Well located, very clean and comfortable room. On arrival, the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. She was extremely helpful and advised of meals etc. that were available from the hotel's restaurant / bar. Overall great experience, great hospitality.

From booking, arrival, drinks, stay, breakfast and farewell, all staff were just 10 notches above any other. Our stay has again been extremely enjoyed- thank you for your efforts. Certainly the best value in our books. We'll be back.

I stayed here for 2 nights for a business trip. Looks like it's a recently renovated hotel for the Accor Group. Rooms are slightly dated, however were very clean, very spacious. Easy walking distance to many key locations. Car park is VERY small though with very little turning space if you have a big vehicle.

I stayed 2 nights in a premium room, the beds were comfortable, the building was old, and the room corners were dusty, the room smelled like rotten yogurt. Night time was noisy as you could clearly hear the street noise inside. The location was good and close to city centre and the staff were friendly, overall won’t go back there.

While the Adelaide Rockford itself is a fairly standard hotel — nothing over the top or especially luxurious — my experience here was made unforgettable thanks to one incredible team member: Derek. I was traveling with a broken leg in a moon boot, and Derek noticed right away that I was struggling a bit with the room I was given. Without hesitation, he came up to have a genuine chat, showed an incredible level of compassion, and personally helped me change to a more accessible room. Not only that, but he went above and beyond by assisting me with packing and moving all of my things himself — something you rarely, if ever, see in hospitality anymore. It wasn’t about the room — it was about how Derek made me feel. Comfortable. Seen. Cared for. His kindness, professionalism, and pride in his work truly stand out. It’s clear that he treats every room, every guest, and every moment with a level of attention and passion that’s increasingly rare these days. Always smiling, always helpful, and genuinely committed to making guests feel at home. Derek is the heart and soul of this hotel — and the only reason I’m leaving a five-star review. I sincerely hope management recognizes the absolute gem they have in him. He’s not just doing a job — he’s making a difference. Thank you, Derek — you turned what could have been a difficult stay into a memorable one.

We stayed with you overnight for a business trip. The room was good & clean. Unfortunately, when it came to breakfast time, I was terribly disappointed. I had invited a friend to join me on the Saturday morning for breakfast and I popped the charge on my room account. When we went into the breakfast room at 9am there was no bacon, no hash browns, no baked beans, no pastries and I can't remember the 5th thing. It took about 20 minutes for some of the food to be replaced. We had to wait for a waiter to deliver the bacon. The poached eggs I ordered wasn't drained properly and was full of water, which drowned my toast. $33 was a very expensive price to pay for an awful breakfast experience.

2-night stay as a couple travelling with friends also staying at the hotel. The room and staff were very good. There is a lovely rooftop pool area. Parking in the building was very convenient, and the location close to town, trams and river was excellent, but the breakfast selection was not extensive and there was no decaf coffee available.

Yelp
The bar at the Rockford Hotel is a quiet, relaxed little area for hotel guests and the general public. When I play gigs, the Rockford serves as the only nearby place that does coffee, making it a convenient little spot to get my caffeine fix. The interior is well-decorated, and the bossa nova tracks playing through the sound system gives it a very classy feel. The coffees are good; not excellent, but good. When you're all out of options and need a coffee quickly, there's not really any room for complaints. But I would gladly sip on one of their coffees even if the times weren't desperate. Whilst the bar is stocked with a large range of beers, wines, and spirits, I'm not sure if I'd want to drink their cocktails. I witnessed one of the bar stuff clumsily concoct a cocktail that was filled to the brim and oddly coloured, spilling all over the place whilst he carried it to a table. I think sticking with coffee or bottled beverages would be a wise choice.

Yelp
We wanted to stay in a different part of the CBD from where we had stayed before so this was a good location for that. The superior room was nice and large with reasonable amenities but nothing to get overly excited about. The water pressure was great and there was a good amount of hot water. Room servicing occurred as expected. Small niggles included the tv missing channels so finding something to watch was a little tedious as you skipped blank channels. Room was clean enough, but showing signs of wear and tear, nothing major, but not what I would expect from this chain of hotels. The biggest issue we found was the blue light that emanates from the fridge -at night its very bright! We ended up covering with a towel so as not to be disturbed. There was a party going on outside the hotel and it kept going until after 4am. Not the hotel's fault, but clearly the soundproofing could stand to be improved! I cant see myself staying here again as it was a little too far from where I wanted to be, and there just wasn't enough reason in the amenities of the hotel to justify the location. YMMV however.
