The rooms were lovely, beds comfortable, and everything worked well. The staff were helpful. Loved the spa after a long day out! The bar area was also lovely. I gave the room 4 stars because of the shower, which some might find slippery (and difficult to get in/out of) however the hotel does offer a solution to this.

Truely & beautiful old historical building, very dated however suits its era, more suited to the older generation. Staff very helpful & accomodating, could not match bookings.com however upgrade us & upon leaving gave us a bottle of wine that was promised to us upon arrival. |Enclosed pool & spa area very nice, koi fish & fountain lovely. |The room (54) was spacious, big king size bed, sheets were rough, ample bedding, great heating, |a few makings on the walls, 1 bedside table missing, coffee stains on kitchen floor, a dead fly on the window ledge, finger prints on the window, frayed bath towels, the time on the oven clock was 1.5hrs ahead. |Lacking attention to detail by cleaning staff. Overall it was a pleasant stay however, I would not stay again unless I had no other options.

We stayed for 4 nights in room 49. It was roomy and there were 2 tvs., a separate lounge area and bedroom. The hotel is well located. Paid parking was about a 5 minute walk away. The shower over the bath tub was not ideal. The bathroom was clean and the little kitchenette was very convenient for us. There was even a washing machine and dryer and clothes horse provided. The cleaning staff were pleasant and helpful. The morning breakfast was quite adequate for us, with a choice of a few dishes. Our apartment was a little tired and a fresh coat of lighter colouredpaint would have made it much brighter. The staff in the restaurant and the front desk were cheerful and helpful. Overall, we had a great stay in this reasonably priced apartment hotel. We would recommend it, especially if you are staying for a few nights.

Such a lovely 5 day stay in a perfect location & amazingly quiet apartments. Bed super comfortable & apartment spacious & clean. |A big thank you to Nicole for ensuring our stay was all that we had hoped for & for Simi’s help & lovely smile that brightened our days. The courtyard, bar with great cocktails & delicious food at 1860 restaurant all added to a memorable holiday. Did not have to worry about traffic noise as apartment bedroom was perfectly quiet & we enjoyed a great nights sleep. |Look forward to returning sometime. Love Adelaide & SA❤️

Interesting history throughout the building. Friendly staff and helpful in answering our questions. The room was spacious. Bed was comfy and linens were nice quality. We like to walk and found the location to be great for visiting the sights. There’s an on site restaurant and bar.

Excellent property with all the old world charm you can imagine in the old Treasury Building. Greeted by the most hospitable staff at reception. The rooms are very well appointed, clean and airy.|Reflects our 5 out of 5 rating. Thank you and well done!

Google
Fantastic experience here. The old treasury building is steeped in history and has been sympathetically converted to a hotel. Lovely staff, great location.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to stay at. My partner and I stayed in the apartment which had everything. Full kitchen, nice sized bathroom, clean. Staff are friendly and helpful the court yard is beautiful and location is amazing.

Yelp
A great alternative to the typical hotel room, we had a 2 bedroom apartment (1 king, 2 twin beds) that included a small kitchen, two bathrooms and decent sized living room up on the 1st floor at the end of the hall. It even included a small washer and dryer which was nice after a week of traveling throughout Australia. While it would be a stretch to tag this place as high end, it was clean, comfortable and in a good location right on the tram line and near plenty of restaurants. Would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment downstairs, since we were DJing nearby and knew we were going to have a big night ;) We've stayed here before - the staff are friendly and unobtrusive, the rooms are gorgeous (lovely high ceilings and period features retained), and the grounds outside are beautiful. I would have given it 5 stars, but there was no natural light in the room - we had to put the lights on at all times. It's tricky being on the ground floor - our room faced onto Flinders Street, so the shutters are a necessity. The bedroom has no windows at all, and relied on bedside lamps for lighting. We would definitely stay here again though - with fairly reasonable rates for 4 star accommodation, it made for a lovely night ;)

Yelp
The Medina Grand Treasury on the corner of Flinders and King William Streets in Adelaide is something of a treasure trove if you take the time to experience all it has to offer. It sits in a prime location opposite the GPO in King William Street and that entrance will take you into the bar and restaurant areas. If you're planning a stay at the hotel as a guest, the entrance is just around the corner on Flinders Street. You can enjoy a drink or a meal in the bar area, in the restaurant itself or outside in the idyllic courtyard. They have separate Bar and Dining Room menus, an extensive cocktail list and a wine list ranging from a modest Treasury White Chardy at $22 a bottle to Pol Roger bubbly at $190 a pop! My absolute favorite thing about the Treasury is that it sits on the site of the original Adelaide Treasury building. The hotel owners have preserved and opened the old treasury tunnels and they're available to hire for functions. Apparently when The Beatles visited Adelaide, they used the tunnels to escape the crowds. I've been lucky enough to have been in the tunnels on a few occasions and I think they're a unique space to hold a function. Just that little bit different from the run of the mill places where many people hold their events. Also available to hire is the Premier's Cabinet Room. That space has been lovingly restored to its original glory and is a real step back in time. I have to admit I haven't stayed at The Treasury but its certainly on my to do list. Along with their rooms which look fab I love the look of their outdoor breakfast area - very quaint and just a stones throw from the heart of the city.

Yelp
My third or fourth stay. Although it's declined a bit in service since my last stay 2-3 years ago it's still a great place to stay. Elegant decor with tasteful improvements. Lovely courtyard and pool. Oversized rooms. Can't help but admire the original staircases and architecture. Courteous staff (but don't expect TOO much). Central and walking distance to everything from Rundle Mall and Rundle Street to Central Market. Stayed during Fringe Festival and was perfectly located. Reasonable day rate parking as well.

Yelp
In Adelaide for work? This is the perfect place to be put up. For a fair price you get a large studio apartment which includes a full kitchen (even w/ dishwasher), which makes it easier to stay-in for a quiet night or even entertain a guest. The indoor pool is only a 15m single lane, but perfect for some morning laps. Gym is well maintained and clean, with adjacent change rooms and shower. Perfect CBD location, but with a tranquil courtyard for breakfast or a wind-down drink. Lastly, it's nice to be connected to a bit of local SA history while you're in town - as the former State Treasury building, you'll find plenty of items discovered during the restoration of the period site. With these dotted throughout the hotel, there are attached accounts and stories of how the items relate to the state economic development and federal politics. I highly recommend the Medina Grand, as a modern hotel suitably integrated with the city's past.

Yelp
The Medina is near my work and is my favoured pub for a quick occasional repair (ie drink) with colleagues. The best thing about the place is the large, picturesque square with fountain in the back of the bar. It does get crowded quickly on Friday from 4pm with mid-level management types, though. Its definitely not a hipster/student bar, which is fine by me. The range of beverages is OK, including some of my favourite scotches. The short order food is decent if you want something to go with the drinks. I've stayed in the rooms and I think they are a really nice and well-priced alternative to 4-5 start local hotels. Its away (but not too far away) from the main entertainment areas of Adelaide so you can get a quiet night's sleep. They have a nice pool and the breakfast is pretty good. I often recommend it as an alternative to people I work with who are visiting from out of the State.

Yelp
The Medina Grand Adelaide Treasury was a great hotel right in the heart of Adelaide. We fully enjoyed our stay here for the following reasons: - Location, location, location! Easy walk to anywhere within the city. Close to the Central Market, close to bars and restaurants, close to shopping, close to a Cole's. Nothing was a far walk. - The room itself was a large suite with a kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom. - Kitchen had microwave, coffee maker, fridge, oven, dishes, everything. Useful for when you want to get some snacks and drinks for the room. - Bathroom was pretty small but it did have a washer and dryer which was a life saver after traveling around Australia for a couple of weeks prior. You can buy detergent for like $5 or just bring your own like I did. - Bed was fairly comfortable. - We had a patio overlooking some sort of church (surprise, a church, in Adelaide?! haha) and walkthrough area. Some characters walking through there, let me tell you. - Nice courtyard bar area in the middle with decent happy hour. It does get fairly busy on Fridays at happy hour, so plan accordingly. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
As well as being housed within a beautiful building, the hotel section of the treasury also serves as a Friday night after work drinks local with pompous trendy young professionals. Tiresome to the max, if you are willing to listen to some wannabe tell you all about themselves and their bright future then head on in to the treasury on Friday night. Usually fairly packed with suit laden intoxicated babblers, it can be quite fun if you are in the scene, but the novelties of the antique cornices and ceiling roses wear off fairly quickly and it pretty soon becomes just another drinking hole.

Yelp
Nice building (old architecture refurbished). Nice, calm and large rooms. Beautiful and calm courtyard. Sufficient pool. Only con is Internet is charged with 10$ and breakfast variety (a lá card). Those meals served are very good though!
