We stayed at the Adelaide River Hotel for four nights during our visit to Adelaide and South Australia. The hotel is very convenient and well located—only about six minutes from the city centre. You can also easily access the free tram service in Adelaide, which makes getting around very easy.
Although it’s not right in the city centre, everything is very close and walkable if you enjoy walking. The location is excellent, close to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the railway station. There is also a free tram right in front of the hotel, and it takes just two minutes to reach the city.
Our stay was fabulous, and we really enjoyed the room and overall comfort of the hotel. The only minor issue was that there wasn’t enough milk provided—only a small number of milk cubes for the four-day stay. We didn’t request room service, but if we had asked, they may have replenished it. There also weren’t nearby places to easily buy milk or small items.
The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, although we didn’t need to use it during our stay as we managed everything ourselves.
Overall, I highly recommend the Adelaide River Hotel if you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel with a good rating, great location, and easy access to the city.
