ADGE Hotel & Residences Sydney Surry Hills

This is truly the BEST hotel for a Surry Hills stay. You're literally in the best location to access everything that Oxford St has to offer - it's a short stumble out the front door before you're at all the bars and clubs on the strip, as well as countless restaurants and shops. The rooms are simple and clean, and very spacious. Despite being in the middle of all the action, it was incredibly quiet and private. The cafe in their lobby does a great coffee and breakfast. Paul and his team are top notch and made my stay so easy. Cannot wait to get back again soon.

I had such a fantastic stay at ADGE Hotel! The place feels fresh, clean, and vibrant from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is modern yet welcoming, and it’s clear they take pride in keeping everything spotless and comfortable. A special mention to Nim at reception, so warm, friendly, and accommodating, making check-in and every interaction a genuine pleasure. It really makes such a difference when the staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. I also really appreciate how inclusive and LGBTQ+ friendly the hotel is. It has such a positive and open vibe, which made me feel completely at ease during my stay. Highly recommend ADGE Hotel if you’re looking for a stylish, clean, and welcoming place to stay in Sydney!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The location was excellent, and the concierge (I believe his name was Haig) was outstanding, so friendly and welcoming. I gave a 4 for cleanliness, and not because it was bad, but simply because I’m a bit of a clean freak and noticed some dust. Overall, it was an excellent experience and an outstanding stay. Thank you! I would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is fun, quirky and full of personality, which made it such a memorable experience. The central location was perfect, everything we needed was right at our doorstep. Our room (and the hotel overall) was spotless, which really added to the comfort. The cocktails were fantastic, and the food was just as impressive — every bite and sip felt like a treat. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay and we’ll definitely be back!

A conveniently located, fresh and modern place to stay. Room was well appointed and comfortable with all necessities. The staff were friendly and welcoming - a special shout out out to Tika on the front desk - amazingly helpful and friendly under pressure! Recommend this place and will be staying again very soon!

Great B&B with a quiet, relaxed feel in Sydney’s Surry Hills. The rooms are clean and modern with nice, fresh decor. The staff at the front desk are friendly and helpful. There’s also a caféat the hotel. It’s about 1 km from the city’s business area, so it’s easy to get around

Trendy hotel in Surry hills. Lot of cafes and restaurants walking distance. Five minutes walk to B333 bus stop to Bondi beach or Circular Quay. We spent here 4 nights to visit Sydney and we were very happy of our choice. We felt very safe walking from city center to the hotel at dark after dinner. Staff at reception did a great job suggesting us how to use local transports and booking for us taxi to the airport. Cafe and restaurant at ground floor for breakfast and dinner. Our huge triple room at 11th floor had a great view of the city (even Opera House at a distance).

The hotel was nice, but I expected it to be clean. The sink shelf had dust on it from the moment we checked in, to the very last day. That's where we put our toothbrushes and face wash. The floors were disgusting so we left our shoes on the entire time because who knows what the nasty stains were from. Normally we would've taken our footwear off. The huge lamp hanging near the TV had one of the two screws missing from the ceiling (glad we didn't get hurt). The bathroom drain in the shower didn't seem to flow good and the shower would fill up fast because the soap got stuck over the drain. The AC wasn't working and we couldn't adjust the temperature. We never spoke of this to the front desk because we had a flight delay and checked in later that expected with toddlers. I wasn't going to move everything and everyone being that we only slept there three nights. The bed sheets were gross they had stains on it as well, unknown from what but it was brown and black stains , but we didn't use that sheet to sleep. Pros: the bed was comfortable and the room sizes was amazing (compared to USA rooms). Pictures of the carpets because it was so bad. ******UPDATE******* After speaking with management, I appreciate the gesture to notify me that the lamp and cleaning will be adjusted with the staff. I was not doing this to get any refund, but I'm happy to except any offers given. The carpets were steam cleaned and unfortunately just stained from the last guests, which is why it appears to be dirty. These issues will be resolved so future guests will not have the same concerns. I would conditioner this hotel again for our family and friends in the future. Also a bonus, there's a smart TV so I was able to link our Disney account so my kids could watch the TV while headed to bed. Like I said previously, the room space was great with a big shower. I forgot to mention, the door for the bathroom is the shower door as well. The bathroom door swings inward to be used for the shower. The design/film on the shower was a neat privacy shield so you cant see in/out.
