Our first night was incredibly difficult due to the noise. Our room faced a busy street directly above bars and restaurants, and the bells that rang every 15 minutes throughout the night made it nearly impossible to sleep. To make matters worse, a morning beverage delivery truck spent over three hours loading and unloading kegs right outside our window, the noise was relentless. Thankfully, the staff were extremely responsive and helpful when we asked to change rooms the next day. We were only staying for two nights, and the second room made all the difference. It was significantly quieter, and we were finally able to get a good night's sleep. We truly appreciated how quickly and kindly the staff handled the situation.

Nice small hotel very conveniently located right in the center of the town. |Our room was not large, but confortable and "cute" with its wallpaper of flowers. As it was on the last floor, we could see a bit of the lake from our window. |Although the hotel does not offer breakfast, we went to Monnier, as recommended. It's very close and the breakfast food was delicious. |The hotel staff could have been friendlier. Basically, no one is at the reception. |In the room, it's difficult to plug your phone/computer as the plugs are not conveniently located. |Morat is a cute town to visit (2 days should be enough) with good restaurants, a few cute shops and a beautiful walk by the lake.

The Hotel Adler is a real gem in the middle of Murten. The Adler doesn't feel like a typical rundown Swiss hotel. It's super cosy with historic charm, but with a modern interior. Don't miss the Flammeries in the pub - they are so yummy!

A wonderful boutique hotel in Murten. Set in the old town it really is a great place to stay the night. The rooms are very spacious and have a modern interior. The staff is friendly. There is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, but no breakfast is served. There are two bakeries nearby, though. We will be back for sure.

Nice bar by in the city of Murten. The ambience and the atmosphere is great, walking on a winter evening and having a glass of the local white wine from the area was refreshing. A quick aperitiv before the dinner right around the corner. Need to try their beer the next time.

For context I ended up here as my originally booked hotel 2 minutes away were unavailable to check me in and the automatic check-in vending machine was inoperative. I found this hotel on Google and called up. To my surprise the receptionist answered (1am at time of calling) advised me they she'd be closing in 30 minutes. I quickly drove down and was met by a really warm and helpful staff. The hotel appears to also be a pub restaurant so was taken aback by the noise outside from people having a good time. I guess if I'd know I wouldn't have been surprised. Once you get beyond that; the rooms are very spacious and appropriately refined. no air conditioning so you'd have to compromise fresh air with noise from the customers outside.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise to us. All rooms are named after personality that is said to have stayed in these rooms. There is really a lot of history that you can experience in this great venue. And this in the middle of the old town. The hotel does not serve breakfast but there are nice bakeries and restaurants in close neighbourhood.
