Adelante Restaurant

I am so confused. I ordered fajitas and received only chicken and rice. I was expecting at least some peppers and onion. Took one bite of the chicken and it too tasted like it had been sitting out. Had a rubber texture. Had one bite and tossed it out. Tamales are cold and taste old. I do not understand the positive reviews. This has left me underwhelmed. Will not be returning

Really really really cute place. The ambience is really nice. Service was solid. Food is good. They have vegetarian options and they’re all pretty great. Cute date place.

Electic artistic atmosphere. Enjoyed tasty cheese enchilada with ground turkey and chicken puffy taco as well as a picadillo crispy taco. Friendly staff, clean, great service n plenty of parking

Favorite Vegetarian food in San Antonio without a doubt. Employees are very kind and the restaurant is so colorful and cute you can never be upset when you walk in. 5/5 overall

I've been eating at Adelante for years and am always impressed with how consistently good the food is here. The ingredients are always fresh, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend the Mahi tacos on the spicy red corn tortillas, if they have them that day. Also, the cobbler desert is incredible if they are serving it that day. Don't expect typical Tex-Mex here. The menu here is more what I would call Southwestern.

I would like to give 4 stars, however, the rice was old and clumpy. Beans were tolerable. Lettuce was pleasantly fresh and green as was the guacamole. Menu has plenty of plant-based options along with what appears to be healthy meat,fish and fowl dishes. I thought the enchilada sauce was slightly over cooked. My wife's quesadillas were served like tacos, which was weird. They were loaded with fresh raw spinach. All in all not bad, just not what it could have been for the price. This restaurant has menu offerings for carnivores and vegetarians alike. Will suit a family or group with assorted tastes.
