"Adesso Bistro, West End Stanley Park by Amer Alkhatib. Tucked away in a quiet and obscure corner of the West End, Adesso Bistro offers some of the city’s warmest service and best home-cooked food. With a focus on north-western Italian cuisine, you will find plenty of delicious seafood (get the Frito Misto di Mari to start). My favourite dish on the menu, however, is a red wine braised beef—Brasato di Manzo. The patio in the summer is an absolute delight, and with $6 martinis from Sunday to Thursday, this place is well worth the visit."

Ok, I understand there is a new owner and chef but we have gone here every time we visit Vancouver. The service and the meal we had last night was awesome. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the entire dish was a product of an expert chef! This place is the gem of the West End, don't miss it.

This place has excellent Italian food and a lovely patio. I recommend booking reservations if you want to sit outside.

I took my Mom here for dinner last Friday evening, some time to unwind after a long work week with one of my favourite people. The room is beautiful, the staff welcoming and accommodating. When we were having a bit of difficulty conversing over the music (very good music, at that) someone came over and volunteered to lower the volume adjacent to where we were. We ordered several items off the menu and each met or exceeded expectations (the brodo enveloping the duck tortellini was a standout among delicious dishes). Frankie, our waiter, recommended a perfectly paired wine, and service throughout was impeccable. Cannot wait to go back.

I'm changing my rating from four stars to two. There are new owners and when they took over, all the staff left. The menu has changed and they no longer offer martinis, which is strange because we were told by several staff the new owners want to bring back a Delilah's vibe. Service was not great. Antipasti was inedible. The rest of the food was just OK. Overall a real shame. Really too bad about the staff. They were the best. I will really miss the tall waiter, Gavin. I wish I knew where he works now. I would like to eat there.

It is a hidden gem in the heart of the West End. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated. Bar and wait staff provide excellent service, they enjoy what they do. The restaurant also has an outdoor patio space, it's perfect in warmer days to sip wine and visit with friends. To call it a patio is actually unfair, it's a pretty garden. This restaurant is where locals eat, I highly recommend.

I’ve been here many times and the best I can say for the restaurant is that it really does have one of the best patios in town. That being said, the food has never been impressive. It is often overcooked, underseasoned, and very overpriced for what you get. There are few restaurants I can go to, spend $50 on food, and leave hungry, but this is one of them. In addition to that, service can be very slow and disorganized. You have to wonder if their turnover is super high. I will give them a shoutout on their cocktails, which are generally excellent.

I hadn't been since management changed. The food used to be good. Our waitress was inappropriate with her conversation and her hovering, more interested in hearing snippets of our conversation and removing the napkins while we were still chatting than doing her job. How I'm being served is as important as the food. Will I go back? NO! Will my guest go back? NO! The place used to be busy but after the evening I'm not surprised the place was empty.

I've heard this place used to be really good but has recently changed management. Our experience was very disappointing. There were some good points but many bad ones for which I entirely blame the management. Incompetent staff, food I had to send back and which then got replaced by the mean scrapings from the bottom of another pan. No intervention whatsoever or apologies from the long haired arrogant manager chap, who scowled at us and everyone else all night. He was awful to his staff in front of us, so unprofessional. He wouldn't even do anything to accommodate us. An average, murky looking interior, which I would have totally overlooked if anything else had been half decent. And a barman who literally stood around picking his nose, then served us 2 bottles of the $112 wine rather than the $48 bottle of the same maker, when we clearly asked for the latter. They were the best thing about that meal, as we obviously refused to pay full price once we realised. All five of us agreed it was the most bizarre, disjointed, unsatisfactory restaurant experiences we could remember and I've since heard others say similar things. They desperately need new warm, welcoming management to turn the place around.
