn't shut fully and it was kind of a nuisance. No microwave in the room, had to use the reception one which again shuts after dark, so good luck eating leftovers in the morning from last night's takeaway. Staff - Saira was very friendly and I loved chatting with her. Location - the location is the best part. Nothing could beat it. Too many food options, wow. But do keep in mind that you'd hear endless chatter from noisy people at the restaurants...which only impacted me on Friday and Sat night to be honest. Price- a little expensive for the services available but I guess the location is a plus. Overall, needs an upgrade but definitely suitable for a traveller.

The receptionist was friendly and that was the end of the pleasant experience here. The hotel room was aged and not maintained. Carpet was coming up, bed side cupboards had no doors or drawers (just the skeleton) , couldn't turn the tv on (i was told there was a switch beside the bed but they had all been pushed in), light globes were blown...... for $600+ this was a disgrace. I called the 24/7 number, and it was an international assist for late check in's and couldn't assist with anything else. Reception was meant to be open till 2000 hours but was closed before 1930 hours. I am not usually a person that comments and actually like sleeping in a tent, but this venue is run down, noisy (Hinley street), broken and not worth the money or time.

I recently stayed here and I cannot recommend the receptionist Sara enough. She was so kind and willing to help when I experienced some technical difficulties with my booking. The hotel is in a great location perfect for a night out. It is a little bit noisy, but that is to be expected as you are on the main drinking and nightclub Street. Its central location means that it’s walkable to get to a lot of places in Adelaide during our stay, we visited the local food market, which I would highly recommend. I gave the rooms for stars as they were clean and well kept, but they weren’t as modern as I was expecting, I would stay here again.

Booked a night, rooms were great. Paid an expensive bond and did not get a refund due to apparent urine found in a bath tub. Called the hotel to discuss the matter and the customer service was terrible, telling me i cant get my bond refunded i am blacklisted from the hotel and then hung up on me.

Our stay at Adelaide Paringa was absolutely wonderful. A huge shoutout to Lindy, Bernie, and Saira who went above and beyond to make us feel cared for and comfortable. They were incredibly kind and accommodating, especially when my friend wasn’t feeling well, they genuinely showed so much compassion and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to come across staff who treat guests with such warmth and sincerity. We’re so grateful for their help and will definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Adelaide.

Do not believe the pictures you se. Staff was not helpful, frazzled at the slightest comment (their mistake that they couldn’t even fix). Bathroom was horrible, shower sucked, stains on the sofa. On the first floor, we could hear the water running down drains from rooms above all night. Avoid if you can

I had the most amazing stay at Adelaide Paringa. Bernie was so helpful with not only where to go for breakfast but also places to see. I have to say she made my 1st holiday in 20years one of the best with my accommodation and friendly conversation. I felt I had known her for years. My room was fantastic. With a great view.... I will be back sooner rather than later thats for sure !! 10/10 Save my room for me Bernie !! Trish

If I hadn't had such a positive first impression at reception with Sarah upon check in I may have looked elsewhere, rooms are in DESPERATE need of renovations, I cannot fault the cleaners, my room was surprisingly clean considering how old and out dated everything is, coffee mugs, kettle etc immaculate. The staff really made the difference between me leaving a 2/3 star rating and a 5, purely from their efforts upon reception and the clear aim to make the rooms as clean as possible despite the age of everything.

Central location close to everything. The rooms & decor are dated and the bathrooms could do with a revamp, but the beds are comfortable and the rooms pretty well appointed for the price of the rooms. The central location is perfect 100m to a tram stop and 150m to Rundle Mall and all the cafes and restaurants down Hindley St. The staff are friendly and accommodating to your needs. My only tip is ask for a back room on the weekends as it can be quite noisy at the front.

Not what I would exactly say the room/amenities are of a great standard considering the price of the stay!!
