ADGE Boutique Apartment Hotel (Sydney, New South Wales) Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Don’t let the Surry Hills location put you off for a second — while you’re on the southern edge of the city center proper, a longish walk from the waterfront tourist attractions and the districts where the boutique hotels generally cluster, you couldn’t ask for a better neighborhood. Here you’ve got one foot in the established city center and one foot in an emerging, creative, largely residential district. Not literally; that’d be awkward. And there’s nothing awkward about the ADGE Boutique Apartment Hotel." - Tablet Hotels

Room was not like the photos and was freezing when we first got there. The heater didn't work very well and we were never truly warm. Very small bathroom but water pressure was great. Mattress and pillows were comfy. No microwave or cutlery, the couch was too small for 2 people to sit comfortably. The lady on reception when I checked in was lovely, but the older gentleman at checkout was looking at his phone and made me wait before serving me. Location was fantastic but I wasn't overly impressed.

We had a great stay at the ADGE! The room was cozy, bathrooms were well stocked and clean and the beds were super comfy. The hotel is beautifully designed with lots of art in the common spaces. We got in before 10am from an early and long flight and were welcomed by a friendly and helpful staff who gave us our room immediately. Thank you for a lovely stay, we'll definitely be back :)

This hotel is in a great location in Surry Hills. Steps away from the heart of Surry Hills on Crown st and yet also steps away from Oxford st in Darlinghurst. Tons of awesome food options (late night ones as well) are scattered around. The hotel is also about 15 minutes walk from central station and 15 minutes walk into the CBD or Chinatown, so it really is perfectly located. The staff are also very friendly and responsive to the needs of guests. I requested to change rooms for excess noise and they were able to upgrade my stay to a balcony room because of it. In terms of cleanliness, the carpets in the room and tiles in the bathroom need a good deep vaccuuming as there are particles and debris scattered around. Additionally the fresh towels are never quite the cleanest - I always found red, brown or black marks throughout the towels, in addition to hair which was not mine. There are also a lack of amenities - no fitness center or pool available. There is also guest laundry however it is for an outrageous price of $12 a cycle which is asinine. There is a nice cafe on the ground floor however, which is open to about 4pm everyday. It had good brunch food. Otherwise this is a great fun, quirky and colorful hotel and I would definitely be back!

3 night stay. Minimalist rooms (no hanging space, no microwave etc.) You get 2 tea bags and when I requested some from reception, the very grumpy Australian dude said he'll get them sent up. Never arrived. Got some a local convenience store. Not a deal breaker but still. Decided to try the restaurant for breakfast. Ordered. Sat. My wife went and ordered (I ordered when I got the menu). She got hers. Went and asked about mine and 'oh chef is doing it now' 20 min after my wife got hers. Yeah not good. There are heaps of good cafes.around Surrey Hills. Do yourself a favour and explore n7ch better kitchen service.

The Hotel was in a central Location. Walking distance to the Sydney Opera house and China Town. The room and bathroom are both clean and well maintained. The staff are very polite and accommodating. Charging points/ power outlets at the lobby was a big plus. Pillows are great and given us our best sleep ever. No wait times for the elevator too.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for sightseeing, and the hotel staff made us feel at home, except for one male front desk receptionist who could have been a bit more courteous. The rooms were clean and spacious, but they were missing some essential toiletries, such as shower caps, toothbrushes, and shaving kits.

Very clean throughout. Room was plenty large enough and warm enough, very comfortable bed. Bathroom whilst small was perfectly fine and the water was hot. Very well located close to restaurants, bars and shopping, bus lines and a 7 minute walk to train. Nice cafe for breakfast or lunch. Would choose again.
