Definitely in the heart of downtown. You will hear the bars, and the people outside. That said, it really wasn't bad. We were able to sleep through it just fine. The room was super cute, the hotel is super cute. They have a bar that goes til 2am. Only downside was there was no fridge in the room. Would book again :)

Google
So I am giving this hotel a 2 star rating overall. Front desk staff was very friendly so they get 5 stars, but we felt the price was a little high for what you get. Most Choice hotels have a mini fridge in the room, this didn’t. The floors were the snap together laminate planks that were very worn and damaged with spaces between the pieces and clearly damaged from improper cleaning. This was an anniversary get away and we chose the historic building and paid a higher price but felt like for what we paid it should be better kept. AC worked very well but there’s only a very thin sheet and cover on the bed. We didn’t have much of an issue with noise except for hearing a few doors. Breakfast was very limited compared to what we are used to at the cheaper Choice brand hotels. We wouldn’t recommend for any kind of romantic getaway.

Front desk staff were super friendly, warm and welcoming. We used to live in Fells Point so we know the neighborhood well and how loud it can get at night. We stayed during fleet week, it was HOT outside but the hotel was nice and cool, I love the old charm it has preserved. Yes the layout is weird, yes the floors are uneven, but that's part of Fells. We got a very last minute booking and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend to others.

Google
- that was my last stay after many years as the Inn has forgotten what customer service is. The hospitality business requires discretion, security and above all else putting your own interests aside to ensure the welfare of the clients. You won’t find that at Admiral Fell inn. My experience of leaving my holstered firearm which i’m permitted and licensed to carry as an article in my room found it handed over to the Baltimore City PD after i informed them i was traveling back to retrieve it and gave them instructions to secure it until my return Upon arrival i discovered they did not only NOT have the item previously secured but gave it to the City against my direction and wishes as a guest The results are now attorney fees and reprimands at my place of employment if i still have one Thank you for your kindness and hospitality towards yourselves Forgot remodeling the place go back to hospitality school it will be money well spent ! DO NOT put your trust in this group stay elsewhere After reviewing the issue with an attorney who practices in Md with direct knowledge of 2nd Amendment rights It’s my understanding the mgr and hotel owners violated the law. The property was not posted and hotel room is considered your domain and your payment enforces that contract. This enables me to proceed with his support to file for damages and loss for multiple trips , replacing my gun and attorneys fee - updates soon !

The neighborhood is awesome. Great restaurants, bars and overall welcoming. The hotel itself.... Well.... Friendly front desk. Spacious room. Noisy air-conditioning in room. It was one of the rooms connecting with another. The noise insulation between the rooms is non existent. Morning one we were woken up at 6am because of neighbor rooms alarm clock. The room wasn't occupied but luckily the clock died after round about 20 minutes. Maybe the room cleaning should put this on the checklist to disable any alarm clocks. I'm usually staying with bigger chains and expect new towels and the bed to be me made daily. Didn't happen here. Breakfast choice is very limited, and the coffee was not drinkable because of coffee grounds both mornings. We went to the bakery across the street.

I stayed here over a year ago. My husband and I were getting away and wanted to stay in a nicely located hotel for a good price. This looked like a great deal, but being that it was winter, in an old building, we could not control the heater, so I couldn’t fall asleep. I tried opening the window and it didn’t stay open and the noise from the street was loud. Additionally, being a “dog friendly” hotel, we tried to fall asleep and each time a dog walked by with their owners, it’s like the whole floor (dogs) perceived another and it would be a choir of dog barks at a hot 11pm. Needless to say, we didn’t stay the length of our reservation, we quit early and their policy was no refunds at that point. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone in good conscience.

Not all it's cracked up to be. The location is great for getting to other fun things but sleeping there? Not so much. The weekend crowds are LOUD until past 3am. Like it sounds as if they're in the room and we were on the 3rd floor (screaming/bottles breaking/music blaring). The inside of the hotel is sad. The online photos make it looks quaint, but in-person there's open ceilings, broken bed posts. We had 3 people in the room, were only provided 2 bath towels, and one of those was stained brown and yellow. The shower had hot water for MAYBE 10 mins then went right to cold. I called ahead asking if they did early check in. The woman on the phone said they couldn't promise it but said she would put a note to housekeeping to clean it early if possible. Upon arrival I asked if they could check us in any earlier than the typical 4pm and attempted to mention my phone call with another staff member, but before I could even finish my sentence, the man interrupted me and just said "No." I totally understand if they couldn't accommodate an early check in, that was not a problem. I was just trying to ask as the woman over the phone had instructed, but the male staff member was rude and short with me. All of the female staff were absolutely wonderful, thankfully. If you value your sleep and feeling clean, I would choose somewhere else.

Google
Renovations stage will address some issues like stained furniture and new bathrooms. Rooms were very nice. Unusual layout for a hotel made us feel the history of the hotel and the area. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely return!!

Yelp
This hotel is so cool. The space is so great, I love historical hotels with character... The staff is amazing - Jasmine was absolutely incredible with suggestions, and just being personable and kind. I seriously want her as my friend always! She is just the best! Fran was so attentive - we needed things, she was on it, and following up to make sure we were good, The hotel is old. It's not fancy, but it has this charm that I adore! I'm so excited to come back! Only suggestions - a shelf for soap/shampoo in the shower, that would be helpful... and a garbage can in the bathroom.

Yelp
In town for the Brew Fest at Max's. The location of this hotel is the only thing going for it. Room: heat could not be adjusted . The room was filthy. Stains all over the furniture. Something spilled and was never cleaned. No blankets, no hair dryer. No deadbolt on the door. People yelling all hours of the night. Strangers trying to get in our room multiple times. Zero security. They are becoming a part of Hilton. I'd wait for that.

Yelp
We wanted a cute stay at a historic hotel, so no illusions about a slick, modern place for us. This was a "staycation" as we are from the area, and we just wanted a nice weekend in the city. Nope. No notice that the hotel is being renovated, and by renovated I mean things like they are changing all of the light fixtures in the rooms, so there was hardware left around in literally every hallway. It was a mess. On to the room itself: The thermostat cannot be controlled from within the room. It was (not kidding) mid-60s in the day, and close to 80 degrees all night. We were sweltering in our sleep, and even the front desk couldn't fix it (they were nice, but...) And then the shower. It's updated, which is nice, but apparently the plumbing is not! There was no hot water - ok, it was tepid - but no human wants that temperature on their body, really. We tried not once, but three times, to get a nice shower for either one of us, to no avail. I hope they do more than make it pretty in their renovations, otherwise this mid-price hotel is not worth it at all. We would have been better off at a big box hotel a few blocks away. And that's sad, because Baltimore is all about history and we wanted to support that.

Yelp
Location, Location, Location! I read the past reviews, if you think you're staying at The Ritz, snap out of it. This is a historic hotel, if George Washington stayed here I wouldn't be surprised. I put a towel on the towel rack and it fell off the wall. Now that I have all the nonsense out of the way, my wife and I had an enjoyable stay. We're in town to see Billy Joel & Stevie Nicks and love the Fells Point neighborhood. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The bed, it's old but was very comfortable. The check in process was easy peasy, they gave us our room keys and we walked thru a hotel hallway maze to get to our room. Each room has a name, our room was named Smallwood. Imagine that call to the front desk; this is Bill S, Smallwood! Overall, the water pressure was good, the temperature was good and the bed was comfy. After the concert, we went next store to Insomnia Cookies and brought back a taste treat. We sat in the main lobby and enjoyed our dessert. The lobby is beautiful and very welcoming. The staff was also engaging. Every time we were downstairs we chatted with the front desk about our daily plans. Once you walk out of the hotel, you are in the middle of everything. If you can live without valet parking, I highly recommend Admiral Fell Inn Baltimore Harbor.

Yelp
I love this hotel even though it has some issues. I always feel like I'm a president's mistress when I stay here: from the ornate antique furniture and gold bathroom fixtures to the secret staircases that access the 5th floor. The place could benefit from a good cleaning and updated plumbing, but the views of the harbor and Thames street make up for any negatives.

Yelp
Deceptive Expedia listing and refused to waive the cancellation fee. I booked a hotel/air/car package through Expedia in September 2024 for a trip to visit my sister who has cancer and is inpatient at Johns Hopkins. I selected Admiral Fell Inn based on their location and parking, the latter of which was described in their Expedia listing as "24-hour offsite parking (USD 20 per night)." When I called to confirm in/out privileges, I was told, "We don't have parking" and that I'd have to find street parking on my own. I then checked google and discovered that finding parking is difficult and/or far. Not wanting to deal with that stress and feeling deceived, I contacted Expedia to cancel so I could book another hotel. Admiral Fell Inn refused to waive the cancellation fee.

Yelp
My husband wanted to stay in the Fell's Point area, but being a touristy area the hotels were quite expensive, so we chose Admiral Fell Inn because it wasn't quite as expensive as the other hotels (with taxes, it was just under $600 CAD for two nights). We did read the reviews before booking and saw that it received a low rating and many people complained about mold, but we were only staying two nights, and due to our landlord's negligence and laziness, mold was something we were used to. To our surprise, the room was just fine -- clean and no mold. Perhaps a little old and dated, but it was perfectly clean. Also, it was quite large, which was a nice change from having stayed a week in a micro-room at Citizen M in DC, and best of all, it had AC! The one flaw with Admiral Fell was it was right on a busy and noisy street, and being Friday and Saturday night, people were partying all night long (we were told that people "get crazy" on the weekends) and the pub across the street was blasting music until about 2am. Overall I didn't mind the hotel, but due to the noise (at least the AC blocked out some of it), I don't think I would choose Admiral Fell again -- I am very sensitive to noise and being right on a party street is not for me. Things to note: the hotel offered complimentary "breakfast" -- fruit, muffins, granola bars, and coffee. While the breakfast did not appeal to me, the coffee was quite good and free coffee is much appreciated. Also, the building is quite old -- it dates back to the 1700s (it is considered one of the most haunted hotels in Maryland) and is made up of eight different buildings, thus the interior is a little... whacky. The floors aren't all level, so to get to our room on the second floor, you'd walk down a short hallway, walk up six stairs, walk down a short hallway, walk down a few stairs, etc. Basically, there were three or four small stairways we had to walk up AND down to get to our room. (Yes, there is also an elevator.) I wish I could give Admiral Fell Inn a higher rating because it is a decent hotel, but the noise was just too much. Yelp
Was checked into a room on the first floor that had a constant terrible mechanical noise. Reported it to the front desk and they admitted that they were aware of it but nothing they could do. No other rooms to move me to. I left and found another hotel. At least they gave me a refund. Would not recommend this hotel. The restaurant and bar were recently abruptly closed.

Yelp
The staff were simply wonderful. My father and I came after NewYears because he was having surgery at Johns Hopkins. We booked a room that turned out to be too small. They upgraded the room at no charge, and when it turned out Dad couldn't get into the bed, they swiftly found him a roll-away. I loved the Fells Point location, as I could leave him in the room, and walk around without feeling guilty. The staff recommended a great, cheap taco place that had amazing tacos, and there was free wine in the lobby. The biggest kindness was that there wasn't a handicapped parking spot (but there is a separate handicapped entrance) We got a ticket parking next to the handicapped entrance, and the concierge managed to take care of the fine...I don't know how, but after all the stress of surgery, it was balm.

Yelp
A very historic and quaint hotel located in Fells Point Baltimore, Maryland. Definitely enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are old and small, but definitely had alot of charm on a visit to this awesome area.

Yelp
This is probably more of a 4.5 star review, but I'm happy to give them the other .5 star rather than take it away. This historic hotel is a warren of winding corridors. Because the building is so old the floors are not level, some squeak, and the walls are not plumb. And that is all part of this historic hotels charm. The lobby is lovely with a big fireplace, comfortable sofa and old writing desks. The elevators are new on the inside and old on the exterior decor. The front desk staff were all excellent and we must give a shout out to Jack who gave us lots of helpful information on where to park and eat and what to see all in the neighborhood. Excellent customer service and you can see he enjoys his chosen profession. Our room was located directly over the lobby with views of Thayer street, the waterfront and the plaza. Great views although we only enjoyed them when we checked in, when we woke and before sleep. Three large windows let in plenty of light, had sheer curtains as well as light blocking. The room is decorated in period style pieces. The TV inside the armoire, a small closet area and shelves are in the bathroom. The walls are painted in colonial colors. The floor new wood laminate which I really like. There is a small fridge in a corner and it is *very cold. The mattress was firm and comfortable. Sheets soft, towels thick and soft. Housekeeping is by request only. If you want it, place your request with reception the night before. We shut the heat off upon entering the room and never turned it back on. Even at 34° outside, the room stayed more than toasty even with the heat off. On the bedside table a device has been added to charge 4 devices which is very welcome. The furnishings could use some restoration, for example the desk is showing wear and a small side table with a coffee pot was wobbly. The closet area in the bathroom really should be modernized. One of the drapes needed to be dry cleaned and the bedskirt needed to be replaced or re-sewed. The bathroom could use a deep cleaning of the tiles and the shower curtain has broken rings. None of these things incommoded us in any way. It's more presentation than utility. Everything we needed worked fine. Even the shower curtain. My SO is an early riser and he found it took a while for the hot water to reach our bathroom. I wake later than him and found hot water was immediately available and plentiful. If you are an early riser, start the shower a bit before you intend to get in there to be sure your water is hot. As our room was right on the front of the hotel, and there are many bars and restaurants on Thayer Street, both nights of our stay we were awoken by holiday makers. We don't mind people enjoying themselves, and it's certainly no fault of the hotel, it's just a good thing to know. If you are a light sleeper, request a room away from the street. At the time of our visit, their restaurant was closed. A small breakfast of coffee, coffee mate creamer, pre-packages muffins and granola bars and bottled orange juice was available in the lobby to take back to your room or to 'grab and go'. There is a coffee pot in the room and a few breakfast spots nearby.

Yelp
Fell's Point is very cool and the hotel could be great but my room was disgusting. First off it smelled like stale cigarettes. There was a wing chair COVERED in stains, not just one little stain but all over, couldn't believe they would leave something like that in a room. The drapes were also covered in stains, really, really nasty. I realize this is an old inn. I wasn't expecting luxury but I also wasn't expecting filth. The breakfast couldn't be more half-hearted in substance or presentation. They have obv re-done the bathrooms but there is not one surface to place anything on, really poorly thought out. But the price is right and the location is fab. The staff is lovely and the happy hour, although only crappy American (Not EVEN Natty Boh!!!),beer, is a nice touch. This place COULD be great but it's really not at all.

Yelp
Brief Summary: This hotel is a dump in a very good location. I won't stay there again or recommend it. Pros ------- Nice colonial-decor lobby Free coffee/tea in lobby (Keurig) Computer for guest use in lobby Street entrance to lobby locked overnight (access with room key) Nice views from my room Deadbolt on my room door Working TV Wood hangers Cons ------- Front Desk Staff: - Cold, unfriendly attitude from all but one person (however everyone was polite) - When I requested additional toilet paper, the person gave me only 1 roll (cheap). I should have been given 2 rolls without having to ask. Room: - When making my room reservation, I requested a refrigerator and microwave. I did not receive either one. After notifying the front desk I finally got an ancient, beat-up refrigerator that was left on a table. I never got the microwave. - Ancient chairs with dirty upholstery. - Dingy, worn out bed linens. Shining a black light on them would have revealed a long history of secretions.. - Small, low beds (barely double size). - Mattresses too soft - Squeaky, scuffed wood floor - Trash cans did not have extra liner bags, making it impossible for me to leave my trash outside the door to be picked up Bathroom: - Toilet height was way too low; it was like a child's toilet - Sink hot water faucet was loose, cold water faucet was dripping - No vanity (pedestal sink only), the only storage was wood cubby holes (badly painted yellow) that looked like a junior high school wood shop project HVAC: - The room was unbearably hot and stuffy. There was an ancient manual thermostat with a fan control only. The temperature control didn't work. The vent blew only hot air. Breakfast Buffet: - The continental breakfast buffet was perfect for Covid style germ-spreading. Uncovered pitchers, open bags of bread, food in uncovered dishes and platters, serving tongs that could be touched by dirty hands. The only wrapped item was granola bars. The buffet should have had individually wrapped items (where possible). In addition, the food was very mediocre and could have come from a 7-11.

Yelp
So I flew into Baltimore for business and the company put me up here. I looked up the hotel on Google and read the history and the haunting lure of this place. So I was very intrigued about this hotel and I very much enjoyed staying here. The place is antiquated. This building has a rich history on the water front and how it served as a hospital for injured sailors (the employee behind the front desk told me that she's heard of a nurse still wandering the halls and rooms ensuring the guests are safe). Each room is named after some historical person, the rooms and hallways are narrow. Yet there is a certain charm to the place. Walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the next room. My last night there, I was hearing the loud banging and talking of the next door people all the way past midnight. Because of that I ended up getting ready to check out and leave at 2am, 4 hours before I had intended to leave since I wasn't going to get any sleep (thank you whoever was in room 233!) As I was downstairs getting ready to check out, the front desk employee was preparing my paperwork. She gave me a quick history of the hotel, showed me some very amazing artwork unique to the place as well as encouraging me to take the haunted tour of the city. This is a gem in the city and right next door to The Horse You Came In On Saloon, made famous by Edgar Allen Poe frequenting this place (even as a ghost!). So yes, what a great and rich historical hotel that offers comfortable bed and nearby amazing scenic waterfront views.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay here! We stayed for 3 nights and we're pleasantly surprised about how much history and comfort we found. We loved our cozy room on the 4th floor. Jack at the front desk was absolutely amazing and truly made our stay. We heard rumors that it's haunted after we got there but fortunately had no run ins with any ghosts :) The Restauraunt (Duck Duck Goose) attached is beautiful and the continental breakfast provided by the hotel, while basics only, was delicious. This is A great area with lots to do. Cute shops around and walking distance to the aquarium. The staff made sure that we felt safe and took security seriously. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
It is a hotel from the 1700s yes it's old. It's charming, the staff kind and wonderful. Perfect location.

Yelp
This hotel experience was the worst I've ever had and I have been travelling for over 40 years. It is in dire need of upgrades and a good cleaning. I had a three night stay and asked for room service two times and never got it. I had to go down and get clean towels, coffee and cups. Also, I had to empty my own garbage. The icing on the cake was they were without electricity in select areas of the hotel which included the guest rooms but not the common areas which I found rather odd. They did nothing but offer a fan for the room. Another thing I found odd was the electricity was out of order Saturday and Sunday but come Monday morning around 9 a.m. repair persons were there and got it working. Appeared the guests weren't worth overtime pay to have it done over the weekend. I hope never to have to stay there again.

This is my go to chill bar of fells point, unfortunately COVID RUINED IT ! It hasn't been open since early 2020. Hopefully this hidden gem will reopen soon.

Yelp
Historical charm all the way . Yes it's an old building but so worth the stay. You are in the presence of where our nation came to be! Romantic and charming .

Yelp
The one thing this place has going for it is it's location. Everything else is disgusting. The bathroom appears to have not be cleaned ever. Thank goodness we only stayed one night because there is NO WAY I would step foot in that shower. The mattress may be from the 1800s; most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The mini fridge makes a horrendous noise for about 15 minutes every half hour. The floors creak and are uneven...I can go on but I can't wait to go home and clean myself of this horrendous inn.

Gale S.

Yelp
Customer Service was very good. The rooms needed a major renovation. The furniture was stained and falling apart. The tub/shower looked as if it had not been washed in weeks. The stopper laid on the side and I am not sure if it even worked. I refused to take a shower. The towels were old and looked dingy and needed to be replaced. The towel rack was coming off the wall. My husband sat on the sofa in the lobby and the leg fell off. YES this is an old inn but investing in simple upgrades such as towels, furniture, and bathroom appliances (tub, towel rack etc.) would help. The continental breakfast was an opened loaf of bread, bagels, instant oatmeal, and a big opened bowl of yogurt with a spoon to self serve. There was coffee.

Yelp
My husband and I came to this hotel before and after our Cruise to Bermuda. The original expectation was that we would stay in a beautiful historic hotel and enjoy the inner harbor at Fells Point in Maryland. The first night we stayed was on a Friday night. When we arrived, there was no one to assist us with Bags and there was construction going on throughout the entire hotel. It was dusty and we were never informed that construction was happening. When we got to the room it appeared that a 5 year old made the bed. You had to drag your own luggage up and down stairs. There was no refrigerator in the room and the bed was old and sagging. We thought that room was probably just a fluke so we agreed to stay a second time once the cruise was over. We returned after the cruise and paid $40 for the early check in. They gave us a room where bed literally touched the floor in the middle and the bottom corners were 12 inches off the floor. Again there was no refrigerator. Construction mess was worse than before with hallway lights hanging from exposed wires and we had to walk around ladders and extension cords while dragging our luggage through all this. I called the front desk to complain about the bed and there was no answer. I then walked down to complain. They gave us another room but did not help us move. Again we needed to drag our luggage through the cords and the hanging wires. The next room was better and they did find a refrigerator for us. We will never stay in another historic hotel again without asking a ton of questions. This was SO DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!!! I understand construction but you should never reserve the rooms where it is occurring. I have never stayed in a historic hotel that did not have a porter or someone to assist you with your luggage. The Fells Point Harbor was very nice and the Saturday Morning market was exceptional. Shame on you Admiral Fell Inn.

Yelp
Admiral fell Inn is a hotel on a historic property right in the middle of Fell's Point. The property, built around 1900, has had many incarnations including a boarding house, YMCA, and a vinegar factory. These days, the Admiral Fell Inn is an 80 room boutique style hotel. There is a fine line between "historic" and rundown. I would say, Admiral Fell falls right in the middle. It has some charm, but can definitely use some sprucing up. In certain areas the paint is peeling, the floor and furniture is a ruffed up....My family has stayed at the Admiral a few times in the past month. The rooms seem to all be unique. Each room is named after a historic figure of Baltimore, with their picture and story outside the room. Staying at the Admiral is almost like staying at your older aunt's house. The rooms have a "lived in" look. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are awful. The blankets are thin so I always ask for an extra one. As in many older properties, the bathrooms are often small without much counter space. For women, that can be annoying. I was however, pleasantly surprised that the water pressure was fantastic and I enjoyed my showers. On that particular visit our rooms had no refrigerator but on a recent visit there was a fridge, so if you need one , I would request. Best part about this hotel? Being right in the center of Fell's Point! I love being able to walk out the door to get coffee or go to restaurants. A car is not necessary if staying right in the area, but if you have one, you need to find your own lot...kind of inconvenient. Being a boutique hotel, Admiral Fell does not have some of the amenities a large or chain hotel has like an on-site gym or store. Usually there is a shuttle to John's Hopkins and a gym but that was canceled due to Covid. The French restaurant on property was open. The bar and breakfast were not. On our first visit they did not provide anything to eat, but more recently they provided coffee and a bag breakfast. Food on the premises does not matter much to us as there are so many options for dining right outside the front door. There is even a 7-11 across the street. Bottom line: If you are super picky, the Admiral might not be for you. However, the friendly staff and price make it a great deal in Fell's Point!

Yelp
We tried to book a block of rooms for our wedding this month, and as our guests are trying to book , the hotel staff is telling them there is NO ROOMS AVAILABLE EVEN THOUGH WE PAID FOR THE ROOM RATE. Three of our guests have tried to book and they have been left on hold 45 minutes to an hour with no direct answer. We tried to bring them business and we got absolutely screwed over. I will be telling everyone about how horrible the Customer service is for the rest of my life because now I'm having to scramble three weeks before MY WEDDING. AVOID AT ALL COST

Yelp
Went in March (72 degree day) and it was 85 in our room. We were told the AC "unit" is worthless (the whole building has just a vent in the room system, not separate units per room and that the in room controls are basically for show) one window was stuck shut and the other only opened about 2" and didn't stay open- we had a guy come up and he brought a dirty block of wood to keep it open- but it wouldn't open far enough to even get that in, so we used a sunscreen bottle. When we tried to get to bed, it was still 84 in there, and there was a live music bar with all windows open across the street, so it wasn't until closing time that they quieted down. There's mold in the shower and the light flickered and popped when I tried to plug something into the same outlet. It is supposed to be an interesting older place, but it was just a terrible night's sleep in a hot hot room.

Yelp
The location is great! Its around EVERYTHING at fells point. You walk out and everything is nothing more than a block away. The view from my room was amazing and all the staff I've encountered (over 5) has been over the top and extremely helpful. The draw backs...its old and historical. The beds are way off the ground tv's small. Couldn't order a movie and the bathrooms were "meh". Water pressure was eh and also went from cold to hot way to excessively. Understand able because its an older place. there were thing very unacceptable though. Like when i cut my foot on a nail sticking out of the floor (hand to put a cork on top so it wont happen again. Ice machine was broken. Windows Didn't stay up and the a/c was not cold, but the heat was way too hot. Not bad but not terrible....not worth the 650 paid for 4 days.

Yelp
Stayed with my family for a weekend event this past month. Wish I could give zero stars. There's no upkeep, they double book for the same room, views are from other peoples apartments. Bugs, uncleaned beds, floors (broken floor tiles with unidentified dried liquids on the floor), unclean bathrooms with no locks on doors so anybody can come in. The announced the day we were leaving that they were shutting off the water system to fix the system which meant no showering or toileting. The showers and bathroom was nasty anyway. By the final day we were relieved to leave, we figured we can drive 5 hours back home to shower properly. Once we got back I immediately washed all of our belongings and cleaned out the car. I was exhausted since I drove us there and back the whole way but it was worth it to not take home any bugs from that place. Whatever nightmares you think about in a hotel, this place was it. The staff not too friendly, a bit sarcastic and charge 10 dollar a day fee for breakfast though the sign says "free continental ". We did not want to stay here but stupidly bought tickets to our event first and didn't have a choice in hotels since a lot of hotels in the area don't accept pets if you bring one and we did. Only great thing about the place IS the location being on the water. Unless you're a 18-25 single who love to party or just a drifter looking for a one night stay then this place won't bother you.

Yelp
This hotel doesn't show up at all for Lyft, so beware. 1st night - no cold water in the room, even the toilet flushed with hot water. Left word with Carlos when I went out Tuesday morning. Nothing changed, despite an engineer fue.on the premises. Crystal moved me to a Koing room (what I reserved anyway) and it was charming. The initial.room also smelled like old sweat. Neither room had been throughly cleaned in some time. And there is no daily.housekeeping - ot wasn't mentioned if I had to ask for the trash to go or if there was a different arrangement. Skip the continental breakfast.

Yelp
What a lot of history including ghosts! This hotel is very unique. Lots to explore and a great location. People are very friendly. It's connected to a couple restaurants so if you don't want to go outside you don't have to. We had a room with a jacuzzi and it worked great but didn't supply bubble bath! Ghost tours once a week.

Yelp
Before arrival, my fiancé and I called in to see if we were able to check in early. We gave the front desk employee, Jack, the name for our reservation and he reassured us that we would be able to check in after 2 pm. Since we arrived around 1 pm, my fiancé and I had lunch before arriving at the inn at exactly 2:45 pm. We checked in with Jack who rudely insisted that check in was at 4 pm, and it wasn't until after my fiancé dropped the front desk employee's name (which was given to us earlier while on the phone with him) that he carried out with his earlier promise. Upon inspection of the room, everything is outdated, the room was basically the temperature outside. After wiping up spilled water on the floor, the white towel was brown. The bathroom was disgusting. I've never left a yelp review because I've been fortunate to never have a bad experience but this was my first. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Yelp
Well if you are looking for a very old historic hotel this fits the bill. For me just a bit too "rustic" translation for creaky floors, cracked bathroom tiles , peeling paint and haunted rooms. The staff is great and do their best so worth a shot if you are looking for a rustic experience . Posted a couple of photos of my room.

Yelp
The hotel is interesting, well located, and has mostly nice staff. However, the woman overseeing breakfast was confrontational and unpleasant. One should not feel on edge at a hospitality breakfast.

Yelp
I try not to comment on the help, if someone is having a bad day a bad Yelp shouldn't reflect the place. But when the help is on, they make everything better! A quick attaboy to Hakeem at the front desk, he was a plus! This is an old building made good on comfort and historic presence. From the cozy antiques to the numerous holiday trees and finally the dog friendly atmosphere, we enjoyed the room and the stay. Moments from everything, and everything at your feet, I highly suggest a few drinks at the local pubs with dinner, followed by a good night's rest and an early walk along the waterfront. This was a nice place to stay.

Yelp
Still horrible and dirty. A friend was staying here I had to go pick them up and it was disgusting! Room covered in hair and smelled.

Yelp
Want to be next to the Chesapeake and kind of get that authentic old time feel? Then this is your place. The furniture and design was definitely Federalist. The rooms honestly remind me of the O. Henry in Greensboro NC (a gem if you're in GSO). The staff here was super friendly and checkout was a breeze. Literally walked by and said, "we're leaving this was our room" and done. The location is great honestly, it's in Fells Point. So you have easy walking access to Hopkins and all sorts of places. You can walk across the street and dangle your feet over the Harbor while watching everyone walk by. An added bonus? They accept and allow pets! We had our goldendoodle and shihpoo with us and they couldn't have been happier in the large King bed. The staff was friendly and so we have no complaints.

Yelp
Honestly this place is a gem. Definitely not a five star hotel, definitely not the most up to date or 'pristine' amenities... but, they're reasonably priced (about $100 per night) and dog friendly. Those were the only two things we cared about! Not only are they dog friendly, they don't charge an extra fee for your furry friend like most other places will. You also don't need to disclose that you're bringing a pet when you make your booking - can be done online or via phone. We brought a portable crate for our dog and left him in it with the special door handle sign while we went out to dinner, and came back to him safe and sound in our room where we left him. TV has good selection of channels for you to leave on for your pet while you're gone, as well. Again, not the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, but I assume that's because the clientele it attracts typically have pets and therefore most people aren't going there hoping to stay in a five star environment. I could see how it would be frustrating though if you were placed in a room next to someone with a dog who barks frequently.. especially because several room doors have large spaces underneath them connecting inside the room to the hallway space. However, while we were there we had no noise issues. They also have an in house breakfast you can pay extra for, which opens slightly later and costs slightly more on weekends ($15.95 per person, if i'm not mistaken). We stayed overnight on a Friday, so we just popped over to the farmers market outside and got fresh breakfast sandwiches to enjoy in our room as a less expensive alternative. Only downside is the parking situation - it's limited. You can pay $35 for an overnight valet of your car, but this wasn't feasible for us as we had two cars with us. Street parking is limited but if you can find some nearby in the appropriate areas (we found spots across the street and down one or two blocks), entered parking stops at 10pm and doesn't resume until 10am the following day (on weekends, at least). So we were able to park overnight for only about $2 total (ie paid for 8-10pm, then the rest was free). Our dog was able to go "empty" in the mulch/shrubbery areas in the market right across the street, but if your dog is pickier and needs an actual grassy area, you might need to walk a few more blocks down to find it. The Pointe apartment complex has several bermuda grass areas outside it, and there is also a small park close by, just a few blocks away. It's a good area, so you don't need to worry about your safety when taking your fur baby out to go potty. TLDR - if you're looking for somewhere reasonably priced to stay a night or two with your dog, this is definitely the place to go. If you're staying more than a night, would suggest parking in one of the nearby parking garages and walking rather than paying for valet each day.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this hotel. From the staged online photos, guests were promised a "private oasis" for their stay. Instead, something more akin to a private latrine was found. If the locked front doors and heavy police detail are an indication, this hotel is not the picture of classic luxury as advertised. The obvious lack of care of the furniture left the space feeling like a hodge-podge of thrift store decor thrown into a room with all the charm and must of the stale belongings of a deceased grandmother. The room this reviewer was graced to stay in was cleaned with the same pristine fastidiousness as a food flinging toddler. Walls featured drips of unknown beverages with the artistic flair of a Pollock painting. Hairs of patrons past tumbled across the bathroom tiles like tumbleweeds. The grime caked tub echoed the cleanliness of mens dorm, leaving me itching to fetch my flip-flops to protect my feet when showering. The scuffed mini fridge sounded akin to a wailing cat trapped underwater, the noise so disturbing that the unit was forced to be unplugged just for peace. This peace mind you that was quickly shattered by the boisterous street noise of any exuberant passerby that so much as huffed a laugh due to the lack of sound proofing. Dogs, cars, people, even questionable scratching within the walls were the score to soothe (or torment) the weary traveller. On to the crown jewel of any hotel room: The Bed. This gem within this reviewer's accommodations would be outshined by a decade old toy ring found in an abandoned quarter dispenser at a grocer. The sheets were freakishly damp and the freshness of the pillows questionable. Bed skirts were tucked under mattresses to hide their stains like a child sweeping dirt under a rug. Floors featured unknown debris including what was either a clump of dirt or a squashed remains of a mummified bug. The silver lining were the courteous and accommodating staff who in this reviewer's opinion will all need back braces for how they are managing to keep the reputation of this of this establishment from degrading any further. The Admiral Fell Inn boasts of the signature event of a ghost tour and guests should expect the experience to extend to their ghastly accommodations that will leave travellers pale with disgust.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Welcoming, accommodating, and made the stay pleasant. Gross room. Bed was so worn out that it kind of resembled a smile with sides up in the air and middle collapsed. Chair was filthy and had layers of grease from decades of human sweat. It's time for a renovation.

Yelp
Do Not stay here! They will do duplicate charges on your card and print fake receipts that they give to you. I checked in the night of the 5th and checked out the morning of the 7th. I have a receipt showing that; I was then charged for the night of the 7th. When I called they had no record of me checking out on the 7th. Luckily I still have the first receipt they gave me. I don't know what game they are playing here but do not trust this place.

Yelp
My husband and I met at the AFI at a New Years Eve party and we were married there 5 years later, so it holds a nostalgic place in our hearts. We decided to stay there again for our 7 year anniversary this past weekend. It was a disaster from the moment we got there. I had reserved the honeymoon suite months in advance. We opened the door to our room and quickly realized something was wrong. When I talked to the front desk, she said our reservation had a note to move us to a different room because the honeymoon suite was leaking and closed for maintenance. Although someone should have reached out to me in advance, I was willing to look past this mishap. We go back to the room to relax and it was filthy. Crumbs on the chair that I could see from across the room, lid from disposable baking dish above the TV, and an empty Budweiser case, trash bag, and broom on balcony. At this point it was frustrating. We're in the middle of COVID where everyone is taking extra precautions to be clean, and this room was clearly dirty. Not to mention, the balcony was essentially unusable as water was pooled everywhere. This is supposed to be one of the rooms highlights and we couldn't even use it. We went down to the front desk again - she understood the issue and offered to have the room cleaned immediately. We took her up on her offer and went for a walk. When we got back to the room, the crumbs were still there (luckily large trash was removed) and they clearly sprayed Lysol (visible film on the floor, which also made it slippery)...but the room was not "cleaned". This was extremely disappointing as we had so many fond memories of AFI. A lot has clearly changed in 7 years.

Yelp
This place off the bat gave me the haunted spooks vibe but we definitely didn't experience anything paranormal. The staff was super nice and very helpful with places to go and eat around Fells Point. The gal who works the graveyard shift sad I forget her name was amazing! She helped us get our car out of valet after hour since our flight the next day left so early. The actual hotel is your classic Victorian style hotel with all the fixings. The windy hallways give this place the extra suspense of is there a ghost around the corner. Our hotel room was adjacent to the infamous 413 every time we walked by it gave me the creeps. Our room had all your basic necessities the bathroom tile could use some work but overall the place was in decent shape for its age. My husband and I enjoyed the older antique like furniture that kept true to the history of the place. Our room was also on the street side and even though windows were shut you could hear almost every conversation. I would stay here again if the place didn't give me the creeps so much.

Yelp
Don't stay here unless you are a history buff (even then - just visit for a tour). Linens are itchy and old; amenities outdated; shower alternates between freezing cold and scalding hot; bed was not made and towels were not changed consistently even when we requested housekeeping. Pro: location in Fells Point and nice top floor conference room for events.

Jane B.

Yelp
There were no coat hangers at all in the room! No water glasses. Only a very thin cover on the bed and no extra blankets - we were cold! There was no phone in the room so that we could call down to the desk to ask for things, and when we tried to call the hotel from our cell phones it almost always went to message. In the morning after our first night we asked at the front desk for hangers for our clothes, glasses and blankets. The manager said that he would make sure housekeeping fixed these problems but when we came back late afternoon, nothing had been done. We had to go down to the desk ourselves to get hangers, water glasses and blankets. In fact we had no housekeeping at all for the 3 days we were there. Only 1 towel each and no emptying of trash cans. On top of this there was no internet in our room. When we asked the manger he said "well I don't have it either, I think there must be construction going on." It turned out that it was working in the lobby though so his comments didn't make sense. The bathroom and doors, and even one wall in the bedroom had some kind of brown splashes on them. It was disgusting! Would absolutely never stay there again!

Yelp
From start to finish this establishment is ACES. From the time I pulled up to the valet until I checked out, I was treated warmly and deservedly. When I arrived there was no valet person immediately available. The general manager, Dominic, came out and carried our bags into the hotel. I knew from the jump this was gonna be a wonderful stay. He offered us a bottle of house made wine, as we were celebrating a birthday and would be staying in the Fell's Point area all weekend. The front desk clerk gave me my choice of rooms, explained the nuances and views involved with each. Every room at the AFI is unique in it's own right. I had a wonderful historical room with a view of the Inner Harbor bay. Dominic the GM was above and beyond a wonderful host. He spoke with me multiple times during the day in passing to make certain, not only was I enjoying the hotel, but the area. Providing me with inside tips on where to dine and enjoy cocktails. He was wonderful and a true asset to the corporation. Overall, if I could give them 6 stars I would. I will always stay here from now moving forward when I visit Baltimore. Great job to everyone involved.

Yelp
This hotel was incredibly unprofessional and treated my elderly grandmother terribly. On November 28, my grandmother arrived around 8:30pm. Her key card didn't work. Then the toilet and tv didn't work in the room so they had to change her room. She was taken to 3 different rooms. Altogether, it took about 2 hours until she was settled in a room. This was extremely difficult on her, as she is 84 years old. To make matters worse, we learned the next day that she had never received a key to the room she finally ended up in. Instead, she apparently had the key to the original room. When we arrived at approximately 9:30pm on November 29th, we tried her key in the room she believed she had. The key didn't work, so I went down to the desk and asked to check that the key was working and we had the correct room number. The front desk employee checked in the computer system, informed me that the system showed her in another room and he gave me a new key card to that room. I went with her to that room, and the room wasn't hers. Then he sent me and my disabled grandmother to another room, which had staircases to climb and had other people in it. We then went to get another room that had another person's things in it. Each time, I was given a key to a room with that was not correct, often an occupied room, and asked to go on a wild goose chase to find the right room. I was permitted to enter numerous rooms that had other people's belongings in them without any security checks or anything. Given the treatment of other people's things, I can only assume that many people also entered my grandmother's room. More worrying, we were unable to locate the room with my grandmother's things in it. Those belongings included medications for a serious heart condition. The hotel did not have a record in the system of the last room that my grandmother was placed in. The only way we finally learned where her things were was when another person who worked at the desk realized that there had been an email about a room that they had tried to check someone else into that had another person's belongings in it. We determined that probably was her room. We checked that room and it was indeed her room. After she was settled and had taken her medications-- now over an hour after arriving -- I went back to the desk to ask to speak to a manager. I was told there was no manager on duty, but a manager named Tajuan would be in for a shift from 6:00am to 1:00pm. I then arrived at 7:00am, only to be told that there was no manager on duty and Tajuan would not be arriving until much later in the day. I asked to speak to another supervisor or manager. I was given the email addresses some email addresses but otherwise was not able to speak to anyone. This is completely unacceptable, and is a horrible way to treat a disabled elderly woman. Don't stay at this place.

Yelp
Have stayed at the Admiral Fell Inn 4 times (2021, 2019, 2018 and 2010) and won't be back. This last stay, March 2021, was awful! Attached photos of room 316 show mouse droppings & dirt in bathroom closet + filth on walls around sink (because water pressure in sink faucets is way too high & causes terrible splash) + filth & debris behind bathroom door and behind toilet + dust on room door. Pictures can't show this, but the cheap laminate flooring was so sticky that everywhere you walked in the room, your shoes made a sticky sound with every step and you never wanted to walk in the room in stocking feet or barefoot. When I complained, hotel manager moved us to Room #389, which was an improvement over room 316...with exception of previous guests' dirty towels left hanging on hook on back of bathroom door (!!) In my opinion, the housekeeping staff lack attention to detail (sorely). The Admiral Fell Inn would be much improved with a major deep cleaning everywhere (lobby, elevators/hallways & rooms) followed by consistent wipe-down of baseboards, walls around sinks, and corners of the floor, between guests.

Yelp
Hotel is absolutely disgusting. Stay clear if u want a clean room. Hairs all over the bathroom, brown water from the shower. Whole place smells gross. The pictures look bad and they're 10x better than what it actually looks like.
