Myself and a group of friends checked into the Hotel yesterday, an hour after the check-in time my room still wasn’t ready as the cleaners were running behind. As we needed to leave for an event, I asked the receptionist if I would be able to grab the key and leave my bag in the room. He gave me the key, as I walked to the room there was two cleaners in the middle of cleaning it, I politely informed them I was staying in the room tonight and I just needed to drop off my bag. They watched me move it into the cupboard.
When I later returned to my room last night, my entire bag and belongings were taken, the security guard on shift was incredibly unhelpful too.
This was an incredibly stressful situation as I had no clothes, toiletries or personal belongings.
I completely understand mistakes happen, everyone is human, and often staff are understaffed and overworked. But better communication between the employees at this establishment would have helped avoid this situation all together.
